Winter is coming to Ruby City, with temperatures dipping below zero degrees celcius for the first time this year. What this means, of course, is that the city residents might start to see a thin layering of frost over the grass and windows in the early mornings, along with thin fog before the sun rises enough to burn it away.
The fog, should one venture out in it, occasionally seems to have a mind of its own, growing thicker as it's walked through. It eddies and forms into ghostly wisps, and one might even fancy that they feel something tugging at their hair clothes should they linger for too long.
City News
The city's unexpected visitors have departed, after so kindly cleaning up the mess they made. Were they unanticipated guests, expected arrivals, or something in between? There's no way to know unless you ask, and even then, would you trust the answer that you got in return? It may not be the last that's seen of Cedric and Monique, but their presence was perhaps more trouble than it was worth, when it comes to maintaining order in a place that already defies so many laws by its very existence.
Uncontested, the forest residents have reclaimed the majority of the path cutting through their forest. What remains is a narrow dirt trail, wide enough for two people to walk abreast without bumping into the trees that line each side, and it would seem that is acceptable.
The number of pumpkins in the general store has levelled out and fallen back into line with the other seasonal fruits and vegetables, with carrots, mushrooms, apples and squashes being amongst those things available. Blackberries and elderberries can also be found growing wild, should anyone think to look. One thing that has made a seasonal appearance is a large stock of fireworks, as well as matches and firelighters. What's made of this supply is up to anyone who gets their hands on it, but the weather on the coming Wednesday is surely pleasant enough to allow for a bit of a gathering.
Finally, The Emporium is once more open for requests, and requests will close on the 23rd.

Current and Upcoming Events
The Halloween event kindly run by our own lovely Misa has wrapped up, but feel free to continue backtagging! The POLL for the November state of play is heavily leaning towards a minor event to fit in better with everyone's busy schedules, and we will certainly keep that in mind.
Our cohort of new NPCs are still being introduced, though by now the majority have made themselves known to varying degrees.
