It's the most wonderful tiiiiime of the year. For mistletoe!

Oh no, mistletoe!

SHOOT. Who put that there?! Well, you’re caught - pucker up!

How to Play

  1. Post your character and canon in the subject line
  2. Next person who responds is the one you’re caught under the mistletoe with!
  3. Go as awkward, sweet, or embarrassing as you like! (Quick cheek peck? Full French? Sure! But you have to kiss or the Nargles will get you!)
  4. Comment, Tag, and catch others under the mistletoe. Have fun!

Gratuitously stolen from bakerstreet.

[Alice smiles at 202 and then asks out of curiosity,] Do you have mistletoe where you're from, 202? [Maybe she didn't!]

Suuuuuup

Mmhmm. [She nods, reaching up to brush the little fixture curiously with one finger.]

I'm not sure I understand the significance of bringing it indoors as a decoration, though... It's a parasitic plant, and quite common, really. Mostly in conifers, if I recall correctly.

[Tilting her head to glance downwards at the little girl, 202 shrugs and offers a hapless sort of smile.]

I never have been much good at making sense of our hosts' whims, though.
victoriantype: (Knee high to a mushroom;)

nmh just having her be cute, the usual

Parasitic..? But it doesn't look dangerous at all.

[Alice giggles.] Would you like to know a secret? I'm not very good at it, either.
unit_202: ([Sideeye])

Guhhhh she just kills me /)w(\

I don't think any of us are.

[Chuckling quietly at the child's "secret," 202 shrugs again.]

But I'm curious... How do you know mistletoe, then, if not for its usual properties? You recognized it easily enough...
victoriantype: (There's a riddle there;)

not even sorry lbr =3=

There are drawings of it in some of the books at the tea shop. I recognized the leaves and made a guess. [She smiles.]
unit_202: ([Why did you])

An educated guess. The distinction is important.

[She nods, looking approving. Perhaps the child shows a bit more promise than she'd originally anticipated in one so young.

Curious about the choice in decoration, she reaches up with the intent to pluck it down for further examination... Then frowns in confusion when it won't come loose.]

...Well, that's odd...
victoriantype: (Curiouser and curiouser;)

[personal profile] victoriantype 2013-12-21 08:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Is it so important?

[But Alice files that away for later. She watches as 202 reaches for the mistletoe, pulls and.. The mistletoe doesn't fall free into her hand.]

...Do you think it could be glued in place?
