NOV. TEST DRIVE

G'day, Ruby City!
Thinking of apping a character but not sure they'll fit in the city walls?
Have no fear, a meme for you is here.
Directions:
- Post with your character with their name and canon on top!
- Choose a location and prompt or wait for someone else to tag.
- If you'd like, leave contact info for people to get in contact for plotting and other such shenans.
- Tag around! Make friends. Don't be afraid to chat OOC while tagging.
Locations:
- Train Station: New arrival, or waiting to welcome people? Either way, the train comes in, but you still can't ride it out.
- Cathedral: Looking for redemption? Just doing a little sight-seeing? Or just getting a little shelter?
- The Clocktower: You can see the whole city from here!
- The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.
- The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.
- The Coffee Joint: A lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.
- Le Cafe Anglais: A Parisian-British fusion that's as charming as it sounds and serves the best tea around.
Scenarios
- Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.
- Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.
- Bad weather: You're here because you've gotten rained in. This wasn't your choice, but at least it's dry-- right?
- Wild card: Got something better in mind? Well screw these prompts, try it out yourself!
Have fun, guys!
no subject
[He has no real reason to be apologizing, but he does anyway. He doesn't want anyone else to be in a bad situation.]
I hope it isn't too much trouble for you.
I can't walk.
[He'd like to get up, but that isn't an option. He doesn't have legs.]
no subject
[ he's interested, that's for sure. for such a small, young thing to be unable to walk? what kind of suffering must he go through on a daily basis?
it's a curious thing, human emotion, but one of the more exciting aspects of his humanity he's bothered keeping alive. he feels it now, the inherent need to want to know anything and everything, the desire to know the reason why this boy is the way he is.
he plucks at the sheet, like he means to lift it up. ]
It sounds more troublesome to you by far. Are you diseased?
no subject
[He'd prefer that no one be hurt or upset.]
I'm not... really sick. I'm an experiment. So it's not as if I can make anyone else sick.
[He glances down at the sheet worriedly when it's plucked at. The Beast he's fused with is bizarre, to say the least, and he's not used to anyone but the researchers looking at it. Even Perseus hasn't ever asked to.]
no subject
[ he sees the way the boy's looking down and stops, taking in his reactions carefully. he doesn't fear an attack, not from someone this... well, immobile.
even so, he is a gentleman. so he'll ask, first. ]
May I see?
no subject
[Isemi doesn't exactly like being in the hospital with the researchers, but he misses Perseus, and he knows it's unsafe for him to be out like this, in his condition.
When he asks his question, Isemi hesitates. He's not sure why anyone would want to look at him, but then again, the researchers do, all the time. He's more concerned for the other man's sake--not wanting to upset him--than for his own, even though it is strange.]
All right.
[What's left of his body is a wasted wreck, and then there's the living beast he was hybridized with, malignant and monstrous, coiled around what remains of him, pulsing faintly with malevolent life.]
no subject
but then it turns fond -- like it's much difference, when faced with that -- and he sets the sheet gently back down. ]
You're a brave boy, aren't you? Bearing that all on your own.
no subject
I'm not brave.
[He's not a hero, like Perseus.]
Sometimes things happen that we don't like, but to get upset about them would only make them worse. So, I'll be happy instead of sad, because I can choose to be.
no subject
[ he doesn't quite touch the sheets, but his hand is hovering dangerously close to it, so the threat is unmistakably there. he's seen the Akuma the Earl breeds, he's seen the humans that they evolve from, and the agony and the suffering that goes into their creation. he's no stranger to pain himself, either. ]
Have you ever thought about ending it all?
no subject
[The agony is constant and intense, but Isemi says this simply, giving no idea of how severe his suffering is. He has more of a reaction to the suggestion that follows, his eyes widening at the thought.]
No, I wouldn't do that. I have a friend.
[He knows he's going to die. He'd thought he was near death before coming here, but every moment he spends with Perseus is a moment worth living. Why would he want to miss one of them?]
no subject
[ it's probably a moot question, given the boy's current state. surely a friend wouldn't leave him here to fend for himself?
well. perhaps some friends would. ]
Are they important to you?
no subject
[Isemi trusts Perseus completely. Perseus wouldn't leave him of his own accord. If he's not here now, there's a good reason for it. If Isemi was taken away by magic, maybe Perseus doesn't know where he is and can't find him. But he misses him...]
He's the most important person to me.
no subject
[ he's not trying to depress him, not really... but these are important questions. ]
What if you get hungry? Or what if it rains?
no subject
[He knows he's completely dependent on other people for help. There's nothing he can do about that, so he accepts it.]
I'll need someone to take me to where it's dry and give me something to eat.
[Or he'll die. It's as simple as that.]
no subject
[ he straightens up, adjusting his clothing though there really isn't any need to. for a moment he debates the merits of simply "deleting" this boy right here, right now, to put him out of his misery.
but it is only for a moment. ]
What is your friend's name?
no subject
[He's sure Perseus would do those things for him, if he had to, but he isn't allowed or able to leave the hospital. They keep him alive there.]
His name is Perseus.
no subject
[ he's doubtful that the man is here; if he was, why would he leave the boy here, alone, helpless as he is? no, it's still curiosity that compels him to continue his questioning, and he's happy to let it go on if only for the pleasure it brings him. ]
no subject
[Isemi is all too happy to describe Perseus, especially if it will help him be found.]
no subject
Ah... while you wait for him, perhaps you would like to be moved somewhere out of the way?
[ he's not entirely sure where out of the way would be, but he figures if the boy is out of high traffic, then that's good enough, right? ]
