1. Train Station: New arrival, or waiting to welcome people? Either way, the train comes in, but you still can't ride it out.

2. Cathedral: Looking for redemption? Just doing a little sight-seeing? Or just getting a little shelter?

3. The Clocktower: You can see the whole city from here!

4. The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.

5. The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.

6. The Coffee Joint: A lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.

7. Le Cafe Anglais: A Parisian-British fusion that's as charming as it sounds and serves the best tea around.


Scenarios

1. Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.

2. Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.

3. Bad weather: You're here because you've gotten rained in. This wasn't your choice, but at least it's dry-- right?

[ And there's the realisation again because oh, of course. Oh, but he's thick.

Then follows an all-suffering expression because why, universe? W h y? ]

Yes, again.

[The expression on his face is one of sympathy though. He really has run into himself an awful lot of times, and while he gets along with himselves well enough this time, it's still not always the easiest of thing.]

But if it's any sort of comfort, I don't think it's the Time Lords doing this. This time, at the very least.

I think that worries me more, actually. Although, since the universe doesn't seem to be collapsing in on itself yet, maybe it'll be all right.

Alright for now, anyway. There's still the part where none of us have managed to leave just yet, but we're starting to have some of the answers we might need.

I think. It's not always easy to tell, here.

And what are those answers?

For a start, it seems to be some sort of pocket of dimension. Other than that, no one's really seen the people in charge of making of it. There are ... something like people who seem to be more in charge, but no one really knows if they're the ones who made the place. They certainly aren't the original overseers of this place, if that's even an accurate word.

Then who were? Do we know that?

I'm... afraid I haven't figured out who to ask about that, yet. I do have the names of the people in charge now, if that's any consolation?

Who are they, then?

The one who's been known to show up most often is called Temper. The others are Chassie, Chari, Gene, Dil, Tim, and... Atien, I think it was. I have some notes on them back at the TARDIS, if you'd be interested.

The TARDIS is here too? [ Although. ] Out of commission, I take it, since you haven't left.

Unfortunately, yes. She can move in space - within the city - but not in time. It's as if the Time Vortex isn't even present. Or not in any way that the old girl can recognize, if it is.

That's possible? It doesn't even exist, strictly speaking, so how can it not be present?

Deep frown. He supposes it can be possible for it not to be present too, in that case ... ]

It's that or someone's managing to... block her access to it? And I wouldn't have thought that would even be possible, much less possible for so long.
