SCAVENGER HUNT DEADLINE
The heat is on!
The festival is drawing to a close, which means your teams should be getting ready to check in with the items they've collected, in an attempt to collect some prizes! If you're stumped on any of the clues (even if you haven't played out your character trying to figure out what's going on with their lists), the ghost manning the booth is willing to offer up to 5 hints per team. We do recommend that you look very closely at the event descriptions for the main event, the treat booths, and the midway for some of the photo opportunities!
What does that mean for you? That means that sometime before midnight C.S.T. you need to make an attempt to tag into your check-in post under the scavenger hunt main log. Whether this check in is simply you telling us that you're working with your teammates to write up a description of how the items were obtained or an actual attempt at loot check in, it doesn't matter - as long as you let us know within the next 8 hours that your team is getting close to presenting the scavenger hunt ghost with their lootsack of stuff. We're willing to be a little bit flexible - we know everyone is on different schedules, and we want everyone to have a chance to do some stuff!
After check in, you have 72 hours to get your stuff together! You can try to turn in your loot-sack as many times as you like until midnight on Wednesday. Just a reminder: 15 items earns you a basic prize, 20 items earns you a basic prize and an intermediate prize, and 25 items earns you a grand prize, an intermediate prize, and a basic prize.
It is assumed that all of this actually happened today in-game! Keep that in mind when you're doing your tags over the next week.
What qualifies for a win? If you are handwaving, we are looking for a creative description of your characters working together to collect items. Feel free to skim some of the played-out threads in the midway to get an idea of how much playing they would've had to do to earn some of the items! The only thing you cannot handwave is collection of the grand prizes - which means you're going to have to find another way to get some dead flowers. Sorry!
For everyone who did some playing, we would like links to the threads where you played out getting different items, even if the thread is still in progress. You are also welcome to do some handwaving!
Note: We will be trying to respond as swiftly as possible to loot check-in, so if some of your items don't qualify for the list, you can re-attempt to check in to gain a higher prize tier with more items.
Do we get to keep the items we gathered? You sure do! The ghost will return the sack and all the items within it after he's made an inventory of what's been collected.
Prizes will be awarded Friday. We will be answering any other questions in the post below. You can also use this post to plot handwaving with other players.
Good luck!
