WEIRD DEAD VOICE FRIEND

Okay so Sollux is absurdly glad to have Aradia here and alive and openly emotional again. It's just really great to see her like that after the whole awkwardness and distance with her death and her following withdrawal during Sgrub thanks to Equius. The whole part about her being literally alive again really shows, and he missed having her there and friendly and everything.

That said, there's probably got to be some awkwardness after that break, along with the whole part where he's from significantly behind her on the timeline. It hasn't really come up in game but I'd love to explore it more as situations present themselves, because I don't imagine everything is just normal that easily. Part of that might be my fault for not thinking on it too heavily until now, but from an IC perspective it could just as easily be him being glad and like... still adjusting to that? Something.

That said I think one of the reasons they must have bonded at first was that they both get the thing about the voices. Even if hers don't seem so bad - they're already dead, no migraines over it - surely she gets the idea about being pushed around by weird spirits and all that. Besides, he just has a habit of bonding really well with cheery girls, it seems like? Depending who they are. It's kind of hard to put into words. And you can't tell me they didn't bond through the whole process with the ruins and putting Sgrub together, even if they drifted apart with the game itself.

Haha him feeling some awkwardness now that things have settled in is actually super. And Aradia will probably have no idea that he's feeling awkwardness, even though she is also feeling awkwardness XD So getting into situations that force them to actually address the issues will be super. (And probably slightly evil of us. Muahaha.)

Okay replying here because, uh, ???, because. (Though man thank you for that tl;dr which in this case should be terrifically long; did read.)

You brought up some good stuff there too so lemme babble more! Sollux doesn't have all the awkwardness about past romantic feelings that Aradia does, though it's not like he's forgotten about things either. You know, being a kid, weird not-sure-what-shade-of-red feelings, and then mind control happened bluh bluh huge bitch you get the picture.

With Feferi in the picture, that made a focus for flushed things. And he's genuinely happy there! He loves Feferi, she's been there for him a lot, and regardless of Aradia being back it's not going to change. But that doesn't mean that everything went away, necessarily. Like I said he hasn't... gotten around to being awkward yet, for lack of a better way to phrase it, and if her awkwardness over past feelings comes out, it might ping some of his own.

That said I'd love for them to end up having to talk about things more in general/face the time discrepancies/the whole hey you were a ghost frog robot and almost never talked to me/afterlife buddies only happened on one side/etc. All of that! I don't know what will come of it in any which direction, but that's the fun of pushing them together to see what happens.
