G'day, Ruby City!
Thinking of apping a character but not sure they'll fit in the city walls?
Have no fear, a meme for you is here.

- Post with your character with their name and canon on top!
- Choose a location and prompt or wait for someone else to tag.
- If you'd like, leave contact info for people to get in contact for plotting and other such shenans.
- Tag around! Make friends. Don't be afraid to chat OOC while tagging.
Locations:
- Train Station: New arrival, or waiting to welcome people? Either way, the train comes in, but you still can't ride it out.
- Cathedral: Looking for redemption? Just doing a little sight-seeing? Or just getting a little shelter?
- The Clocktower: You can see the whole city from here!
- The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.
- The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.
- The Coffee Joint: A lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.
- Le Cafe Anglais: A Parisian-British fusion that's as charming as it sounds and serves the best tea around.
Scenarios
- Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.
- Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.
- Bad weather: You're here because you've gotten rained in. This wasn't your choice, but at least it's dry-- right?
- Wild card: Got something better in mind? Well screw these prompts, try it out yourself!
Have fun, guys!

What's this about the dark age of the law though?

Though you may wish to forget, it is fruitless to do so. This tomfoolery about the "future" does you no justice, Wright-dono. Surely you would not wield your blade once more if you did not wish to acknowledge your past as well?
no subject
[...wait. A second.]
Hang on. First of all, why does YOUR conviction also lead to this Dark Age of the Law... and second of all, what do you mean "wield my blade once more?"
no subject
Even if it sounds like the cool premise to some anime.]My conviction of course, being that I was a promising young prosecutor, charged with the murder of my esteemed mentor and the bombing of a certain Space Center; a sentence I would serve until my death-- before I was spirited away to this rather unique place, that is.
[ He says all this with a smirk. ]
It had been brought to my attention by a certain Chief Prosecutor that you planned on returning to the field of battle, mainly: the courtroom. As I understand it, your blade, that attorney's badge of yours, was recently returned to you. Am I wrong?
no subject
...Did... did you just say I get my badge back?
no subject
That is correct. Your case was reevaluated and your name cleared in the time it takes for a warrior to draw his sword. As one would expect where you're involved. It seems it pays to have Chief Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth among your allies.
no subject
Overwhelming joy and gratitude is probably not one of them.*
So I'm not washed out... and Edgeworth helps me out... I can still fight! I can still defend! This is the best thing I've heard in EONS! You have no idea, Mr... Ah, you know what, I don't think I got your name yet?
no subject
Simon Blackquill. That is my name. [ He goes in and pets his hawk while he's at it. That's certainly one way to make himself seem less scary. ] And defend you do. As I understand it, you are the head of the Wright Anything Agency, which employs two youn lawyers under your esteemed tutelage.
no subject
[EAT it, Franziska Von Karma!]
But wait... two lawyers? I've heard of Apollo Justice from Trucy, but who's the other one?
no subject
[ He's surprisingly knowledgeable about her. Well, maybe not so surprisingly. ]
no subject
[Man, to think I could be that influential in the future... Mia, I hope you're finally proud of me.]
...Look, I know this is probably a confusing reaction. And I AM still curious how you're serving as a prosecutor if you're convicted. It's just... I've been dealing with a sort of inevitable fate for months now, and you're the first person who's provided a real light at the end of the tunnel, Mr. Blackquill. You say that Edgeworth is the Chief Prosecutor? Then I'm going to assume he has a good reason to let you stand in court. He's not the sort to make those sorts of decisions lightly.
In the meantime, maybe we could find a place so I can explain this place a little better?
[...and maybe get those chains off, because they're REALLY unnerving.]
no subject
I have my reasons. Even a convicted felon has his duties to perform. Your relationship with the Chief Prosecutor must be quite close if it alone is enough for you to accept this contradiction.
[ Hard to say if that's a compliment or not.
It is.]I would be in your debt, Wright-dono. These new surroundings have muddled my senses, but I can see that there is much of this place that I do not yet know.
[ aka: oh no, help me nice lawyer man. I'm not manipulating you or anything. ]
no subject
Yeah, we... go back a ways. I trust him pretty implicitly.
You don't know the half of it. I know a blacksmith who can help with the shackles at least. We'll go from there.
no subject
I see. That would be most helpful.
[ That creepy jingling from his chains gives him so much character, though. And it's not like he couldn't break them with a nice flat surface... but he won't be sharing that any time soon. ]
Lead on Wright-dono, and Taka and I will follow.
