  • Choose a location and prompt or wait for someone else to tag.

  • Tag around! Make friends. Don't be afraid to chat OOC while tagging.

    Locations:

    1. Train Station: New arrival, or waiting to welcome people? Either way, the train comes in, but you still can't ride it out.

    2. Cathedral: Looking for redemption? Just doing a little sight-seeing? Or just getting a little shelter?

    3. The Beach: You can almost forget you're trapped, in a place like this...

    4. The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.

    5. The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.

    6. The Coffee Joint: A lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.

    7. The Forest: Not a great place to be caught alone, but are you alone?

    8. Wildcard: Pick anything from our list!

    1. Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.

    2. Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.

    3. Bad weather: You're here because you've gotten rained in. This wasn't your choice, but at least it's dry-- right?

    4. Wild card: Got something better in mind? Well screw these prompts, try it out yourself!

"Oh, a wall fell down, what a huge change." What did that matter? "I'm not talking about architecture." It was more that you couldn't die, you couldn't change anything, and when you went home, you forgot everything. So nothing mattered at all.

Adachi blinked. Now Yu was all serious. What was up with him? Right now, Adachi felt like he couldn't read him at all. But he wasn't worried. What could affect him here, were nothing mattered? "Sure. Yeah. What is it? I might tell you. If I feel like it."

He'd very quickly lost all advantage in this situation, if he'd had any to begin with. Maybe he should have tried sneaking out, instead.

"What was the last thing you remember from home?"

He could kind of guess; judging from the fact that he wasn't even bothering trying to be friendly, he was from after being arrested. How much after was the main point, however; that was why he was keeping a steady, determined look on the older man, as if to make certain he wouldn't lie to him.

    [personal profile] denialism 2014-12-14 04:17 am (UTC)(link)
He gave Yu a look. Oh, right, people came here from different times. He remembered hearing something about that, but he hadn't paid too much attention, honestly. He wasn't that interested in the mysteries of this place or figuring them out. If he'd thought about it, he might have pretended to be from earlier, not necessarily to get anything, but because it would have been funny. Too late for that now.

"What else? Some dumb brat getting on my case, same as always."
    linefacingforever: (Some quiet contemplation.)

    [personal profile] linefacingforever 2014-12-14 04:30 am (UTC)(link)
That was... probably the best answer Yu was going to get out of him, and he visibly relaxed. He could accept that, at least; whether they had made it to the end and saved the world together or not, Adachi was from a point that Yu could at least understand him better than he thought he did back when everything in Inaba started. That was good enough for him.

"Sorry... just wanted to be sure."
    denialism: (xxii.)

    [personal profile] denialism 2014-12-14 04:39 am (UTC)(link)
"Sure of what? I'm not any different, you know."

He really wasn't sure what Yu was thinking. But whatever it was, he shouldn't get the idea that Adachi had reformed or liked him or wanted to help him or anything like that. Yes, maybe he was technically helping, but he wasn't some nice guy. He was looking out for himself. That wasn't any different, either.

    "So—it doesn't matter when I'm from."

That wasn't entirely true. He had promised to follow the rules, hadn't he? He wouldn't have done that before. "You're not going to give me a problem here, are you?"
    linefacingforever: (Oh really...?)

    [personal profile] linefacingforever 2014-12-14 04:55 am (UTC)(link)
"Not any different," hunh? No, that was only partially true. Adachi's attitude hadn't changed much, but that hour of their lives had an impact on him. He just needed to wait and see how that would end up changing him here.

"It would have, if you were from before that time..." Yu replied carefully. "But... other than looking out for you, I don't see a need to interfere."

He trusted him. It was stupid, and he definitely shouldn't have been trusting him with anything, but he still trusted him.
    denialism: (xxiii.)

    [personal profile] denialism 2014-12-14 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
"Right, I'm just the same." He did think maybe he could have done things differently, but that didn't mean he was a different person, and it didn't mean he was a good person. He had the benefit of hindsight.

"Looking out for me? I don't need anyone to look out for me. I'm fine on my own." That was the last thing he needed from anyone, let alone Yu. He was another dumb kid. How was he going to look out for Adachi?

"You've got your priorities all messed up. I'm the bad guy, remember? But good. I get to eat all I want here, and I don't need you ruining it for me." People weren't going to feel so pleased about giving him things if they started thinking of him as some murderer.
linefacingforever: (Proud of all his friends.)

    [personal profile] linefacingforever 2014-12-14 03:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, there it was; that almost bullheaded stubbornness that reminded him a little of Kanji. Amazing how Adachi had a little bit of all of them in him... maybe it was because he was just a different kind of "zero". He'd have to ask Margaret about it if he ever got the chance to see her again.

