Potential Plotty Things!
Okay, here we go!
In the last CR meme I put some ideas forwards and I got a few bites, so I'm going to lay everything out in a bit more detail here and see if I can't start to organise a few things.
Repairing the Observatory
This is the thing that got the most pings, so here is where I'll begin.
Twilight is very interested in that place, since she and Ib have been stargazing and mapping things out on charts. Getting the observatory up and running to its full potential is mostly an act to facilitate a hobby, but who know what they might find up there. Ruby City seems to be in a world of its own yet it has stars, a moon and its own weather. Maybe there's something to that?
However, she's not going to be able to do this by herself! It requires equipment that she can't use and knowledge that she (by reluctant admission) does not have. Twilight would very much like to repair the place, but she doesn't know exactly how, and even if she could read enough books to learn, she'll need other people to help her do it.
As a secondary part to this, once the repairs are completed and the observatory is up and running again, is the actual task of mapping the sky. This is something that will have to be taken as it comes, as I'm not.. entirely sure how I'm going to do it yet.
Repairing the Greenhouses/Apothecary
The second thing I'm going to get one of my guys interested in is the dilapidated greenhouses in the middle of the city, attached to a perhaps equally dilapidated apothecary store. Remus Lupin is going to be the one poking around with this, since he has an IC reason to want to given that Lily Evans is going to be starting up a potions store and it makes much more sense to grow things in the city than always be poking around the woods looking for what they might need (with no guarantee to find it).
Remus is an accomplished wizard, but as above, he's not going to be able to do this all by himself. The greenhouses need a lot of work and surely he's not the only person who'd like to see them fixed up and functioning, especially with the occasionally sporadic stock in the general store.
Resuming the Blood Drives
The blood drives were a regular thing run at the clinic by Lamont, but even though he's sadly gone from the city, that doesn't mean they have to stop! Remus, with Aqua, is going to start running them again with the same arrangement with the city's vampire population as before. It's going to need a few volunteers, both to help out with the donations and to actually donate =O
These will be run every six weeks, events willing, with a network post linking to an open mingle-style log!
Independent Electricity Supply
Something that might take a bit longer but could be equally fun is the plan for an independent electricity supply that Archie had been proposing before leaving the city. She left all of her notes behind and sufficient explanation to carry on the work, so why not pick it up?
I know from IC conversations and general noseying around that Dirk Strider will definitely not be the only person interested in this! Even without people around who might be able to store electrical power for later use by magical means, there's nothing to say that it can't be done. If there's enough interest going for this I'll try to put together some kind of progression for how it can all go down, but Dirk will definitely be asking if anyone wants to pull together and do something about it.
There's a Nosey AI in the City
Bonus Round! Dirk happens to be in possession of a fully actualised artificial intelligence named Hal. Now, Hal is usually well-behaved (they have an agreement), but he also has the ability to hack into locked conversations.
If there's anything that you think you might like your character to get into hot water over, or perhaps just be harassed by a nosey AI using bright red courier text, please do let me know and I can certainly facilitate it.

He'll probably trail after Twilight if he has nothing else to do for that day.
Maurice, being so thankful for them, would like to do anything he can to help the blood drives go smoothly though he can't do anything in daylight.

Shijima is bored enough that she'll probably help out with the greenhouse, even if her main interest is sleeping in it as a cat. She is going to live in there, okay. Anyone that tries to remove her will get terrible scratches.
