December Test Drive!

Thinking of apping a character but not sure they'll fit in the city walls?
Have no fear, a meme for you is here.
Directions:
Locations:
1. Train Station: New arrival, or waiting to welcome people? Either way, the train comes in, but you still can't ride it out.
2. Cathedral: Looking for redemption? Just doing a little sight-seeing? Or just getting a little shelter?
3. The Beach: You can almost forget you're trapped, in a place like this...
4. The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.
5. The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.
6. The Coffee Joint: A lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.
7. The Forest: Not a great place to be caught alone, but are you alone?
8. Wildcard: Pick anything from our list!
Scenarios
1. Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.
2. Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.
3. Bad weather: You're here because you've gotten rained in. This wasn't your choice, but at least it's dry-- right?
4. Wild card: Got something better in mind? Well screw these prompts, try it out yourself!
Have fun, guys!

Adachi blinked. Now Yu was all serious. What was up with him? Right now, Adachi felt like he couldn't read him at all. But he wasn't worried. What could affect him here, were nothing mattered? "Sure. Yeah. What is it? I might tell you. If I feel like it."
He'd very quickly lost all advantage in this situation, if he'd had any to begin with. Maybe he should have tried sneaking out, instead.
no subject
He could kind of guess; judging from the fact that he wasn't even bothering trying to be friendly, he was from after being arrested. How much after was the main point, however; that was why he was keeping a steady, determined look on the older man, as if to make certain he wouldn't lie to him.
no subject
"What else? Some dumb brat getting on my case, same as always."
no subject
"Sorry... just wanted to be sure."
no subject
He really wasn't sure what Yu was thinking. But whatever it was, he shouldn't get the idea that Adachi had reformed or liked him or wanted to help him or anything like that. Yes, maybe he was technically helping, but he wasn't some nice guy. He was looking out for himself. That wasn't any different, either.
"So—it doesn't matter when I'm from."
That wasn't entirely true. He had promised to follow the rules, hadn't he? He wouldn't have done that before. "You're not going to give me a problem here, are you?"
no subject
"It would have, if you were from before that time..." Yu replied carefully. "But... other than looking out for you, I don't see a need to interfere."
He trusted him. It was stupid, and he definitely shouldn't have been trusting him with anything, but he still trusted him.
no subject
"Looking out for me? I don't need anyone to look out for me. I'm fine on my own." That was the last thing he needed from anyone, let alone Yu. He was another dumb kid. How was he going to look out for Adachi?
"You've got your priorities all messed up. I'm the bad guy, remember? But good. I get to eat all I want here, and I don't need you ruining it for me." People weren't going to feel so pleased about giving him things if they started thinking of him as some murderer.
no subject
Either way, he was better equipped to deal with the former detective now.
"I guess I should have said I'll watch you for the sake of everyone around you," he replied, though he didn't sound that concerned. He even smiled a little again, privately imagining the fact that he wasn't bothered by his presence was starting to get under Adachi's skin.
He paused his additional response as someone came over to take his order, more than happy to get some hot chocolate and the biggest burger they had to sell.
"Just because you're the 'bad guy', doesn't mean I can't be worried for you," he finally finished.
no subject
Yu was seriously getting on his nerves. Acting like everything was fine. Like they got along or something. Ugh.
"You're not supposed to help the bad guy, dumbass. No one asked you to be worried. What can even happen to me here?" He shrugged. "Go help out some idiot who needs it."
no subject
"Some idiot who needs it?" he echoed, tilting his head curiously. "Okay..."
Yu folded his hands on the table before him, looking more like a therapist than a teenager.
"What can I help you with, Adachi-san?"
no subject
"What." Adachi gave him a look. He didn't like having someone here who could blow his cover. It was already cramping his style.
"I said I don't need anything. I can eat whatever I want, and I can go wherever I want. And don't try to call me the idiot when you're the idiot."
no subject
He took a big bite out of his burger, looking quite happy at the familiar taste hitting his tongue. Yu allowed himself to enjoy the taste before he set it back down, focusing on Adachi again.
"You know..." he began, "I don't expect you to be that open with me. You're not that kind of person. But that doesn't mean I won't stop worrying about you. Despite everything that happened, I still think of you as a friend. You can call me an idiot all you want, but that won't change."
no subject
There. That should make his stance perfectly clear. He took another sip of his beer. He'd be eating, too, if he hadn't eaten already. "And you're right. Why would I be open with you when I don't like you?" Just because they'd hung out a few times... that didn't mean anything, in the end. Yu had his little friends. Adachi wasn't one of them. "Maybe you should worry about yourself."
no subject
He looked down at his burger, before picking it up and taking smaller bites now. He set it down again after a moment, a thoughtful look coming to his face.
"Is anyone else here?"
no subject
It was better that way, anyway! He didn't see why Yu didn't get that. Especially since it was completely obvious.
"Sure, there's lots of people here! Fifty of them or something. Maybe more. Mostly idiots."
That is an estimate based on nothing except Adachi's vague idea of how many people might be in town. He knows that's not what Yu's really asking, but what is he, a font of information all of a sudden? Yu can find out who's here for himself.
no subject
"I meant from home."
no subject
"I don't want to ruin any surprises. Maybe you should find out for yourself. Be self-reliant!"
No, he wasn't so far gone that he'd be the friendly information giver here. Yu could just forget it.
no subject
Yu raised an eyebrow at that; what he being told to be self-reliant by him? An outright grin threatened the corners of his lips, and if he hadn't been half preoccupied with his food, he might have laughed.
"Do you always have to pretend to be stubborn?" he asked instead.
no subject
Adachi was plenty self-reliant! He was all on his own here, and he relied solely on himself to ask other people for food.
He gave Yu a severe look. "I'm not pretending. This is how I am. So deal with it. If you want to hang out with me so much." Stupid kid. Why did he want to spend time with a murderer, anyway?
no subject
"Well... when I find out what happened to the others and situate myself, I'll still invite you over for dinner sometime."
His choice on whether or not he would be too stubborn to accept.
no subject
And of course he was great at using a Persona. He was a smart guy. He didn't need all that practice. He was a natural!
"Don't think you can buy me with food. It's not that easy, you know!" Adachi paused for a moment or two. "Although... I will take the food."
If Yu wanted to make him food for some stupid reason, he wasn't going to object. He knew Yu was a good cook. "These burgers and stuff are fine... but they can't beat real Japanese home cooking." He brightened a bit.
no subject
"I'll be sure to call you over when I settle somewhere," he promised.
no subject
"Yeah I might come over. But maybe not. Don't bet on it."
no subject
"Of course, Adachi-san," he replied, before taking a sip of his hot chocolate.
