1. Train Station: New arrival, or waiting to welcome people? Either way, the train comes in, but you still can't ride it out.

2. Cathedral: Looking for redemption? Just doing a little sight-seeing? Or just getting a little shelter?

3. The Clocktower: You can see the whole city from here!

4. The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.

5. The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.

6. The Coffee Joint: A lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.

7. Le Cafe Anglais: A Parisian-British fusion that's as charming as it sounds and serves the best tea around.


Scenarios

1. Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.

2. Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.

3. Bad weather: You're here because you've gotten rained in. This wasn't your choice, but at least it's dry-- right?

[A cursory look at the stack in her arms let her know that Yang had chosen based on covers. Blake smiled a little over her book, lowering it slightly]

I should be asking you the same questions.

[alittlebitfiery]

[Yang just smirked and flipped over the first book she was holding.]

I am reading...a 'treatise on classical wartime psychology'?...hrm. [It had a really awesome picture of cavalry warfare on the front. Yang sighs and tosses it onto an empty chair, grabbing the next one, which had a bunch of cartoon animals on it.]

Or maybe I'm reading...'The Corruption of Childhood'...yeah, no. [Toss. and now, the last book, which has a picture of a SUPERNOVA on it.] This one is...a chemistry textbook.

[She groans and tosses it with the others, then grins sheepishly at Blake.]

Well, my afternoon just got freed up! What are you reading?

[Somehow, she wasn't surprised. Blake let the small smile linger on her lips as she put her book down]

A book on old fairy tails. I was reading one about a mermaid. I think you might like it.

Why? [She twisted around on the chair so she was sitting in it sideways, folding her legs in front of her.]

Is it full of action and adventure?

[Yang's grin is a tad self-depreciating, easily willing to make fun of herself, it seems.]

It's a little gruesome. [Blake looked through the pages, stopping at one] Though this one about a girl and three bears would really be more for you.

[Yes, she's teasing you]

Bears?! [Yang frowns, and then leans forward to try and snatch the book away.]

Lemmie see.

[And it's handed over with no problem, story opened up to Goldilocks and the Three Bears.]

[Yang's just way to used to trying to get books away from Ruby, so she's a tad startled by how easy that was...but she leans back and flips through the story.]

Well, I'm liking the girl's hair, at least...

[Blake leaned in, smirking] Reminds me of somebody's hair.

My hair is unique thank you. [Yang grins.] But I'll admit there are some similarities...

[It's hard to keep from outright smiling in the face of such sunniness.]

And the way she goes where she doesn't belong certainly sounds like a certain blonde I know.

Yes, but unlike 'a certain blonde you know' who is completely awesome, this blonde- [She taps the page.] Clearly has no idea how to take care of herself.

[That made Blake laugh a little, quietly] That's true.

Plus, it was so obviously a trap. A cottage in the middle of the woods, full of warm foods and nice beds?

[Yang just sighs as if it's a true tragedy.]

Some kids are just destined to get eaten.

Isn't that why we're becoming Huntresses? So kids won't get eaten by bears setting traps like that?

...Yeah, I guess. But I'm pretty sure the Grimm aren't smart enough to build house traps. And the monsters here are boring most of the time.

[Yes, Yang is complaining about boring monsters.]

But yeah! We totally would've saved that dumb girl from getting eaten.

[Yang wasn't wrong about the Grimm, as far as they've seen. The second part-]

The monsters here aren't Grimm?

Nope. Well, the wargs sort of look like grimm? But most of the stuff out there is just big, vicious wild animals.

Some of them can even talk!

That sounds... interesting. [And certainly something Yang would enjoy beating up on. Well, it depended on the ones that talked.]

Hey, sometimes! The thing that sucks is that the really fun monsters are days away and there's no airships or anything here. So if you want to fight something challenging it's basically a week long camping trip.

[Yang wasn't all that enamored with camping, really...]

But hey, you're here now! [She grins at Blake.] So we'll have to go see them!

We're going camping. [Her voice is dry] So we can look for monsters.

[alittlebitfiery]

What? You mean you don't want to go on a fabulous monster hunt safari with me, Blake?

[Yang manages her best heartbroken expression.]

We're going on a week long camping trip where you're going to get your hair dirty without a chance to get it really clean to look for monsters.

[alittlebitfiery]

[Okay, that was a point, but-] I've kind of gotten a little used to having to make some...small...concessions when it comes to thinks like that. There's no electricity, which makes maintaining my hair a liiiittle bit harder.

But I've already done it once and I survived! And got a pet fire lizard out of it!
