THE IC CONFESSION MEME

Has your character ever wanted to confess something to another character, whether good or bad?  Well, here's a chance for your character to confess whatever's on their mind!  Who knows, maybe its your character's deepest darkest secrets - dispair-worthing tragedies such as failing to save someone to cheating on your third grade history exam.  Or maybe yours is just itching to tell someone else that yeah, you think they're kind of a prick.  You know how it is.

Rules:

1.) Post with your character!
2.) Post to other character,s either logged in or anon, and tell them how you really feel!
3.) Remember, this is an IC meme, not an OOC one. OOC shenanigans are fun, but let's keep this IC!

Life is all about taking risks. Sometimes you have to wear your heart on your sleeve if you have any hope of someone embracing it and helping to keep it warm.

There are a lot of times I don't feel safe about who I am, especially around a certain someone who makes me weak in the knees. But maybe if you try just a little, open up just a bit and show someone you know you can trust just what kind of person you can really be, then I'm sure you'll get there with time.

Like I said, I'm always willing to help. Maybe we can try right now? Is there someone you know you can trust?

Risks should only be taken when you've taken all possible outcomes into account and have properly planned for each. And with love and feelings, there are too may variables to account for.

Ah....

There are some, yes. But their...perceptions of me might be skewed. And there is at least three in which I probably trust enough to think about - but one is...unique. I don't want to cause friendships to be destroyed or altered or ruined because I've opened up to them...

Maybe.. But I think some risks are worth taking, even if you haven't exhausted all other outcomes.

If you trust someone, it shouldn't matter what they think of you. Family is family, and they shouldn't judge you even if you tell them something that seems out of character. People who care won't think differently of you, so I wouldn't worry.

Maybe. But that's probably where our opinions differ on the matter. I'd prefer to minimize my risks.

That's a fairly optimistic opinion. But what if the information you share isn't necessarily dark and evil, but could cause a relationship to shift into a different direction - for good or bad? The implications of being too honest are too great.

That's a risk you have to be willing to take. If it's meant to be good, then it's meant to be good. If not, well, are you sure things would have lasted the way they were going?

The way things currently are, I can only assume that perhaps the relationship in question will remain as it is. New information could cause it to change. I just don't know in which direction.

It's true there are somethings that are better left unsaid, but I'd hate to see someone else in my position. I say you owe it to those closest to you to be honest with them. I'm sure even if the feelings aren't returned, that it shouldn't but a damper in how close you are with someone.

I'd appreciate it more if someone told me how they really feel, rather than hide it from me.

No need to apologize, friend. Comes with the job. Just because you flash a nice shelf and shoot a sly smile, people just as well assume that the only thing knocking around in your head is a marble-sized brain.

I don't assume anyone out there is incapable of love or honesty, just like everyone shouldn't assume that the woman serving them drinks is nothing more than a good show. Like I said, no harm done and no need to say sorry.
