Noiz | DRAMAtical Murder

[ There's no hesitation from Noiz as he skips out of the train and onto the platform, and immediately inspects his surroundings, his expression unchanging, opening his mouth only to let out a minuscule grunt. His attire is the definition of flashy, and stands out a lot against the colors of the station and the outside street, which he promptly heads toward, completely and utterly unimpressed. ]

[ It wasn't long since Koujaku got out of the train: for at least 10 minutes he has been staying nearby, checking his surrounding and trying to find at least one living soul to get any kind of leads on what he had to do to go back home. He could say it has been quite a while since the last time he rode such a old-fashioned vehicle, since these kind of trains aren't common anymore in the island.

While the young adult did want to investigate farther past the train station zone, he decided to let Beni fly off and take a quick look around the city. It sure was a little troublesome, but it was probably the wisest choice for now. All he could do for now is expecting to find someone nearby and check around.

That's when he hears steps coming from the entrance, and as quick as he heard them, he glances at the direction of the new figure walking down the stairs. It surely is not the best sight ever since he got there, and that ticks him off already. ]

[ Trying to call for Noiz's attention, he talks in a higher tone and approaches him. Ah, from all people it really had to be that brat. If he's here, Koujaku sure is begging for someone like Aoba to be there as soon as well.

It's quite visible through his expression how displeased he is already. He couldn't trust someone like that guy. Maybe it's even his fault he's there. ]

Didn't we get out of Aoba's house just some minutes ago? What kind of joke is this? Is this one of your tricks?

[ It isn't in Irene's nature to panic and, looking back, she's somewhat embarrassed by her own frightened demeanour hours earlier - but it can't be helped. The large metal structure (a "train", is it?), the idea of being trapped somewhere with no way to return to the safety of her home, all of that took a good while to process.

Even now, hours later, she still isn't thoroughly convinced about this whole situation. But that's understandable. Surely it must be a dream, she has told herself time and again, unable however to ignore the fact that it's far too linear and she's sure a dream shouldn't last this long.

You may find her wandering about, debating whether or not to visit the cathedral. A little peace might help make sense of things.
That or actually asking around. ]

[ Irene has been in the city for only a few days but she has made a point of getting to know her surroundings until she can finally leave. Today you may find her at the very edge of the park, collecting flowers. She's not yet aware of the creatures that roam the mostly uninhabited area, so she doesn't seem particularly worried.

She's not adverse to company, so you are more than welcome to join her. ]

[ Guess who's also walking around the park, on his second day of investigations (that have brought no result to him because he's a ditz and hasn't noticed the pocket-watch that's in his, well, pocket). His fists are closed and his face looks like it has "bloody murder" written all over it. ]

I swear to... [ mumble mumble ] ...when I get my hands on those... [ grumble grumble. He's about to yell out a second time and praise the heavens above for an answer when something that didn't quite fit with the scenario catches his eye. It didn't take him long to realize it was a person, but upon further inspection, it appeared to a (rather lovely) looking young woman who was picking flowers. Figuring it'd be a better shot at some information than shouting at the sky, he slowly approached her, calling out when he was about five meters away. ]

*It hadn't taken long for her to figure out she's stuck here. Only a fool would think you'd get dragged into a strange town with a strange device and not be expected to stick around whether you like it or not. Needless to say, she's rather peevish about it. Thankfully, she'd found this place, and is currently calming herself with a nice pot of tea. The question is, do you dare interrupt the calm? She doesn't exactly seem like the warm and friendly type.*

[Tate enjoys being able to go wherever the hell he wants, it's like Halloween but... not. The only problem is he doesn't know what to do with his new-found freedom at least not with Violet around. So he's spending it wedged in a corner on the floor at the library.

Hands move up to rub at his head with the roughness of someone who's been fighting off a headache and now simply giving up. When he decides it's not helping he trails his dark eyes around the room, allowing his arms to fall into his lap. The way his blond hair fluffs up and sticks up now clearly screams 'madman.'

It's a while longer before he picks up his pocket watch flicking it to video.]

[there's what appears to be a kid - a new arrival maybe? - hanging around the train station today. he seems to be looking around for something, under the benches, around the corners and at one point lends over the railway track to look at it.

he seems pretty determined to find whatever he's looking for. also he's smiling. not a "Oh I'm so happy to be in a new world!" kind of smile but a downright creepy one.

also his clothing is splattered with fresh blood. that may be a thing to watch out for.]

