Light, the alcohol here barely does much unless I drink enough to level Titan himself. [Kind of an over-exaggeration, but you get the picture.]

I'm fine. What's gotten into you?

I have never seen you acting shy. {It has to be the alcohol, right?} It's either this or something else?

Then let's assume it's something else entirely. [She rolls her eyes before concealing her soft smile with her cup. Bless this woman for trying to understand. It was the cutest thing in the world.]

[Goddess, she was going to have a hard time explaining this one. Letting out a slow breath, she lowers her cup.]

Because I didn't want someone distracting me from taking care of Serah. {So she had toughened herself inside and out.} I was worried I would lose her.

You can't keep yourself away from it forever, you know. Serah...[She hesitates, but only for a second. Enough time to cover it up.] has Snow, right? Wasn't Hero gonna marry her?

[She had to remind herself that from Lightning's standpoint, the two could have been frozen in time in an embrace on the Archylte Steppe. For her, it was a much different reality.]

[She repressed the urge to squirm under her gaze, looking anywhere but in her eyes.]

L-...[She looks at her quickly before darting her eyes away again.] Let's just say you made an impression, yeah?

{A smile crosses her lips before she realizes how happy those words make her. No, that's…

[She gives a nervous laugh before rubbing her neck sheepishly. She couldn't tell what she was thinking, but it was enough for her to see that smile. It was rare to see it at all before, but now...now it just seemed to come freely to her since she arrived.]

{Despite missing everyone else, it's nice - more than nice - to see Fang again. It's like a weight has been lifted off of her shoulders...and her heart. Her relief makes it easy to smile. Add on the fact that Fang seems interested in her, her smile just...grows.}
