[ Now looking at him, rather close. And excited!! She can't wait for him to try to make her a VH. ] Do you want a kiss on the lips or....?

[Waver just has to hide his face in one hand, if only to disguise exactly how bright red he is at the moment.]

[ She places a hand on his shoulder. Er, after brushing some of his hair back. ] Hey, now. We're both adults. It's both of our choice.

[ Many a men would probably have the Jaws theme music playing in their head at this point. ]

Okay, yes, but I'm rubbish at this sort of thing, hence my preference for you to make the decision.

[Really, it isn't the Jaws theme playing in Waver's head, it's terrifying awkward silence. Jaws would be preferable.]

[ She's going to draw in very, very near. So much that her lips would brush his.

And stop right before it turns into a proper kiss.

Because she's an ass and likes to tease. ]

[One one hand Hange, that was totally mean, drawing it out like that. On the other, Waver's surprised himself by not standing there like a deer in the headlights, and is kissing back. Closed mouth, and probably over thinking it if his scrunched up eyebrows are any indication, but still kissing back.]

[ Uuhhh what. She did not expect him to kiss back so this is uh. Surprising to say the least. But it also does feels nice. She hasn't kissed anyone in a while except maybe Titan!Eren on the cheek because he is a precious Titan-sifter (who can blame her, no one wants to kiss Hange Zoe)-- but this is different!

Anyway, those thoughts aside, it seems that her own kiss back is a bit more firm in turn... until she abruptly pulls away, her own reciprocation towards him in the kiss clearly surprising herself with a light flush to her cheeks. ] ....And that should do it.

[ She is also aware of how close they are right now, but she doesn't move to take a step back just yet. Odd. And she doesn't seem to want to figure out exactly why this feeling that keeps her there feels odd to her, for hesitation on what it actually might suggest. ]

[Waver shifts a little. Even he wasn't expecting his own reaction to being kissed - he usually freezes up like a deer in the headlights. At least the blush is there, that's definitely normal and ever-present in similar situations.]

[ Her fingers drum thoughtfully upon his shoulder. She looks as if she's about to say something, stops herself, and then after a pause she speaks up again: ]

I expected a more flustered reaction from you.

I KNOW BUT STILL IT WAS LIKE "....NOOO I MISSED HERRRRR"

[Waver sniffs automatically and crosses his arms.]

Maybe I'm just controlling it better!

[ And releasing him completely to step back. She forces laugh. ] Yeah, yeah-- let's go with that.

[gordianknots]

Yes! Obviously.

[He springs up immediately, taking a moment to stretch.]

I mean you clearly have better control than I do but--

[ Quirk of the brow. ] ...But?

But I don't even know, apparently I've gone from unable to speak to pointless babbling!

Aha~! That's... fine! Perfectly fine. [ Yep yep nothing awkward here. ] It just means that I really swept you off your feet with that kiss, huh?
