Let's take this for a spin

G'day, Ruby City! It's time for a meme for both testdrivers and denizens.
Been itching to test out some CR but haven't had the posts to do it? Thinking of apping a character but not sure they'll fit in the city walls?
Have no fear, a meme for you is here.
Directions:
- Post with your character with their name and canon on top!
- Choose a location and prompt or wait for someone else to tag.
- If you'd like, leave contact info for people to get in contact for plotting and other such shenans.
- Tag around! Make friends. Don't be afraid to chat OOC while tagging.
Locations:
- Train Station: New arrival, or waiting to welcome people? Either way, the train comes in, but you still can't ride it out.
- Cathedral: Looking for redemption? Just doing a little sight-seeing? Or just getting a little shelter?
- The Clocktower: You can see the whole city from here!
- The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.
- The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.
- The Coffee Joint: Run by Lukas, a lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.
- Le Cafe Anglais: A Parisian-British fusion that's as charming as it sounds and serves the best tea around.
Scenarios
- Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.
- Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.
- Inclement weather: You're here because you've gotten rained in. This wasn't your choice, but at least it's dry-- right?
- Wild card: Got something better in mind? Well screw these prompts, try it out yourself!
Have fun, guys!
Hojo (as Weiss) | Final Fantasy VII
[Look, Ruby City. It's a large white-haired man with outlandish weapons, not wearing a shirt! No, not the most unusual sight, but this particular pale-haired man has never been here before. He stands very still, studying his surroundings.]
Interesting...
[Clinic]
[Hojo moves through the clinic as if he owns it--as if he owns it and is dissatisfied with it. He goes through the available supplies and surgical implements. It's all so primitive. He's going to have to do something about this.]
[Library]
[This place is equally unsatisfactory, so Hojo, at last, surrounded by a vast number of science books he's thoughtlessly scattered across the floor, leans back and starts reading what appears to be an erotic novel. He is the best library patron.]
Library. sorrynoteversorry
He peers down, eyes narrowed at the text in the book closest to his boot before following the other pages to their center. Silver hair, like his, but in a shorter, spikier style. Reading-
-it should have been embarrassing but-]
never be sorry
Hojo looks up from his book, unashamedly continuing to hold it before him as he takes in the sight of Sephiroth. He's surprised. Sephiroth, who died. Sephiroth, who failed. And yet, he had so much potential--! This is very interesting. The most interesting thing he's seen here yet.
He smiles and crosses his legs, leaning back in his chair comfortably. He could reveal himself, but no, it's more amusing not to, for now.]
It seems I'm not the only literate person in this locale. I was beginning to wonder. And who do I have the honor of addressing?
[The sarcasm in his voice isn't hard to detect. He doesn't bother to pretend to be Weiss. Sephiroth can't possibly know who Weiss is, so what does it matter?]
no subject
I come here infrequently, it helps to keep the mind sharp.
[Head tilt. Sephiroth picks up that tell-tale Mako-gleam in the eyes of Weiss' form in the next moment. It really is unmistakable to him, after all. That's odd though, introducing himself to a fellow who is undoubtedly from his own Planet also? But he'll play along for now, establishing facts as he goes along.]
I'm Sephiroth.
no subject
Perhaps you should come here a little more frequently, then.
[Ha ha. Hojo returns Sephiroth's gaze calmly, still smiling.]
So you're the great Sephiroth. What a surprise. I heard you died.
no subject
His highly inquisitive gaze is now flicking itself all over the form of Weiss, trying to place-]
I did. [Twice, Kadaj doesn't count.] But it never is enough to keep me down, never will be.
[He lightens into a small smile at that, clearly proud of that fact.]
no subject
It's been years since you died. I haven't seen any sign of you.
[Hojo doesn't know a great deal about what happened with Kadaj--he'd been dead, and Weiss had been imprisoned and trapped underground.]
I am Weiss the Immaculate, of the Tsviets.
