[Alice eyes the cluster of mistletoe hanging above Jason and gives a thoughtful hum.] Do people have to kiss if they're under it, I wonder? [Looking at him properly, she asks.] Do you suppose a hug would be as good?

I think a hug would be more than sufficient, but that's just me.

[She pauses as if expecting an answer, but then looks back to Jason.] Do you like mistletoe?

[ He raises an eyebrow. Alice was something of an odd one, that's for sure. ]

That makes sense.. What if you were under it with someone you didn't like? I wouldn't hug them, if it were me.