Sighing heavily, he puts his hands in his pockets, taking in the surrounding area. A train station? Well it could be worse. Checking his pockets a bit more thoroughly, he finds a pocket watch. He doesn't carry a pocket watch. Oh well. At least now he can see what time it is. He opens it and looks it over. It's not just a pocket watch. It looks like it has more technology in it. He wonders what these buttons do, and begins pressing them.]

[Sucre half-stumbles off the train, staring wide-eyed around the area. This place is new! It doesn't even smell the same.

She takes in a deep breath, pleased with the clean smell in the air.]

No smoke, no metal.

[She speaks softly to herself, rocking gently on her heels, bouncing lightly in the grass. Her tone is sing-song, almost melodical, half-whispered to herself.]

No meat, no blood, no gasps in the air. Oh. Oh. Oh.

[Sucre takes a couple more steps away from the train, half-skipping. She even giggles. When she speaks, she doesn't sound afraid - she sounds excited.]

[Crowley steps off the train as if he's supposed to be here. He casually glances around, taking in the scenery. Where is he? Hell if he knows. How did he get here? It doesn't appear that he was summoned. There seems to be a distinct lack of sigils in the immediate area for that kind of magic.

The hand not holding a glass of scotch delves into his pocket, pulling out the old pocket watch, as if the action was something he did daily. Were he not at the train station, he might fool you into thinking he has lived here for quite some time. The lid pops open and he activates a video feed:]

Well now, what have we here? Did any of you lovely kids summon a demon? [Shy? Crowley? Banish the thought. Overconfident? Perhaps.] Speak up, now. I haven't got all day.

[A familiar dark haired demon starts a video right back to him. Meg? You bet, it's Meg. Looking waaaay too amused. Cockroach, she'd say welcome to the city, but well, nope.]

Crowley. I was wondering when the city would start getting desperate.

[A laugh passes her lips before she raises an eyebrow, still grinning. A shoulder is tugged up in a lazy shrug. Oh revenge is sweet. Just you wait right there for her, because she'll be there soon. But she's going to stroll there, enjoy her time.]

It was bound to start bringing roaches in at some point.

[Well hello, Ruby City! There's a cat trotting around your fair city now, which wouldn't be so odd were it not for the unnerving grin on his face as he makes his way along. What does it matter whose creation this one might happen to be?]

Kate didn't really believe in Heaven - nor Hell, but something told her that this train ride was going to leave her with a new set of beliefs completely.

[The man who steps off the train wears a familiar face, easily visible as he fiddles with the watch, the weight of which was unfamiliar in his pocket. The man whom man will know as an angel, friend, ally, brother even, lacks any of his usual clothes, sporting a blue sweater and grey pants, in addition to his look of utter confusion.

It differs noticeably from his usual look of not understanding in that it looks less like he's doing some critical thinking with a vast mind, and more like he's utterly and completely lost.

Almost like a normal person, not an angel.]

Hello? Is anyone... I'm afraid I don't know where I am or... how I got here. Is anyone there?

[To say he's confused is an understatement. One second he was sitting in club rehearsing the Eve of Legend the next he was waking up at a train station. Of course he's since wandered away from the train station into the city, looking for some way home. Looks like there's no buses or boats though that could take him back to Southern Cross Island.

It's with a heavy sigh that he sits down on the curb right in front of the city's clock tower, dragging his hands through his hair.]

[There was a rather strange sight at the train station this time. It wasn't the fact that there was a pony carefully stepping onto the platform, but it was what she looked like. It really wasn't the coloration of her coat or her blonde mane and tale, but rather the cowboy hat that was perched upon her head and a mark that looked like 3 apples on her flanks.]

What in tar nation's goin' on here? This ain't Appleoosa.

[She turned her head to nose around a bit in the saddle bags on her back. Nope, nothing there of use, except there was something new there. Confused, she pulled out the pocket watch and let it dangle from her mouth for a moment. A second later, she set it on the ground and pawed at it with one of her hooves.]

This ain't mine. Never seen somethin' this fancy before. [She shakes her head a bit.] What am I sayin'? I gotta figure out what in the hay is goin' on and how I'm supposed ta get back. I can figure out what ta do with this later.

[She picked the watch up and swung it back into a saddle bag before slowly walking towards the exit.]

[ She's almost a little reluctant to get off the train at first, if only because at least the train is empty, but in the end she doesn't have much of a choice. Allison drags her feet slightly as she steps onto the platform, and once she's off the first order of business is to find out where the hell she's just woken up.

