I think it's safe to say it's a horrible tradition.

It is! It's terrible! It's uncultured and uncouth and I'm convinced it must be barbaric as well, it's certainly an outrageous burden!

[He sends the mistletoe a suspicious look.]

It's such a ridiculous tradition, why, you might get stuck under a mistletoe with an enemy, wouldn't that be horribly impractical?

[She laughs a bit at that.]

Good thing I'm not stuck with the enemy then.

But I think it is pagan, but you can't say anything, since it's an ancient British tradition!

Merlin, it was probably invented by Muggles!

[The mistletoe gets another vile glare sent its way, but he's not leaving. Or stepping out from under it. No, just clearing his throat awkwardly.]

So... what are the chances of it being jinxed against ignoring it? I'd rather not spend a week with my face covered in boils.

Tradition states that you have to kiss or bad luck will happen. I've actually gotten stuck under this once before and...

[She takes a step back, or tries, to demonstrate.]

[Regulus' eyes widen.] Not quite a Furunculus jinx then.

[He tries himself, just in case Jane is having him on, but no, there is no leaving.] Well, in that case... [He gazes at her expectantly, oh, he's trying so very hard to look unaffected. If only his blush weren't betraying him.]

[bifroster]

Well...

[Oh, don't worry. She's blushing as well. And damn him for being taller on her. Standing on her toes, she reaches up and kisses his cheek.]

[Blushing bright red, yes, but Regulus can't quite hide his disappointment.]

She pulls at her feet, but nope, she's stuck.]

[He coughs.]

[With that, she's on her toes once more and she quickly kisses him on the mouth.]

Regulus' hands twitch at his sides and he gives in, placing them on her hips.]
