7. Le Cafe Anglais: A Parisian-British fusion that's as charming as it sounds and serves the best tea around.

I had found an honorable death, or so I thought. It seems I'm mistaken.

I thought I was going to die, too.

Do you think this could be where people go when they die?

[He'd thought that if there was somewhere like that, an afterlife, he might be returned to his normal state, but if that's not the case, than that's just not the way things are. There's nothing he can do about it, so he'll have to make the best of it.]

Hm? What do you mean? How can you go anywhere when you die?

Some people say that when you die, your soul goes to another place.

I think that's true, because I met a person once who died before, but their soul came back.

...Soul? What is a soul, then?

It's something we all carry inside us. The spirit that makes us who we are, that gives our body life and character.

I have not heard of such a thing. When an animal kills another, they are consumed. One's body becomes part of another's. Or they go into the Earth.

That happens, too. But there's more to you than just your body. There's your mind and your soul.

Do souls fight to survive, as well?

I think so. They can be very strong.

Some people say the soul is eternal, but I don't know about that.

It's hard for me to imagine anything that is eternal.

It is hard to imagine, isn't it? But I think some things could be forever, even if it's hard for us to understand.