[Not that Sephiroth asked, but Hojo feels he should establish his false identity.]
no subject
[Seriously where was this guy in the meantime? He must have seen the Meteor, he must have seen the 'Stigma...
Weiss, who? Immaculate. Who named this guy, and what in Odin's name was a Tsviet?]
Immaculate hm? [He'd beg to differ, being the perfection that he is.]
no subject
You weren't in Deepground. You were deemed irrelevant there.
[Sorry, Weiss is the perfect SOLDIER. Not that Hojo is. But he has Weiss' body, so he's feeling arrogant about it. He's going to succeed where Sephiroth failed.]
Yes. I am.
no subject
Deepground? What's that supposed to be?
[Sephiroth has transcended from being simply SOLDIER, if Hojo recalled. He really is now the new evolution of Jenova - others would be hard pressed to knock him from his perch.]
I may have to test that belief, at some point.
no subject
A secret facility under Shinra Headquarters. And the organization housed there.
[Yes, Hojo remembers, but he's very contrary, and he's not even sure if this is the real Sephiroth. If Weiss is starting out at a base level that's higher than Sephiroth's was, well... Weiss, too, is more than a mere SOLDIER. Hojo has hopes that Weiss can also become something so much greater than he is. Much like Sephiroth. He's pure, and that purity is useful. However, Hojo doesn't like to give Project G that much credit. He's the one who's going to elevate Weiss.
As Sephiroth is his creation, however he can only deride him so much before he changes his mind about it and starts to remember what a marvel he made.
He shrugs, as if this challenge is meaningless to him.]
We'll see. Or we can see what we can do together. Maybe what they said about you was true.
no subject
[And even if he had been privy, Sephiroth certainly wouldn't have remembered. It's hardly relevant to his larger legacy anymore.]
And what did they say about me?
[Clearly going into information-gathering mode, now.]
train station or thereabouts....
He frowns a little, not really sure how to address the other, but he can at least extend a bit of courtesy. ]
Is there something you're looking for?
no subject
Don't laugh, Hojo. Don't laugh. Ah, but it's so hard not to laugh at the sight of Zack, approaching him so cluelessly. However, he manages to restrain himself.
At least he can get some information out of him.]
So there are inhabitants here. What I'm looking for is information. What is this place? [He pretends to examine Zack more closely, studying his eyes in turn. He supposes he has to keep up the façade of not knowing him. He'll just pretend to be Weiss, why not?] You're not from Deepground. One of Shinra's puppets?
no subject
There was some irony in this, though of course, he was completely unaware of who he was actually talking to. ]
Some, but most of the city is empty.
[ He waves a hand at the city behind him. ]
It's called Ruby City -- some kind of nexus that draws people here for reasons unknown.
[ His mouth thins a little at the mention of 'Deepground' -- a offshoot of Shin-Ra? Though the way he refers to Zack as a puppet seems to indicate a different kind of association. It's hard to tell.
He shakes his head. ]
Not anymore. [ At the very least, the second chance at life he's been given doesn't have to be under Shin-Ra's shadow. ] I don't remember hearing about a Deepground when I was in SOLDIER.
[ The question 'what is it?' goes implied but unsaid. A healthy amount of caution is necessary here, especially with an unknown. ]
Train station--
The darkness swirling around him tells a different story.]
Ah, Weiss... And yet... One must wonder which it is. My dear brother? Or the imposter?
[dirty rotten evil terrible filthy man who tricked us and stole Brother away--
The darkness seethes momentarily, before drifting back into that swirl of contained anger and excitement mixed all into one.]
no subject
I'm no impostor. I don't know what you mean. I'm the same as I ever was.
[He steps toward him, unafraid, but briefly, he glances away from the man to the city before him.]
What is this place? Are we free, here?
clinic
Especially someone uninjured and not on her staff.]
Excuse me? Is there something I can help you find?
Library
The thing which attracts his attention to the man responsible for the apparent mess within the place is multifold, but he refrains from interrupting him from his reading. Merely taking a seat nearby to observe while he waits for the rain to cease or the man to finish the book.]
