CR/Plotting/Handwaving Meme

Time for another of these! You all know what to do by now, and we all love some good CR, don't we? You can either ask for/offer CR you'd like to play out... Or you can discuss what may or may not already have happened!

INSTRUCTIONS

♥ Post with your characters, one per comment or a catch-all. If you have any CR in particular you'd like to rally, mention it here!

♣ Go around to other characters and discuss ways your characters may have interacted in handwaved settings. This could be casual meetings at the pub, patrols they may have gone on together, hikes and explorations, or just whatever strikes your fancy!

♦ Come up with some backstory for friendships that might not have gotten played out as fully as you'd have liked. These guys are trapped on a floating island together, 24/7... You know they bump into each other! New CR is highly encouraged - you never know what might happen.

CHARACTER(S): Sephiroth
CURRENTLY:
-Sephiroth will be back to patrolling the skies, rather than the streets, tomorrow as his telekinesis-anul punishment for killing Zack will be over. Expect the usual one-winged shape in the sky from time to time. Tifa is still missing, though he's so not-done with her yet (pending Matt's return from hiatus by 12th June) though am fully-expecting a Cloud-fight of some degree in the aftermath.

-He has attended the blood drive for taking enough of a sample of his blood for testing/scanning purposes, and to make sure that he's refused entry next time so there won't be any more sick vampires stemming from it. Though, his attention will be elsewhere anyway, once it comes around again.

-Upcoming Cast-plot. Once Tifa is retrieved all will be in place for Yuna (with the help of others?) to attempt to Send Sephiroth. Dates & Details are still TBC for it, except for the idea that it will probably happen in Apartment Bldg #2 since Yuna keeps squatting after Barret left, but the idea is that it irritates at the glue that keeps Sephiroth together and threatens the stability of the core of his being (very important considering this is a large part what keeps his consciousness in his present form) - so he flees the area. What follows is a saving-attempt-by-Yeul-going-wrong, (which I will probably take a two week hiatus in the middle of, while Sephiroth is mostly unable to interact, as I'm feeling a strong need to refresh currently) (more details here)

-Other than the above, Sephiroth in general spends a great deal of his time between reading, patrolling and training and not a lot else and if anything the spotlight that's been cast on him recently has done nothing but irritate. Inevitable as it might be, it's hardly as if Sephiroth has moved to do anything majorly detrimental to the quality of Life in the City as a whole. As a result, he'll be probably less forthcoming with information about himself, to anyone, for a while.

CR YOU'D LIKE: You were all warned about him, being the psycho that he is and Tifa's retrieval is only going to make this negative train of CR continue. There is also Grimmjow who wants to pick a right with him. Negative CR is what you get from him mostly but some more neutral-based CR wouldn't go amiss. Only problem is getting over the problem that is his ego.

I am amused at how Gold & Seph's CR is currently, I mean he doesn't really see the man negatively like others do, he's more on the fence between Negative & Positive so to speak. The only thing that would likely gain his ire/a negative response from him toward Sephiroth currently would be if Seph were to cause unprovoked (by them) harm to Alice, Jane or Xion.

So I guess currently, Gold is more of a neutral CR, given he doesn't really care what Sephiroth does in the city, so long as it doesn't threaten him and it doesn't threaten the trio of ladies he's taken under his wing.

I'd love to explore that more over time if you'd like to.

Naturally. Sephiroth is sitting on the start of a rather long, sort-of plot arc currently but there might well be a possibility in which he ends up needing Gold's help.

Can't say how, when or what exactly, but could be something for the future!

Though- I can't say if he ever learned Gold is helping Elena with her stigma, if that would be something that might aggravate his nerves. To Sephiroth, Elena deserves all of it.

Yes, I like the thought of Gold helping Sephiroth out (and possibly watching the rest of the city going WTF Gold?! when that's learned about. He's an opportunist definitely, the city will eventually find this out.)

Heh, amusingly to say he's doing that more out of curiosity than any other altruistic motives. He might eventually think more of Elena over time, but currently she's just a person he's got a vested interest in thanks to how much she knows, how willing she is to share the knowledge and that illness of hers is of an admittedly curious nature. Should she get injured, he likely would just ask how, possibly offer aid if it was nasty enough and that would be the end of it.

