4. The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.

5. The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.

6. The Coffee Joint: A lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.

7. Le Cafe Anglais: A Parisian-British fusion that's as charming as it sounds and serves the best tea around.

1. Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.

2. Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.

3. Bad weather: You're here because you've gotten rained in. This wasn't your choice, but at least it's dry-- right?

Lumina | Final Fantasy 13: Lightning Returns

2-1 - The Cathedral

[Lumina had found the cathedral shortly after she arrived, but she'd tiptoed around actually going in, just because she knew Vanille wouldn't be there. Which didn't really matter, exactly, except that she'd rather not be reminded of her absent friend.]

[Still, she had to go eventually, right? Which was why the odd little girl could be found wandering slowly around the altar area, her steps big and long, her hands folded behind her back, the light aura of chaos fluttering out of her as it always did. She paused occasionally to examine something, a faint smile on her face.]

[It really did remind her of the grand cathedral in Luxerion. If...much smaller. And without all the people obsessed with God. She could get used to that bit...]

5-2 - The Library

[Lumina was really not used to unfamiliar situations. After a hundred and fifty years, she'd adjusted to the small cluster that remained of the world. And suddenly she was thrust into a new (if just as small) place, except one she knew nothing about!]

[Well, that wasn't going to stand, which was why she was wandering through the library, plucking books off the shelves and flipping through them. Sometimes she put them back, most of the time she tossed them absently onto the floor, and occasionally one would vanish into the chaos for later retrieval.]

[She'd been there for a few hours, and by then there was...well, something of a mess.]

4 - Wildcard Wherever!

[Wherever they are, whatever they happen to be doing, someone suddenly gets the feeling that they are being watched. It's not that subtle, itchy sensation either, it's the genuine idea that someone is nearby.]

[And, in fact, they are! Lumina is perched nearby, typically somewhere up high, a slightly amused expression on her face as she puzzles out whatever the other is doing, her legs swinging idly in the air. She'd be much like any other tween except for the slightly loli dress, and the...bits of black chaos that seem to be seeping into the air around her. Not that she pays that any mind.]

[ooc: Lightning Returns spoilers are possible, but Lumina is too much of a troll to give anything away, and I'll avoid them as much as I can!]

[train station]

[Stepping off the train, noting how primitive a method of transportation it is, and looking around, the android first takes the time to scan the immediate area for persons of interest.

Finding none of particular interest to her, she decides quickly that she'll have to settle for the next best thing: anybody passing by. Hopefully, they won't mind. Even though KOS-MOS doesn't particularly care whether they do or not.]

[This... is also primitive. Who reads books anymore? Except Jin and Junior. Still, she's at least courteous enough not to put them away haphazardly or throw them like Shion might, who in no way conceals her disdain for her brothers hobbies.]

[park]

[Feel free to find her carrying her arm, sparks of power flickering from her shoulder where it was torn off.]

2-1

[Caius wasn't expected to be here but a presence alerted him through the Chaos that something had shown up. With Yeul safe, he had to see for himself. He teleported there, the black miasma dissipated to reveal his presence.

He cants his head to the side. He knows the aura but he can't place it. The visions said nothing about her but that nagging feeling that he knows her from somewhere is very much there. He steps forward, his footfalls echo through through the vaulted ceiling.]

I am under the impression that I should know you though the placement has be vexed.

[The visions that he's seen are foggy at best like grainy images on a television screen and faded.]

[Lumina turns a moment before Caius actually appears, her head tilted curiously to the side as examines the chaos portal. Well, she knew there were a few other people who could do that trick, but other than her, they tended to hide away in their palace. So...hmm.]

[She just smirks faintly at his statement and gives a little shrug as she spins to face him completely, her hands on her hips.]

Well, you've been alive forever, right? Doesn't everybody look familiar by then?

[No comment about his apparent willingness to wander. At least, not yet.]

[servaturus]

[Ooh, that little chipper attitude of hers grates him. He huffs instead and steps to the side with his sword still on his back. No way was he going to pull it if she wasn't a threat to him.]

Hm.

[He couldn't tell if it was Lightning or Serah he was talking to but quickly dismissed it. Without knowing what she is, it's better not to delve into it any more than he has.]

Memory blurs in time though it matters little here. You are in a realm where time and death matters not.

Oh right, because we all know that's true.

[Lumina just rolls her eyes as she strolls along the aisle up the center of the cathedral, her gaze everywhere except on him.]

I mean, I might believe you, if I wasn't absolutely sure that you remember every little detail of every little Yeul.

[servaturus]

[His eyes narrow. Only one other person knew that detail and that was Yeul herself. His jaw sets, his chin lifts.]

Who are you?

[Okay, she's really setting him off a little more.]

[chaoticwhimsy]

Me? [She turns to face him again, letting the chaos seep out of her a bit more, black flecks flicking up into the air as she places one hand on her chest.]

I'm Lumina. Just Lumina.

[Such an innocently sly smile.]

[Park - Audio (for now)]

[Troy watches from the top of the clocktower, being able to see the almost all of the city from there. He uses his suit's HUD to zoom in on anything that catches his interest, and after minutes of nothing he finally saw someone at the edge of the park. Curious, he increased the zoom to get a better look at this chick. He chuckles to himself to find out it was a robot as sparks flew from the severed arm.

