G'day, Ruby City! It's time for a meme for both testdrivers and denizens.

Been itching to test out some CR but haven't had the posts to do it? Thinking of apping a character but not sure they'll fit in the city walls?

Have no fear, a meme for you is here.

Directions:

• Post with your character with their name and canon on top!


• Choose a location and prompt or wait for someone else to tag.

1. Train Station: New arrival, or waiting to welcome people? Either way, the train comes in, but you still can't ride it out.


2. Cathedral: Looking for redemption? Just doing a little sight-seeing? Or just getting a little shelter?


3. The Clocktower: You can see the whole city from here!


4. The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.


5. The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.


6. The Coffee Joint: Run by Lukas, a lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.


7. Le Cafe Anglais: A Parisian-British fusion that's as charming as it sounds and serves the best tea around.

Scenarios

1. Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.


2. Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.


3. Inclement weather: You're here because you've gotten rained in. This wasn't your choice, but at least it's dry-- right?


4. Wild card: Got something better in mind? Well screw these prompts, try it out yourself!

Peter Pan - Peter Pan

[If anyone's paying close attention to the Clocktower, they might spot someone flying around it.

Peter isn't exactly sure how he ended up here, but he's not letting it effect him all that much. Since hopping off the train he's been flying around the city, laughing and playing. Really this was just like another adventure!

Well, except that Tink wasn't here and Peter really isn't use to her not being around. So alright. Maybe half his adventuring was spent Tink hunting. Now though he's sitting on the clocktower, playing his pan pipes while trying to figure out just what's going on.

Oh well, if anything he'll wait until nighttime and just follow the stars home!]

Hello up there!

[The toy shop happens to have quite a good view of the clock tower from the side window, and upon seeing the flying boy, Katherine had to investigate.

A good number of her friends could fly, after all-- though it was very apparent that this boy hadn't Nightlight's glowing trail, nor was he being lifted by the wind the way Jack was. It would seem that his story was quite different indeed, and Katherine sure wants to find out what it is.]

You look a bit lost.

[The shout catches his attention. It takes him a bit of looking around before he spots Katherine, and then floats on down to her window.]

Have you seen Tink? She's about this tall - [He holds his pointer finger and thumb up] - and is a fairy. She was right with me before I woke up on that train...

Well, I certainly haven't seen anyone that tall around here-- or any fairies at all.

Have you just come to the city? I haven't seen you about before, either.

Yeah, I just got off the train a couple hours ago.

[His expression falls for a moment.]

You haven't? So that means Tink isn't here...

[There's no use being upset over it though, so Peter manages to perk up, floating back and cocking his head to the side.]

Just where am I? This doesn't look like Wendy's city.

I've never met anyone named Wendy, at least not here.

This is a place called Ruby City. There are some very powerful people here who brought us all to his city from different places.

Ruby City? Never heard of it.

How far is it from London?

[He frowns at her explanation, scratching his head.]

Are they pirates?

London? That's in England, isn't it?

Well, I'm afraid we're very far from England-- and Russia. That's where I'm from, but... this isn't very close at all.

[Katherine frowns, thinking about it.]

I don't know if they're pirates. I haven't ever seen a pirate except in stories. They haven't ever said they're pirates, though, and there aren't any ships.

Russia, oh I know that place!

[Peter doesn't visit it often though, he's not a huge fan of the cold.]

You've never seen a pirate!?

I have met the grandest of thieves, however. He saved my life, you know.

[Peter hovers in the air, sitting cross legged with his chin propped in his hand. Oh boy! A new story to tell the Lost Boys!]

You've never heard of Nicholas St. North? Well, I'm not surprised. Not everyone is from the same place or time here.

[She leans on the windowsill, grinning.]

Nicholas St. North is moreso the greatest inventor now, however. But he was born all alone and raised by the creatures of the forest. They say he fought off an entire regiment of Cavalry with a bent knife while he was eating.

[The name does sound familiar, though Peter may or may not be thinking of North's other title.

His eyes do widen at her story.]

Oh wow! Really? What else has he done?

Well, at the time, he was a dangerous thief who thought only of himself. But his confidence was well-placed-- he was the greatest fighter in all the land.

But he never stole from women or children like the Cossacks did, and even though they were such strong comrades, he went off by himself with his band of fellows to do impossible feats. He plundered half the wealth of Europe, but he and his fellows gambled it away just as quickly.

Of course, until a certain moonbeam came to ask him for aid.

[underdug]

[ No, Peter, that isn't Nana barking at you. It's a golden retriever. A very upset looking golden retriever. ]

Hey! How did you get up there!

[ Faintly, probably inaudible from that height, as the booming barks come from below. ]

[Well sure could've fooled him! He's convinced it's Nana, to the point where he swoops down towards the sound of the barking prepared to laugh.

But then he sees the golden retriever and pouts. At least for a second. Then he's grinning.]

Hey there!

[underdug]

Ooooh you are floating!

[ Looking hesitant but standing his ground as the pointy-eared fellow comes toward him. He is not sure how he feels about this development. ]

[A mischievous look plays across Peter's face as he hoovers over Dug.

Okay. He's got enough dust for this.]

Yup! All you need is a faith and trust...

[And he takes a pinch of the golden dust from the pouch that hangs off his belt, sprinkling it over Dug.]

And some pixie dust!

What is pix- Oh, ohh!

[ He barks and whimpers as his toes drag off the ground and he floats slowly up to Peter's level.

Looking helplessly at the boy, he tries his best to look brave. It's not working. His little, fuzzy limbs wiggle in protest as he dog paddles in circles. ]

I do not know if I like this...

IT WAS A THING THAT NEEDED TO HAPPEN

[And Peter falls backwards laughing, kicking his feet in the air before doing a back flip to right himself.]

But you're flying, how can you not like it?

I do not like to be up high very much!

[ Wiggling around and tossing his head around to try and get his bearings. ]

Dogs are not meant to float I do not think!