Either way, he was better equipped to deal with the former detective now.

"I guess I should have said I'll watch you for the sake of everyone around you," he replied, though he didn't sound that concerned. He even smiled a little again, privately imagining the fact that he wasn't bothered by his presence was starting to get under Adachi's skin.

He paused his additional response as someone came over to take his order, more than happy to get some hot chocolate and the biggest burger they had to sell.

"Just because you're the 'bad guy', doesn't mean I can't be worried for you," he finally finished.
    denialism: (xxvi.)

    [personal profile] denialism 2014-12-15 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
"Yeah, got to protect all these do-gooder types from me. Who knows, I might try to kill someone. Not that it would make much difference." Whoever he killed would come right back, so it wasn't even a problem. Not that he wanted to kill someone, but even if he did. It was pointless. And the last thing he needed was to be shut up in prison in two separate worlds.

Yu was seriously getting on his nerves. Acting like everything was fine. Like they got along or something. Ugh.

"You're not supposed to help the bad guy, dumbass. No one asked you to be worried. What can even happen to me here?" He shrugged. "Go help out some idiot who needs it."
linefacingforever: (Yosuke what are you doing?)

    [personal profile] linefacingforever 2014-12-15 01:47 am (UTC)(link)
He knew how death worked in the City; he didn't get to experience it first hand, but he was aware of those that had died and came back. If Adachi ever told him that death did not matter much here, however, he might have actually hit him with the sheath of his sword. No one wanted to experience dying.

"Some idiot who needs it?" he echoed, tilting his head curiously. "Okay..."

Yu folded his hands on the table before him, looking more like a therapist than a teenager.

"What can I help you with, Adachi-san?"
    denialism: (x.)

    [personal profile] denialism 2014-12-15 01:53 am (UTC)(link)
Death didn't matter if you came back! The whole reason it was bad was that you didn't come back. Sure, it would probably hurt, but so what? Big deal. They people who died would eventually forget it when they went home. Nothing mattered here: that was the beginning and end of it.

"What." Adachi gave him a look. He didn't like having someone here who could blow his cover. It was already cramping his style.

"I said I don't need anything. I can eat whatever I want, and I can go wherever I want. And don't try to call me the idiot when you're the idiot."
linefacingforever: (Facing out to the truth.)

    [personal profile] linefacingforever 2014-12-15 02:10 am (UTC)(link)
Poor Adachi; he really didn't realize how well Yu had him pegged, did he? He backed off for now though, especially since his food arrived then. There was no need to make him more agitated than he already was.

He took a big bite out of his burger, looking quite happy at the familiar taste hitting his tongue. Yu allowed himself to enjoy the taste before he set it back down, focusing on Adachi again.

"You know..." he began, "I don't expect you to be that open with me. You're not that kind of person. But that doesn't mean I won't stop worrying about you. Despite everything that happened, I still think of you as a friend. You can call me an idiot all you want, but that won't change."
    denialism: (xxxvii.)

    [personal profile] denialism 2014-12-15 02:20 am (UTC)(link)
"I don't know why you can't get it through that thick head of yours. We're not friends. I don't have any friends or even want any friends, and I don't know exactly what happened that makes you think we could ever possibly be friends. So give that crap a rest."

There. That should make his stance perfectly clear. He took another sip of his beer. He'd be eating, too, if he hadn't eaten already. "And you're right. Why would I be open with you when I don't like you?" Just because they'd hung out a few times... that didn't mean anything, in the end. Yu had his little friends. Adachi wasn't one of them. "Maybe you should worry about yourself."
    linefacingforever: (Oh um... hunh.)

    [personal profile] linefacingforever 2014-12-15 02:39 am (UTC)(link)
"You know me better than that, Adachi-san," Yu replied softly.

He looked down at his burger, before picking it up and taking smaller bites now. He set it down again after a moment, a thoughtful look coming to his face.

    "Is anyone else here?"
    denialism: (lxxiii.)

    [personal profile] denialism 2014-12-15 02:51 am (UTC)(link)
"Hey, I told you. We don't know each other. We're practically strangers. Learn to listen, Yu-kun!"

It was better that way, anyway! He didn't see why Yu didn't get that. Especially since it was completely obvious.

"Sure, there's lots of people here! Fifty of them or something. Maybe more. Mostly idiots."

That is an estimate based on nothing except Adachi's vague idea of how many people might be in town. He knows that's not what Yu's really asking, but what is he, a font of information all of a sudden? Yu can find out who's here for himself.
linefacingforever: (That one guy that says whatever...)