The poster is interesting and all but it doesn't really explain much, just that she's arrived and that she isn't alone. Great. And there she was thinking things were already complicated enough back home. Must have jinxed it. ]

[So many weirder things have happened to the young man that really...he can't be entirely bothered by being dropped off somewhere he doesn't recognize. He's lost long periods of time before. It's just a matter of sorting out where he's ended up, and finding a way back. No one had been at the train station so...Ryou had elected to go exploring. A short walk took him across the city, and ironically, he found himself drawn to the cathedral. Of all places, haha.]

...It doesn't feel very nice here, though.

[His voice is timid, very gentle and unobtrusive. Even a nearby stranger uncertain of his presence would likely find him non-threatening. Unless they could sense the spirit in his ring in any minimal way. Because that dark feeling tends to scare animals and things like that...it's weird.]

[There's a tall knight standing at the station, dressed all in black armor with no distinguishing features. There's something odd about the armor, and when one looks at it directly, it seems to blur before one's eyes, making its wearer seem like a shadow as much as a man. He remains very still for a long while, making no sound, a red glow coming from the eye-slit of his visor.

He appears to be considering something, or perhaps waiting, although as completely covered as he is, it's difficult to guess at his intent.]

[Having dismissed his armor--though he might call it up again at any moment, if he has need of it--Lancelot is dressed simply, in a black suit. He walks through the streets of this strange city, looking for any sign of the familiar, or of the reason he has been brought here. He's surprised to have been summoned once again, and so soon after he had dissolved and ended the false life he had held during the War. He's not pleased by this. What he had sought had been peace, not resurrection.

He cuts an imposing figure, and he has a grim air about him, but unlike when he was clad in armor, there's nothing overtly warlike in his bearing. When he catches sight of someone before him on the road, he speaks:]

[Saber has been a part of the so-called 'welcoming committee' a few tmes now, so it isn't too surprising she is approaching the station when Lancelot arrives. Of course, she isn't expecting to encounter him there-- especially not in that armour.

But she remembers that armour. She recognises it the instant she approaches, just yards from the station, and the realisation roots her feet right down to the spot, permitting no further step. The hesitation stills her throat as well, and she can't seem to call out-- but she's within the knight's line of vision.]

Trent Douglas and Cimeries | OC / content warning: some blood and gore

[It'd be unfair to say that the storyteller is a troublemaker, he isn't even much of a trouble magnet. For a man who fancies himself the butterfly bringing about a hurricane of change with nothing but the power of his words, Trent Douglas is truly an unassuming person. It's healthier to stay under the radar, that's a lesson he learned the day they cut out his tongue. Being possessed by the demon Cimeries has fixed that problem and quite a few other hazards as well but not even Cimeries can reattach his head once it's been chopped off.

It takes some lengths to make a man like him throw caution to the wind.

Yet here he is on this fine day, standing in front of the obelisk, which he has been told is of some significance to their kidnappers...

...and making quite a spectacle of himself.]

...for all that I understand your desire to further your own goals, I have to protest being dragged into your games! I don't blame you for your ruthless opportunism but I hope you don't expect me to be an obedient pet... I claim the same rights to further my own goals as you do to further yours. [The man's face turns pale, then red as he falls to his hands and knees while making choking noises. A moment later, he chokes up nails and shards of glass amidst a stream of blood.

And there you have it, the crux of Trent Douglas' problem: his demon isn't pleased with their little unexpected vacation.]

[Her comment is simple and she makes no attempt to help the stranger. She can sense the other demon and more often than not, since Crowley has taken over Hell, she finds herself wanting to punch every other demon she comes across in the face. Seriously? Why couldn't things just go back to normal where they all worshiped Lucifer and had a cause?

The brunette's head tilts to the side curiously before she shrugs and wonders a bit closer.]

They don't usually care what their kidnapees have to say.

[The girl looks around, after getting off the train. She's dressed in a school uniform but she's looking somewhat distant. As if she's thinking about something else entirely. Then, in a moment, she seems to realize she's not supposed to be here.

She's not exactly happy, in fact she now looks somewhat annoyed but not full blown angry. Yet.]

[She doesn't mean to be so sudden, but Saber has been working as a part of the 'welcoming committee' on-and-off recently. Which... obviously means she must approach those who arrive.]

