[The words slip out before Diarmuid can stop himself and he looks down, slightly embarrassed. He covers his embarrassment by reaching for the door knob and turning the handle.]

Now the door is open. We must escape!

[Wait...weren't they going to go help people? What is this escaping?]

I am honored to be your hero.

[Even though this is a hackneyed phrase that she had repeated all too many times to the peasants she has aided, this time, she actually means it.]

...And as a hero, I will defend you as you escape the...whatever.

[She's a little confused by this as she looks up at Diarmuid.]

Don't worry! I will fight too, but it will be good to have you watching my back!

[Though, if he can even summon his weapons at this point is questionable.]

Come on! Follow me! We are on a quest to find the blue fairy box so that those inside can grant us the power to protect everyone!

[Oh dear...he just might mean the TARDIS... At this point, it might be better to play along, Mordred. He's having fun. What can it hurt?]

What is this fairy box? I have never heard of it.

[She gives him a skeptical look. She has to wonder if he's going a little bit cuckoo now that he's a kid.]

[Diarmuid gives he a bit of a disappointed look.]

It's a place where the fairies live, of course! I know the TARDIS isn't really a fairy box, but we're playing, and we don't get to play much. It can't hurt to play for once, right?

[She cocks her head curiously.]

I guess not, but I have never played...

Never? Then we have to fix that!

[Diarmuid reaches out to take her hand and gives it a light pull.]

Come on. Come play with me. Lets hunt for the fairy box! It will be fun!

A-alright.

[She blushes.]

But...I don't think I'll be very good...

[Diarmuid gives his head a hard shake.]

There is no being bad at having fun. You just do it. Try not to worry, okay?

[He gives her a comforting smile and then points down the street.]

Now we begin the great quest for the fairy box! Let no one stand in our way!

[chavalry]

[She nods and smiles.]

That's right! We're the bravest knights ever! Nobody can beat us!

[She would brandish her sword, but she figures it will be too large for her.]

Indeed! The very bravest!

[Diarmuid's weapons would also be too large for him, but he feels like they need something. The boy looks around and as he does, his eyes land on a pair of sticks near where they are standing. For a moment, he dashes away from Mordred, only to return and hold out the longest stick to her.]

Your weapon! We must be prepared!

[chavalry]

Thank you for the weapons, Sir Lancer.

[She looks at the two sticks.]

But I think the Lancer should carry the longer weapon, shouldn't he?

He should, if he is being a Lancer!

[Diarmuid holds the stick out in front of him like it's a sword, not a spear.]

But I'm not going to be a Lancer today! I'm going to be a Saber. Just like the person who saved me!
