2. Cathedral: Looking for redemption? Just doing a little sight-seeing? Or just getting a little shelter?

3. The Clocktower: You can see the whole city from here!

4. The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.

5. The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.

6. The Coffee Joint: A lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.

7. Le Cafe Anglais: A Parisian-British fusion that's as charming as it sounds and serves the best tea around.


Scenarios

1. Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.

2. Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.

[hierophantes]

[Where would one find a priest but in and around a cathedral? That odd sense of things being Not Quite Right was in full force today; though he kept to himself and very rarely spoke to anyone, Kirei seemed to have an odd habit of just staring at people. It seemed almost like he was sizing the population up and evaluating them as a threat, or just taking careful inventory of what kind of people were in the city.]

[Passerby outide might have even noticed the usual creepy disembodied organ music had changed slightly today.]

[ hey, kirei

don't mind the creepy lineface girl just kind of creepin' around your church, looking like she's worried she's going to be attacked at any minute.

This place kind of reminds of the Otherworld and that's comforting and worrying in equal measure. Big creepy buildings with weird architecture are right up her alley, but she's still half-expecting Dead Master to come out of nowhere any second and start trying to slice her up. ]

[well okay you're weird looking as hell.]

[Which is to say, Kirei would just be watching her extra carefully while trying to determine just what the hell he was actually looking at.]

She's still creeping around, still on edge and doesn't visibly relax as she looks around -- if anything she just gets more tense, like the anticipation of an attack is just riling her up even more.

She doesn't start when she spots Kirei, but she does come to a halt and there's a barely perceptible narrowing of her eyes as she meets his gaze.

... staring contest go. ]

[THIS IS THE MOST CHARISMATIC CONVERSATION EVER HELD.]

[ can't you just smell the charisma in the room ]

... what is this place?

It feels different from the other buildings.

[hierophantes]

You've never seen a cathedral before?

[coelestis]

Ca-the-dral.

[ she sounds it out like a child encountering an unfamiliar word and tilts her head. ]

That's what this is? A cathedreal.

[ then she frowns, catching her pronunciation and repeats herself, imitating him more closely this time. ]

Cathedral.

I've never seen one.

[hierophantes]

Do they simply not exist wherever you came here from? That seems...unusual.

[coelestis]

No.

[ her tone is passive as she replies and she turns away from him again, continuing to wander as she speaks. ]

None of the buildings in this place exist in my world.

Cities don't exist.

[provenworth]

[The cathedral is one of Elena's haunts. Partially because she likes the quiet and solace the building provided, but partially because it was the haunt of one of the hosts. And Elena likes to keep tabs on those particular individuals.

She doesn't expect to hear the organ going, and playing a tune she's not heard played there before. Her entrance is slow, hands deep in pockets, as she approaches the organ and its player. Who, as she came closer, took on a very familiar shape.]

F-Father Kotomine?

[hierophantes]

...hm?

[He looked up without the slightest trace of recognition; if any expression was on his face at all, it was probably shades of confusion.]

Yes, what is it?

Ah...

[It takes her a second to realign thoughts in her head. To remember that the odds of memories returning with persons who had previously been in the city were incredibly low. ]

My apologies, I didn't mean to interrupt. I didn't expect to find you here.

[hierophantes]

Have we met before? [Kirei stood up and regarded Elena with what must have passed for curiosity.] I can't say that I recognize you.
