May Test Drive

Thinking of apping a character but not sure they'll fit in the city walls?
Have no fear, a meme for you is here.
Directions:
Locations:
1. Train Station: New arrival, or waiting to welcome people? Either way, the train comes in, but you still can't ride it out.
2. Cathedral: Looking for redemption? Just doing a little sight-seeing? Or just getting a little shelter?
3. The Clocktower: You can see the whole city from here!
4. The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.
5. The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.
6. The Coffee Joint: A lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.
7. Le Cafe Anglais: A Parisian-British fusion that's as charming as it sounds and serves the best tea around.
Scenarios
1. Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.
2. Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.
3. Bad weather: You're here because you've gotten rained in. This wasn't your choice, but at least it's dry-- right?
4. Wild card: Got something better in mind? Well screw these prompts, try it out yourself!
Have fun, guys!

[Worrying doesn't even begin to cover it any longer. He's outright panicking as she launches into a speech over what has happened during her last couple of months.
Only one part of this sounds familiar, so he is holding on to that for dear life, all of his confusion visible on his face. It doesn't even bother him that she hits him - he deserved that from her perspective.]
I didn't! Not yet. I'm from ... The last thing I remember before getting here is you and me, in my time stream on Trenzalore. We saw my former self, the old man, the one I wanted to forget and then I am suddenly on the train to this place. That was nine months ago, Clara. I am not being weird.
no subject
[She gives herself a moment to breathe in and out, focusing on what he's said and tries to make sense of it. Why is everything so confusing and chaotic when it comes to the Doctor? She'd like for things to just be calm and nice for once.]
Isn't it obvious what's going on here?
[She smiles, more for his sake than hers. It does serve to make her feel less skittish about what's going on, at least.]
You've said it yourself, time and time again. Timey wimey nonsense, that's all this is. You're from an earlier point in time than I am. I leapt into your timestream a while ago.
no subject
Always, huh? Weird is good, though, weird is not boring.
[He returns the smile, giving her head a light quick pet.]
Actually, no. If we were in our universe then yes, maybe, that'd be what's going on. But we aren't, Clara, so it's not.
This place is ... [He pauses as he looks for the right word.] special. It's possible to meet people who are dead back home here. [Like River.] And that's not everything. There are people from all sorts of places here. People who are a work of fiction in our world, people who come from an alternate Earth, different from the one we know.
[The way he talks about this all conveys all of his excitement, his sheer joy of being able to meet all of them, to make so many splendid new friends.
But suddenly he sobers up notably, as if he only just recalled that they are not here by choice.]
We have been kidnapped, though. All of us. By our so called hosts. And we still have no idea why.
no subject
Figured the kidnapped part already.
[Her hand drops and she frowns, nose wrinkling up in a mixture of confusion and thought.]
You said the TARDIS is here, though. Can't we just step in and pop off back where we came from? We can't really, actually be stuck here.
[She laughs a little, almost as if she wouldn't believe it if he said it were the case. But then she's left looking up at him with wide eyes, hand reaching out to grab hold of his arm.]
Can we, Doctor?
no subject
I'm sorry, Clara, I really am. We are cut off from the Time Vortex, completely without a connection to it. I'm trying - every day - to fix it but ...
[He doesn't have to say anymore, since she'll know what that means. That it's not something he can do, that no matter how many problems he's solved, how many apparent miracles he's made happen, this is not one of them.]
This is a pocket universe, effectively. Like the one we recued Hila Tracorien from. Only this time we don't have four seconds to escape and it is not collapsing in on us. It's stable which is both weird and good for us.
no subject
[She repeats it, then mouths the word once more, giving a huge pout-frown that's nearly comical.]
Right, so, thank goodness for miracles like stability. If we're gonna be kidnapped and trapped someplace might as well have things be stable.
[All things considered, she thinks she's taking the news incredibly well. Normally, she'd be yelling at him to fix things and demanding that he get them both back home. But this isn't all that bad, since she's well aware that once things are fixed and they're connected to the Time Vortex once again she'll be able to get right back to the exact point she ought to be in.
So she sucks up the fear she's feeling and puts a smile on her face, and holds out her hand for him to take.]
Pocket universe, then. Always lovely. Show me around this one? Good places, bad ones, everything in between. I want to see it all.
no subject
[He attempts his best smirk, taking some of the pressure away like that, the pressure of the situation they both must be feeling and gives her hand a reassuring squeeze.]
Of course you do.
[The smile grows wider and increases in warmth. It's only then that he realizes just how much he has missed Clara - her cheek, her enthusiasm, the feel of her hand in his and so much more - and just how grateful he is to whoever is responsible for bringing her back to him, no matter the reason.]
Right, so ... where do you want to start? There are loads of people at the TARDIS you just have to meet!
[A little nervous suddenly, he licks his lips once.]
Just don't be surprised that they will recognize you.