End of the day, Sephiroth is using the stigma as a way to remind her never to cross him again and Gold's interfering is getting in the way of that.

Maybe he'll just have to present a better deal, one day.

Fang will be returning near the end of June or so, and when she finds out what she's missed, there will probably be some words and hell to pay. Interested?

Yes, though Sephiroth's state of being will be much different for a while thanks to Yeul. But I'm always interested!

After all she's been through back home, I very much doubt she'll want to start a war, but she'll certainly want to talk to him.

He hardly pulls his punches either. Doesn't really believe in sparring.

I might be evil, but I kind of want Jane and Sephiroth to have a huge argument that might get physical (if not have her get into big trouble and need to run) over her not discussing theories with him anymore.

Think this would be better before or after the attempt to Send him? Because Jane totally knows about this plot too.

Ok, so argument over what? How physical are we talking? The problem with anything that steps over that thin line into violence is he doesn't really know when/how to stop if she's encouraged his rage like that - if she tries to make it out that there isn't any point in killing her he'd likely leave her beaten and bleeding just to make the point.

This would be better before the Sending/L'Cie-crystal thing I think...

Most likely, an argument over how illogical it would be not to keep putting their heads together and working towards the common goal of figuring out how to get out of here. I got that impression that he would be willing to work with her still, out of sheer reasonable logic, and Jane refusing to do that anymore would seem illogical to him.

As for the violence, if it is going to be that intense, maybe we should just keep the argument over the network and to just words. Possibly an accidental post?

It might seem illogical to him indeed, especially since she clearly knows more than he does and he deserves to know it all!

As to whether he'd argue about it verbally...not so much? I see it only going so far before he makes a mental note/turns off to her. Of course that won't stop him from going after what he wants (ie. any info she might have that he wants) but there are other ways to achieve this end....

Such as compromising/inflicting misery on others in the City that she cares about, so that she -will- cooperate?

But we could have a short disagreement that ends up being accidentally leaked perhaps?

Oh, that would be brilliant. I personally love blackmail plots, and that does seem like something he would do. And of course, because it has to do with friends and loved ones, she will bend pretty easily.

Having it and/or the minor disagreement leak out onto the network would be awesome! That is a wonderful idea!

After all, he knows more now that she is tight with Regulus and that could easily be used against her. Maybe we should set some things up for him to learn of others' that are vulnerable, that she knows -- more leverage?

I saw that Jane has put her foot forward some with regards to maybe!approaching Sephiroth again - am I right in thinking this might be the best stage for that disagreement we might want....which could be accidentally leaked onto the network...and then cut off at the peak....

...and Jane could actually be fine? (If a little fuming cos what-is-dealing with Sephiroth?)

Yes, Regulus could certainly be used against her, or the threat that he might be hurt. Technically, anyone she is close to or friends with could be used as leverage against her (and there are a lot of them), no matter if they are weak or not, because she would protest greatly at the thought of her actions or in-actions putting them in danger. She knows more about what he is capable and really would not want to risk that if she could help it.

But yes, she has been considering that, because he is intelligent, and since she is not wholly on bad terms with him, she will try to use that, especially in recent developments with Tifa's kidnapping. We could use that as a launch pad!

And yes, how does one deal or make a deal with Sephiroth? He's worse than Mr. Gold on a bad day.

That sounds like a go then! We could do the usual private-call then Action thread then when we get to the part of the argument we want leaked, maybe AIM it out first for leaking purposes? Idek how you'd like to tackle it!

I know we need to get to an end of that last Library thread soon as well! Damn they could talk about theories forever!

Making a deal with Sephiroth? Is like trading parts of your soul. For many it results in losing humanity completely LOL.

But that sounds like a good thing; this is totally repetitive, but I pinged you in plurk about Steve being a silent witness to this since he doesn't like the idea of Jane talking to Sephiroth alone. You know, since he be crazy. Since he'll be silent, we could still AIM it out without anything else being affected.

They really could... We could handwave it if you want to drop it?
