May Test Drive

Thinking of apping a character but not sure they'll fit in the city walls?
Have no fear, a meme for you is here.
Directions:
Locations:
1. Train Station: New arrival, or waiting to welcome people? Either way, the train comes in, but you still can't ride it out.
2. Cathedral: Looking for redemption? Just doing a little sight-seeing? Or just getting a little shelter?
3. The Clocktower: You can see the whole city from here!
4. The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.
5. The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.
6. The Coffee Joint: A lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.
7. Le Cafe Anglais: A Parisian-British fusion that's as charming as it sounds and serves the best tea around.
Scenarios
1. Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.
2. Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.
3. Bad weather: You're here because you've gotten rained in. This wasn't your choice, but at least it's dry-- right?
4. Wild card: Got something better in mind? Well screw these prompts, try it out yourself!
Have fun, guys!

So many questions begged to be asked, though one he'd keep to himself was the silent wondering just how long the city would let him keep his boy with him. He's seen too many have dear friends brought in, only to be ripped away weeks later.
When he manages to swallow back the wealth of emotion that he's still dealing with he nods.]
Yes. Where are you, son?
no subject
I'm not sure. There's a large tower to my left.
[He turned the watch, feeling stupid, to show the clocktower before moving it back towards his face. Whether it was a good idea or a bad, revealing his location, it was done. Perhaps somehow he had reversed the curse on his own in this place. Bae could only hope.]
no subject
[He picks the watch up, but can't bear to cut the feed yet, so Bae will be treated to seeing part of the inside of his pawnshop not blocked by his body as he heads for the shop door. Then the view of the street as he heads down it toward the clock tower.
When he finally does close the watch, thus cutting the feed, it's after he has Bae in his sight and is quickly approaching his son. Somewhere in-between his departure from his shop and the arrival before his boy, he's lost his battle with keeping his emotions under check and there's very obvious tear streaks and tears in his eyes as he stares at the young man.]
Bae. I'm...so sorry, son.
no subject
No, Bae didn't advance to his father. If anything, he took a step back. He may not look like the Dark One but that meant nothing where magic was concerned.]
Sorry for what this time? Bringing me here? Or is that your overall greeting for me after everything you've done?
no subject
I didn't bring you here, Bae. I didn't even bring myself here. I'm sorry that I let you go, I was wrong. You were right, son. I was a coward. And I've regretted what I did every single moment since I did it. Ever since you left...I've been looking for you, I thought I lost you forever, but you're here now. I know I can't make up for the past, for the lost time. All I can do, is to ask you to do what you've always done. And that's to be the bigger man...and forgive me. Please, Bae. I don't want to lose you again.
no subject
You made your choice for the both of us. It's going to take much more than sorry for me to even think about wanting to forgive you. You abandoned me for magic!
You won't lose me again because you never gained me back.
no subject
Bae.. please. It took me over three hundred years to find you again. I've learned from my mistakes. I would rather have my son, than any of this magic.
[He opened his eyes to look at his son beseechingly.]
Please, just give me a chance to make amends.
no subject
Tell me of this place. How long have you been here?
[If he truly wanted a chance, he'd change the subject and answer what Bae needed answering. Perhaps if he'd been here long enough, there would be others that could vouch for him.]
no subject
This is Ruby City. While you can leave the city for wilderness beyond, you can't go very far, before you reach a barrier that prevents anyone from leaving. There are creatures, dangerous ones at that, that live in the park, and beyond the city, out on the plains, in the forest and in the mountains.
I've been here for little over two months now.
no subject
And in that time, have you killed anyone? If you still have magic, why do you look like you don't?
[Two separate questions, both as important as each other. And the answers to each would help Bae decide if this conversation would continue.]

[He couldn't keep the incredulity out of his voice as he asked that. But nothing was stronger than the Dark One's curse. That why they had to leave with the bean. Or that had been the deal he'd broken.]
Tell me of this second curse.

[Bae paused, before finally giving something back.]
I was only there for a year. I came here from Neverland.
no subject
[He blinked at that new information, though it made sense. It would explain why his son had still been alive. Though he had to wonder just how he'd escaped back to the Land without Magic from Neverland.]
How...how did you get there?
no subject
I made a new family. The Darlings. They took me in, gave me a place to sleep, clean clothes and good food. When the shadow came, I didn't want their family torn apart by magic like mine had been. I willingly went with it to save the other boys.
no subject
That was a brave thing for you to do for them.
no subject
[He paused, thinking about what he learnt about his mother from Hook.]
Turns out it helped uncover more of your lies. About Mama.
no subject
[Not entirely sorry unfortunately that he killed her, but that was a secret he'd keep to his grave, whenever he finally went to it. The issue does bring one other thing to light however.]
You've met Hook, haven't you?
no subject
Abandoning me was one thing. But did you really have to kill her?
no subject
[He manages to keep his voice level with considerable effort, as well as keeping himself from snarling the words, though the heat of the emotion behind the subject at hand does darken his eyes and make his accent stand out more than usual.]
no subject
[Bae's voice was also slightly raised but he didn't want to goad his father into anything. He was done with the conversation. Turning on his heel, he started to walk away without even bothering to wait for an answer. He might be stuck here, but that didn't mean he had to talk to the man any longer than he wanted to.]
no subject
Should you need anything, anything at all, you can call me. I'll answer. No matter the hour.
