NOV. TEST DRIVE

G'day, Ruby City!
Thinking of apping a character but not sure they'll fit in the city walls?
Have no fear, a meme for you is here.
Directions:
- Post with your character with their name and canon on top!
- Choose a location and prompt or wait for someone else to tag.
- If you'd like, leave contact info for people to get in contact for plotting and other such shenans.
- Tag around! Make friends. Don't be afraid to chat OOC while tagging.
Locations:
- Train Station: New arrival, or waiting to welcome people? Either way, the train comes in, but you still can't ride it out.
- Cathedral: Looking for redemption? Just doing a little sight-seeing? Or just getting a little shelter?
- The Clocktower: You can see the whole city from here!
- The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.
- The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.
- The Coffee Joint: A lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.
- Le Cafe Anglais: A Parisian-British fusion that's as charming as it sounds and serves the best tea around.
Scenarios
- Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.
- Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.
- Bad weather: You're here because you've gotten rained in. This wasn't your choice, but at least it's dry-- right?
- Wild card: Got something better in mind? Well screw these prompts, try it out yourself!
Have fun, guys!

[She pulls a steel-samurai card from the fold of her Kimono and shows it off.]
She even had this with her! [What a perfect 'niece'.]
no subject
[Rings a bell. Not surprised Maya is into it too, though.]
Not surprised she didn't hesitate to bring out the magic panties, though. She's (way too) fond of them.

[So much for a vacation.]
Care to elaborate?
no subject
Well, whoever brought us here-- they're all a part of a really strange and strong force. Sometimes they make some pretty weird things happen... and the place outside the city is really dangerous.
no subject
[Never a dull day around the Wright Anything Agency, that's for sure.]
What sort of weird things are we talking about?
no subject
And uhm, alternate dimensions?
[It sounds like she's joking.
She's not.]
no subject
[Wait.]
no subject
[She can't possibly be serious. This has to be a joke.]
no subject
But there are also monsters outside the city walls, and other... things.
no subject
[Yep. Totally Trucy 2.0]
Just what else is lurking around in this place?
no subject
Not all of the people here are.
[Oh well.]
I guess... a lot of things? Countries, apparently.
no subject
Care to repeat that?
no subject
Apparently in one or more worlds, countries take the form of people... like river spirits, I guess.
no subject
Right. And my name's Santa claus.

Okay, let's assume there really are people countries.
[Sigh. I've probably said weirder things in court, though.]
How does that even work?
no subject
But, with what they told me... Hey, do you know anything about Shinto or Japanese mythology at all?
Or, I dunno, have you ever watched Miyazaki at least? [That'd be easier.]
no subject
[How could I not?]
no subject
You remember how the Dragon Boy-- Haku-- was the Kohaku River? Like. He was the river.
It's kind of like that!
no subject
[Sounds more like a group-wide delusion than millenia old countries, to be fair.]
How do you know this isn't just a cult of crazy people?
no subject
no subject
[Wait. Didn't Mr. Wright say Maya was a spirit medium?]
I don't think so. I'd sooner doubt a group of people claiming to be "countries incarnate" than Mr. Wright's word.
