Ruby City Holy Grail War

PLOTTING POST

This is the plotting post for the Ruby City Holy Grail War event! Please use this area to partner up in master-servant pairs, and generally get some ideas flowing for the event.


Please be aware: we have exactly one master-to-servant right now, so you should be able to team up. If you haven’t found a partner by Thursday, please contact us, and we will employ the random number generator to pair you up.


The GoogleDocs Spreadsheet has all of our participants, everyone’s stats, and will be updated. When you have found your master-servant team, please contact Fel and Meg so they can add the information into the spreadsheet! This post on Waver’s journal is being used to keep an eye on threads, and will serve as an additional point to contact the mods, ask questions, etc.

So I have some plans about who could be Alice's master; but would anyone like to plot anyway? :|a She'll probably try to be a pacifist for the first fight but then defend her master/herself if push comes to shove.

ETA: Alice will more than likely fall into "Protect my master/protect myself, see if others are hurt" mentality because of her age (and lbr, she's not good at using magic period, so having to use it to help fight will be a big ball of New Things to her). I'm using the warg attack as an example of when instinct overrides common sense, though. If she thought she was close to being killed (or her master was), she would do what she could to keep that from happening. (Either by counter attacking or by running/vanishing. TBH she would look for the run option first.) She'll also be telling about the seal functions once she's found her master. So yeah- reluctant to fight but she can and will to protect herself and hers. That pretty much sums up her fighting style. \o/ If you'd like to plot something, let me know here or on plurk/aim!

Okay, so primarily, Soga no Tojiko is not going to understand wtf this is all about, and is generally going to end up treating the whole thing like a Touhou "incident" (i.e. somebody's responsible and their butt should be kicked). That said, she could also be distracted from "resolving" the incident simply by having to deal with any civilians caught in the middle of the conflict, so that's one thing to consider. She's also, ironically, less of the "beat them all up and let the Gods sort them out" type than the usual Touhou incident resolver, although she makes up for it with a hair-trigger temper. If anybody wants to have to deal with a danmakuing ghost on top of everything else, or want to have a situation where she needs to interfere just to make sure OTHER people don't get their asses kicked, lemme know.

Okay so, Waver has experience with Grail Wars before and wants to stop this one. He'll be keen on gathering allies who are not okay with fighting at all, as well as looking for means of monitoring activity throughout the city. If you're good with science, Waver wants to be your friend.

Waver is also extremely fine with going out and engaging in servant battles against those who are taking this war at face value and plan on using the Grail. He's aware this is very hypocritical, and will be trying to avoid having to do this unless absolutely necessary.

Waver is extremely open to negative CR, considering that he's going to spend the entire event going "DON'T DO THE THING!!!"

Also, Fox. If you want to make good on that idea you threw out ages ago about a Kirei and Waver fight? This would be the time, Waver would feel safest getting into a fight with Kirei if he's a servant.

have you ever dreamed of having your own shingeki? well look no further because mikasa ackerman might be what you're looking for! compared to most of her castmates she's quiet and intelligent (and might have a brother complex), so you don't have to worry about that. also she kicks ass, and is a berserker. WHAT A GOLLY GOOD COMBINATION (i think).

mikasa is in need of a master! she'll most likely be cooperative in the game to keep an eye on eren, so she'll fight if she has to and kill if she has to, she knows people come back to life here anyway vOv however she will not by any circumstances kill people who aren't threatening her or her master (or Eren and his master)... also she'll probably hesitate fighting her castmates unless they attack her first

BUT she's so powerful and i'm terrible so it'd be a whole lot of fun to have people bring out the monster in mikasa use command seals go ahead i'll kiss you but hey let's plot see what works out and whatnot /o/ also if anyone wants to kill her go ahead tho she doesn't go down w/o a fight yeehaw

I tentatively have a Master for Madoka already, but I am totally up for any other plotting if anyone would like to fight or team up with Madoka sometime during the event!

Madoka's main goal in the war is going to be trying to find out as much about the situation/grail as possible, with the eventual endgame of wanting to destroy it. BECAUSE, UH, GUYS? SERIOUSLY? WISH-GRANTING DOODADS NEVER END WELL. Other than that, she'll want to be doing her best to protect the people who should really not be in a grail war good god, and also trying to persuade people not to fight because seriously guys. Seriously.

also, if someone could give her an excuse sometime during the event to use her Noble Phantasm i would be forever in your debt.

Lancer!Sephiroth Plotting

Ok, so as plotted already on Plurk. The plan is for Elena to be Sephiroth's master for the HGW. It's going to be full of all terrible-ness because, since when has he relied on anyone else for his existence!

Other than the initial 'Hey, you're a Master and this contract might end up mutually beneficial actually' thread we don't have anything else planned so hit up all the ideas here! (Oh but if you think he's going to tell her about Command Seals, NOPE! xD)

P.S. Amber you probably won't see this until tomorrow but if you could confirm that Elena will be claiming Sephiroth here just for easy ref so that spreadsheet can be updated that'd be cool! Also we need to thread out their contract within the first day or this whole thing will be for nothing!

Checking in to confirm your master-servant pair with Elena. Is it okay to add to the spreadsheet?

As far as she's concerned, the whole thing would sound stupid and ill-informed; fighting over some cup that may or may not grant wishes is really impractical next to actually using your own mental and physical acuity to get your goals. (Which is sort of ironic considering what she did to try to maintain power, but if anybody knows about the unreliability of objects, it's her.) If she could kick the butt of the Grail itself, she would; as it stands, she'd probably just listen to Waver's suggestions on how to handle it, and maybe smack around anybody who's trying to egg on the whole thing.

(On a side note, she'd try to get some Taoist converts on the side, but considering the Crown Prince isn't even IN Ruby City, she'd see it as sort of pointless since there wouldn't be a physical figure to rally behind.)

Having her be eyes/ears and generally sending reports then would be a possible route of action, and you could probably engage masters in fights. 8|a

WHO WANTS TO KILL A BIRD

So Davesprite is pretty set to be Xion's Servant, but I need someone to kill him before the first week is up to free Xion up to gank someone else's Servant. Who has a Servant willing to kill (or a Master willing to force a Servant to kill, or interference who want to force the Grail War to transpire by killing) a fourteen-year-old crow boy who largely doesn't want much to do with all this? Davesprite's mostly in this to protect Xion and to try to keep the Grail from falling into bad hands.

Also, if anyone wants to fight him, I'm so down. Davesprite doesn't really want to kill anyone but he will to protect Xion or others and he may try to incapacitate other combatants if he thinks they're up to no good.
