Directions

• Body Swap: Holy shit. You're looking at yourself like you're looking in a mirror. The only problem is, when you're looking down at your own hands... you're in someone else's body.


• Gender Swap: Well, this is new; you're now no longer in the right body, but it's still yours. Were you always a girl? You sure weren't yesterday. Of course, this is probably another one of the city's tricks; no point in getting all up in arms about it, is there?


• Age Swap: Are you starting to see a pattern here? Now you're younger-- or older-- than you were a little while ago. Who're you going to bug about your height now?


• Canon Swap: Your entire history is different now. Suddenly, you're a homestuck. Or maybe you're an elf. Or perhaps you're not even switching canons with the person you're threading with. What's the damage?


• Power Swap:...Like the one above, but with powers instead of canons.

[Eren's shoulder is apparently not high enough, and Davechick makes his way up past Eren's ear to find a better seat atop his head.]

He's a superhero. He wears a kepe en talks real funny like this [he says, in a toddler's attempt at the Bat's gravelly voice] en he fights bedguys. He's cool. I ken draw you a picture.

[greatrage]

[Eren has to cover his mouth to stop himself from cracking up at that impression. Jesus christ he's too adorable. He uses his other hand to ensure that the little sprite (chick?) doesn't fall and makes it safely to one of his knobbly horns.]

Well he sounds really cool. [could he mean "Batman"? That would make much more sense than "betmen". This is so weird, though. Boyfriend is tiny. He's never really dealt with anyone this young before... ever.] Sure. I can find some paper?

[peepers]

[He wraps his teensy arms securely around Eren's lizardy horn. If there's anything a baby Dave knows how to do, it's cling.]

'Key. En a pen.

[greatrage]

Alright. No problem.

[except it is kind of a problem. One of the things Eren was going to ask Dave was, well... how to move. Should he.. slither? Or float? Or... what... he has no idea.

He kind of flails a little in an attempt to get moving]

[peepers]

After a moment, Davesprite leans over Eren's forehead to look at him.]

You're not very fest, ere you.

[greatrage]

Aha... no. Not really. I'm uh... new to this. Sprite thing.

[peepers]

[He scoots off Eren's head and floats in front of his face.]

But you got wings. Nobody teached you how to fly?

[greatrage]

No... I can kind of float, but... I'm not sure how to move once I get to floating. [sheepish! And he glows a bit in his cheeks]

[peepers]

Do it like me.

[He turns, stretches his arms forward, and flaps his wings. He achieves a speed of about one inch per second. After demonstrating for a second, he turns again to look at Eren.]

See?

[greatrage]

[.... that is so adorable that Eren thinks he might just squeal. He almost does. But he stops himself using his hands. Oh no. Precious.]

So uh... like this?

[he floats, then flaps his wings and manages to move a few feet] It worked!

[peepers]

Uh-huh.

[He's so impressed. Not really.]

Now just keep doing thet until you get to the plece where you're going.

[greatrage]

[He carefully grabs Dave by one of his tiny wings and places him carefully back on his head] You hush. I don't need your sass.

[ok. What was he doing?

Right. Paper. Pen. He moves mostly by flapping his wings. At least he seems to be getting the hang of it, even if he looks like a total moron]

[peepers]

Oof.

[He resettles himself and hangs onto Eren's horn, playing with a couple strands of his hair with his free hand. After a short moment of obediently keeping quiet, he crawls forward again.]

Do you like green?

[greatrage]

[Eren finally makes his way over to a drawer that looks like it might have paper and pen in it. He opens it up and rifles around]

Huh? Uh... well. It's a nice color. I guess I should get used to it, since I'm green all over now.