    [personal profile] linefacingforever 2014-12-15 02:55 am (UTC)(link)
Yu gave him a level gaze, making it more than obvious that he would have rolled his eyes at that if he were that kind of person. He shook his head slightly, not even addressing the "strangers" thing; if they were strangers, than he wouldn't be calling him "Yu-kun", but he wasn't going to bring that up.

    "I meant from home."
    denialism: (Default)

    [personal profile] denialism 2014-12-15 05:10 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe he was saying "Yu-kun" sarcastically, did Yu ever think of that? But no, actually Adachi sort of forgot not to. But he still didn't think that they qualified as friends. That was going way too far. It also showed a lack of judgment on Yu's part. Who would be friends with a guy like him?

"I don't want to ruin any surprises. Maybe you should find out for yourself. Be self-reliant!"

No, he wasn't so far gone that he'd be the friendly information giver here. Yu could just forget it.
linefacingforever: (That did not just happen...)

    [personal profile] linefacingforever 2014-12-15 12:05 pm (UTC)(link)
    Keep telling yourself that, Adachi.

Yu raised an eyebrow at that; what he being told to be self-reliant by him? An outright grin threatened the corners of his lips, and if he hadn't been half preoccupied with his food, he might have laughed.

"Do you always have to pretend to be stubborn?" he asked instead.
    denialism: (xxiii.)

    [personal profile] denialism 2014-12-15 03:44 pm (UTC)(link)
    Not. Friends. Ever!

Adachi was plenty self-reliant! He was all on his own here, and he relied solely on himself to ask other people for food.

He gave Yu a severe look. "I'm not pretending. This is how I am. So deal with it. If you want to hang out with me so much." Stupid kid. Why did he want to spend time with a murderer, anyway?
    linefacingforever: (Best when he smiles.)

    [personal profile] linefacingforever 2014-12-15 06:28 pm (UTC)(link)
It was obvious, even though his expression hadn't changed much, that Yu wasn't buying a word he said. It made him wonder if Adachi had gotten to that moment on the top of that tower, where he was so exhausted that he could barely get up, and Adachi took his place. He held himself pretty well for someone that didn't have nearly as much experience using a Persona as the rest of them. Then again... well, Adachi was very intelligent, even if he was the stupidest man alive.

"Well... when I find out what happened to the others and situate myself, I'll still invite you over for dinner sometime."

His choice on whether or not he would be too stubborn to accept.
    denialism: (xxii.)

    [personal profile] denialism 2014-12-16 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
It wasn't his fault that Yu didn't know how to listen. He'd made his position clear. He hadn't gotten to that moment on the tower, but he was already fairly sure that those dumb kids were going to screw up without him. Although he didn't care... he was acting from his own self-interest.

And of course he was great at using a Persona. He was a smart guy. He didn't need all that practice. He was a natural!

"Don't think you can buy me with food. It's not that easy, you know!" Adachi paused for a moment or two. "Although... I will take the food."

If Yu wanted to make him food for some stupid reason, he wasn't going to object. He knew Yu was a good cook. "These burgers and stuff are fine... but they can't beat real Japanese home cooking." He brightened a bit.
linefacingforever: (Proud of all his friends.)

    [personal profile] linefacingforever 2014-12-18 12:45 pm (UTC)(link)
That smile was back on his face, and Adachi would probably call him out on it, but he didn't care. It was nice to know that he still knew the former detective, even in some small way, despite his insistence that he didn't.

"I'll be sure to call you over when I settle somewhere," he promised.
    denialism: (xxiii.)

    [personal profile] denialism 2014-12-19 04:52 pm (UTC)(link)
"Oh, come on. What are you grinning about?" Adachi frowned again. Yu was too much of a know-it-all. Or thought-he-knew-it-all. It was a real pain. "I'm still hungry. That hasn't changed. And prison food is honestly the worst, so I've got to eat as much as I can here to make up for it." Months of bland jail food, it was more torture than any man could take. And he had nothing but more jail food to look forward to.

"Yeah I might come over. But maybe not. Don't bet on it."
linefacingforever: (I am an awesome hero.)

    [personal profile] linefacingforever 2014-12-25 04:03 am (UTC)(link)
Yu pulled his cup up to his mouth, mostly because he was having trouble fighting back the smile that was coming to his face. Like he didn't know Adachi's stomach wouldn't be able to deny that kind of invitation.

"Of course, Adachi-san," he replied, before taking a sip of his hot chocolate.