He takes the pocketwatch to send an audio message. He's pretty good with gadgets, so he figured out how it worked pretty easily. He could just fly down there, but nah. He's not even sure if this is a trap or a hostile enemy. Better safe and mysterious than dead and sorry. His visor slides back automatically, revealing a smug grin on his face before he speaks up to the pocketwatch]

If you're a female of average height and build, blue hair, a tasteful futuristic unitard and a severed robotic arm, please look West of where you're currently standing.

[servaturus]

[He's not sure about the name and he's never heard of her before until now but the way she holds the Chaos is pretty much a solid indication that the visions Yeul has been having lately are true. Even worse, now with three beings that require Chaos reside here and that is already a dangerous mix.

He steps toward the alter and lifts his hand. He can't summon the portals anymore to escape but he can still teleport out. Right now, isn't one of those times. He turns around and faces Lumina once again with his face set in a scowl.]

A name that denies the existence of darkness yet you present a contradiction.

[chaoticwhimsy]

[It's probably fortunate Lumina seems to create her own chaos, rather than simply dwelling within it.]

And you would certainly be the expert on contradictions, wouldn't you.

[She tilts her head to the side though, as if she were studying him.]

Or maybe not wouldn't. Will you? Hmm.

You should know me already. Why don't you?

[servaturus]

[For now, he's not even going to think about a future that he already knows will happen. Her questions cause him to pause.]

We have not met nor spoke from the period I had been pulled. You are from a future I had not faced. I have no memory of you only through visions.

[He steps around and toward the front of he pews before he turns to face Lumina.]

With your presence and Chaos through you, I would assume that my deeds had proven successful though I had not saved Yeul entirely.

[Caius knows what this means.]

I am already dead.

[chaoticwhimsy]

[She hadn't thought of that, and for a moment surprise flicks across her face as plain as day, before it's gone. For all the memories she has of time travel, she's never really given it much thought since that would involve time.]

Mm. You have no idea what you managed to do, really. Nobody does. Or did.

[A little smirk then, and she takes a step and vanishes in a swirl of chaos and light, reappearing sitting on the altar at the end of the room.]

But really, dead? You're nothing so boring as that.

[servaturus]

[He smirks a bit and slightly amused that she picked up on it. It's true that he's a lot more than just dead but no one else has to know that.

He turns around to face her and moves his hands to levitate.]

Perhaps it is best that none do. Death is part of the cycle that has been broken since my rebirth. A resurrection into a being transcended into Chaos though that is only the beginning.

Yeul...she has me bound, though I suspect you have this knowledge. Humanity has not yet been stripped from me at this point yet I know what I shall become. It cannot be stopped.

{If there is one thing Lightning is highly attuned to it's being watched. She comes to a halt in the center of the street, one hand on her hip. The strangely bright voice doesn't make her feel any better either.

Who the hell would address her like that?}

I don't see how that's your business.

[Being a person from an entirely different era with entirely different levels of science and technology, the young monk couldn't help but stare at KOS-MOS' appearance in awe and fascination. She... looked human, but she was also having some of an appearance of a highly designed Warforged.

These two things truly fueled his curiosity more and more, and eventually he realized that he had approached this person without even noticing it until she was REALLY close.]

Excuse me... are you lost, or trying to find something?

[chaoticwhimsy]

[Lumina seems to lose interest halfway through his speech, twisting off the altar and dropping down on the far side, peering at the wall behind it.]

[But she twists back around when he stops speaking, hands on her hips again. She had been listening, it seems.]

Well. Maybe? I mean, just because it might happen doesn't mean you have to sound so accepting about it.

[There is a shimmering sphere of chaos and light as Lumina hops off her seat and reappears closer to Lightning, a sly little smirk on her oh so familiar features.]

Oh come on Savior, is that any way to-

[She stops suddenly and frowns, leaning forward slightly as if startled by something she saw in the older woman.]

[servaturus]

[He's used to people by now with their distractions and their false ways in caring. Lumina is no different but he's amused, if only slightly.]

Regardless, it was a choice I made through action.

And has little Yeul told you how badly that's going to work out for everybody?

[She mostly just looks a bit skeptical.]

Especially the two of you?

[He gives a half turn and looks up toward the stained glass windows of the cathedral. He can't really say anything about it other than the impressions he's been given through their meditations but that's all they were, impressions.]

No.

[chaoticwhimsy]

Of course not.

[Lumina strolls around the altar slowly, one arm stretched out so her fingers could brush along the edges.]

They always seem so sad.

[servaturus]

[He lowers his head from the window and turns to face Lumina with a scowl. He has been trying to change that but the process has been very slow.

He wants to tell her that she's wrong but deep down he knows better and says nothing even though his face is very telling.]

[chaoticwhimsy]

[If that scowl bothers her, it doesn`t show at all as she spins to face him again, hands clasped behind her back.]

But hey, if you`re here, that means it can`t happen, right? I mean, i don`t even feel the chaos here! `cept for me, and kind of you...

So this is like a...vacation, right?

[servaturus]

[That's putting it mildly but it's the truth. He hasn't been fully engulfed by the Chaos yet so it's been an interesting time for him and with the realization, he scoffs softly.]

It has though the city is not without its perils.
