[The teenager smirks. Look at what he found.]

Well look at you, crawling out of the woodwork all over these days, aren't you? Lucky for you I'm not busy, so I guess I've got a little time to play with you.

[That smirk turns positively vicious as he twirls his gun idly.]

Well, what are you waiting for?

*He can't understand a word of this, but he knows a threat when he sees it. He stands up on two legs, baring his fangs and flaring his wings even as his tail tucks between his legs and he backs away, glancing around for a way to escape. Not enough wind in this alley to fly and he hasn't mastered magic well enough to use that for a boost. And he can't climb fast enough to escape...maybe he can negotiate? Telepathically, he reaches out to try to tap into the other demon's language center to at least be able to communicate with him.*

You don't want to eat me...

[Briefly his eyes widen in surprise, he hasn't really heard any demons speak to him in his mind before (yet). Can't say that he likes it too much. The surprise is quickly masked behind a fierce glare, eyes narrowed and his own teeth bared in a near-snarl.]

Nice trick, but I'm not buying it. Eat you? You've got to be kidding.

[Jane sighs and shakes her head. He's still a child, and obviously has no memories. How can she hate someone who has no idea what they will be, and even then, has no control over the said events that will transform them?]

[A pair of big golden eyes blink up at Damian from underneath a mess of wavy dark hair. Their owner has not been so lucky as Damian. He has no one to trade clothes with and the best he has been able to find are still too big for him. Still, it's better than his usual armor. No child should be wearing armor like that...

An adult probably shouldn't ether, but that is a concern for later. Who knows how long he is going to be like this?]

[Diarmuid holds out a hand toward the boy, sleeve falling over his hand to hide it. He makes a small sound of annoyance, before pushing it back again.]

[Making a break for it, huh? It doesn't do much good, as Dante promptly jump kicks off the wall to land on the fire escape ledge with the little demon. You might be able to fly, but Dante's quick on his feet. Keep running, that just makes the hunt more fun.]

Chronos? Never heard of him. Sounds like a loser if you ask me, especially with such a cowardly little minion.

[He pokes vaguely at Alastor with his gun, finger not even on the trigger anymore. Honestly you're pathetic and he almost feels bad picking at you. But a demon's a demon, and he's a devil hunter. It's nothing personal, except yes it is.]

So you're, what, picking up the flowers for his banquet? Getting a father's day card? Gonna get him a nice tie, maybe?

[Dante pulls back anyway, not feeling particularly like dealing with cat scratches on his gloves, thank you very much. You're not even worth his time, runt. He just kind of gives the demon a flat look, propping his gun up on his shoulder.]

[ He almost trips in surprise, but swiftly corrects his footing. Christ, he is small. Smaller even than Damian is, normally. When Diarmuid holds out a hand to him, he crosses the rooftop to stand next to the chimney, squinting down at the smaller version of his mentor with interest. ]

You definitely shrank. Do you still have your powers, or did you climb up here?

[Okaaayy... he's seen demons back down, even whimper, but this one looks like he's about to have a full on panic attack. That's new, and kind of surprising, what the hell?

Oh, and then he moves again, but this time Dante just stays put, regarding him with a disinterested sort of expression. Suddenly he really can't bring himself to kill this one, even though he knows he should. A demon's a demon, right?]

Didn't I already tell you I wasn't going to eat you?