[ merlin is a small, slight figure, the top of his head barely brushing four and a half feet, and dressed in a roman-style tunic and leggings. he also looks as if he might be two seconds from fainting, his booted steps unsteady as he stumbles away from the train station, planting a hand against the wall to help steady himself. he pauses there, free hand lifting to his brow, dizzy and confused. everything is so overwhelming right now, colour and scent and sound and taste. he's so terribly far from home and duty and the boy-king he'd sworn to protect and care for.

he takes a deep breath, swallowing down nausea and forcing his eyes open again. there are so many strange energies screaming for his attention, it's hard to wade through what's really there and what's present only for him. he'll be fine, though. he always is, no matter how difficult it may be.

he staggers away from the wall again, straightening and slowing his steps to keep them even. the last thing he needs is to look like some sort of drunkard in a strange place full of strange people. he has a reputation to maintain, after all, as silly as he may find it. ]

[By a stroke of luck, or perhaps fate, it is Arturia who approaches Merlin. She has manage to see him falter, and though not knowing who the man is, she feels compelled to aid him.]

[ there is an extremely nervous looking redhead hurrying through the streets. he (or she?) is tall and thin, with strange, animal-like ears and white dappling across his hairline and dotting the curve of his jaw, and with tiny black antlers jutting up and out over the bright shock of his hair.

he looks as if he's expecting at any moment to be attacked (and considering the world that asa is from, maybe that wouldn't be too outrageous), and weirdly enough, plantlife seems to be sort of.. following him. it springs up out of the cracks in the sidewalk as he passes, tree-limbs seem to bend toward him, moss and ivy spread across walks in his direction--

he seems distressed by it, but then again, there's nothing about this situation that isn't completely distressing. being kidnapped is starting to get a little old, especially since he doesn't know why this time. ]

[The train station and everything about it was unfamiliar to him. For a moment, he found himself forced to consider exactly how he knew what a train was, but like so many other things that rang distant and hollow, he could not explain it. He simply knew, though he had never seen one that he could recall.

How strange. It was a feeling that had come to haunt him as of late, ever since the black-haired girl had been found at the border of Muladhara, coordinates 2314 5873. That was when things had begun to change. He had seen his teammates -- no, comrades, they had come to call each other now -- begin to change after that point. Their mannerisms. They way they spoke.

He had not changed. As far as he could tell, he had remained the same.

One of the posters at the station caught his attention, and as he read it over, he bowed his head and closed his eyes, ghosting his fingers over the bridge of his nose as though pushing up a pair of invisible spectacles.]

This place... it cannot be Nirvana. It is not what we were promised.

[Those who emerged from the Junkyard victorious were promised paradise. This place did not fit the parameters he'd had in mind.]

[Book after book is pulled from the library shelves only to be left open on the floor. Frustrated, Twilight bumps her forehead against one of the lower shelves, then slowly looks up.

1. the train station

[ the training clothes worn by the tiny girl standing on the platform might be familiar to anyone who knows Maya Fey; a short kimono, a light jacket, a magatama pendant surrounded by beads marking the progress of her training. Pearl worries her bottom lip with her teeth, her thumb reflexively going to her mouth in a nervous gesture. she isn't scared, not yet, but she is uneasy; she doesn't recognise this place, and at this point she's barely even familiar with trains. ]

Where am I...? This doesn't look like the Los Angeles tray-in station...

[ she mutters the words to herself, hovering nervously. maybe she rode one stop too far? ]


2. the cathedral

[ Pearl's been here for a little while now, but she's still getting used to the sheer size of the city, the way the buildings are all tall and made out of stone. up until a little before she ended up in Ruby City, she'd never even left her tiny mountain village, and she hasn't been able to explore much of L.A. since she met Mr. Nick. so the size of everything, the European-style architecture, is enough to dazzle her; to her, it's almost like living in a city right out of a fairy tale.

the cathedral especially still seems like a castle to her; today, she can be found standing outside of the colossal structure, looking up at the carvings around the windows and the colours of the stained glass with her mouth hanging open in pure, honest awe. ]

[Maya approaches rather quietly (an art known to her only through the method of sneakiness), arms behind her back. Pearl's never gotten to see things the way she does here, and Maya can't help but love to watch.

Leaning right over, hands still behind her back, Maya takes the moment to surprise Pearl.]

[Scenario 1-1: Fresh Off The Boat Train

Of course, being on the train in the first place was a bit jarring, especially when the scenery abruptly changed from the Washington wilderness to... whatever the hell this place was. There's no need for the supernatural prompt for York to get off of the platform, though, he's naturally curious enough as it is.]

Well... seems like we've stepped back in time, Zach. Where do you suppose we are?

If there's a coffeehouse, then there's coffee. And if there's coffee, most likely there's York. After taking a few moments to wander around the streets and such, he's found a table for himself and occupied it, drinking cup after cup, collecting his thoughts. Maybe he needs to be jarred out of them, though.]
