Locations

1.TRAIN STATION - The place where everyone gets dumped off at. Your first view of Ruby City, complete with informational posters telling you all about where you've ended up.
2. THE BEACH - Lovely year-round, though in the winter months, you're probably not likely to dip your toes in.
3. THE BLACK STALLION - A rather quaint bar. Supposedly, the burgers are great, but you don't see anyone immediately who's willing to serve you. Maybe you're meant to get it yourself.
4. THE OBELISK - The tall monolith in the center of the city marks the gathering place of many events, though right now it seems to be cold and dark.
5. THE CLOCKTOWER - Offering an impressive view of the city, several residents come here to clear their heads, if they don't mind braving the narrow staircase.
6. THE COFFEE JOINT - the front windows are warm and welcoming, and it seems there's always someone friendly enough to fix you a cup when you wander through.
7. THE CATACOMBS - Intrepid, aren't you? Those weird holes may beg exploring, but go too deep and you're going to be in a lot of trouble, considering the viciousness of the creatures held within.
8. THE CITY STREETS - All told, Ruby City is a lovely place, once you get past the fact that several of the buildings look derelict and on the verge of falling down. There's no harm in doing a little sightseeing.
9. THE PARK - You thought it'd be a lovely stroll, but the park is anything but friendly, if those approaching wolf-like creatures are any indication.
10. CHOOSE YOUR OWN - Don't like what we've come up with? Feel like picking your own place? There's a whole host of lovely locations to choose from in the City.

Scenarios

1. NEW ARRIVAL - Step off that train, walk down the street. People usually latch on to newcomers to try and help them out. Even if you look shy, the other residents probably won't be!
2. WATCH TALK - Feeling lost? Disoriented? Don't worry, everyone feels that way on their first day. Fortunately - if the signs at the station are to believed - the watch in your pocket can be used to talk to whoever else might be here.
3. BAD WEATHER - Aw, man. Whether it's snow, or rain, or just plain cold, today was definitely the wrong day to get dumped off in a City in the middle of nowhere.
4. A RUN-IN - Maybe you weren't watching. Maybe they weren't. Either way, you just bumped into someone. Perhaps apologies are in order?
5. HELP, IT HURTS - Clumsy, aren't you? Perhaps wherever the train brought you from wasn't so friendly, or you just tripped and twisted your ankle. Either way, you're in a bit of pain. Hopefully someone will notice your booboos and help patch you up.
6. HUNGRY - It isn't very obvious sometimes that restaurants are what they are, especially in a place like Ruby City. Where can a person go to get a bite to eat around here?
7. MISTAKEN IDENTITY - Hey, there's someone you know! --Or maybe not.
8. BEING FOLLOWED - Maybe you're just being paranoid, or maybe you've got a reason to be afraid. Whatever it is, it feels like there's eyes on you...
9. CURRENT EVENTS - The City is currently overrun with the DESPAIR DISEASE, which means some people are more violent than normal, the overall atmosphere is more dreary than it normally would be, and there's some pretty vicious creatures roaming the streets! Also, there's hardly anything to eat. What a frightening thing!
10. CHOOSE YOUR OWN - Don't like any of these ideas? Feel free to come up with your own!

He curled a lip, exuding sardonic confidence despite the fact that his pants were soaked through. "It seems 'never' isn't quite long enough. I'll fully admit that when I left the Enchanted Forest, I was a black-hearted bastard of a pirate, but I've changed, and I'm on the good side now. Emma - along with Snow White, and all the rest - know it to be true. Not my fault that you're behind the times."

Mulan pulled the blade back an inch or two but kept it pointed at the pirate. Her eyes narrowed as he gave her that cocky smirk. He was just as annoying as he had been the last time they met.

"If you're really on the good side, then you should have no problem asking them to vouch for you." Because if he was really 'dating' Emma, then he couldn't be too far from her. If you loved someone enough, then you would do whatever it took to be with them and protect them. "If you take me to them, I can ask them myself."

That smirk only widened. There was no hesitation in his tone or manner as he responded. "Aye, I've got no problem at all with that. You remember Emma talking about her son, don't you? Henry? How about him, as a reliable witness? Though the truth is, you could ask any person here from Storybrooke and they could tell you the same thing."

He paused. "Of course, you'll have to let me up for that."

"Yes, she told me about Henry." Henry was Emma's son and the boy Aurora met in the Dream World. Mulan had never actually met the boy, but she had heard enough about him to know a bit about who he was.

Reluctantly, she pulled the sword away and sheathed it. Her blade was definitely her strongest weapon, but she could easily defend herself against him if he tried attacking her. "Fine, take me to them."

No, she wasn't going to help him up. He could do that on his own.

Killian got to his feet, casually hooking his thumb in his belt. That put his hand close enough to his sword hilt for comfort, just in case things got violent again. Apparently provisions for the Jolly Roger would just have to wait.

"Aye, let's go to his house, then. And I'll explain where you find yourself on the way. I don't suppose you remember how you ended up on that horseless conveyance over there, do you?" he asked, as he began to head in the direction of the house that Henry and Mr. Gold shared.

Mulan followed along, keeping a close eye on her guide. If he led her to Emma or Mary Margaret, then she would obviously have more reason to trust him, but until then, she would tread carefully around the pirate.

"No, I was on my way to meet Robin Hood and his Merry Men when I awoke in that carriage, but I have no memory of how I got there in the first place." There was no memory of running into bandits or meeting anyone on her journey. She only remembered riding alone on the road before her arrival on the strange vehicle.

Killian wouldn't be taking her to Emma or Snow, unfortunately. She'd have to be content with Henry.

"That's typical, unfortunately," he said. "You're far from the only one who's been kidnapped to this strange, foreign land without any knowledge of how it happened. There are people here from many lands, and we don't know how they were brought here, or why."

"Is it the work of another curse?" Mulan did not have much knowledge on Storybrooke or how those affected by the curse lived, but everything about this sounded similar to Regina's curse. The only difference was that it apparently had affected multiple realms.

Then again, she wasn't sure if she could completely trust this pirate.

"Must be," Killian said, who really had no idea. "Don't know exactly who did it, though, or why. I really don't know yet, but considering even the Dark One seems to have no idea, I think it's a real mystery."

Mulan stopped in her tracks and looked at the pirate. Did he just say...? No, the Dark One was gone with Regina's curse. But if the pirate of all people could show up in a strange land, then there was nothing saying that the Dark One couldn't be as well.

"The Dark One is here?!"

Killian stopped when she did. "Oh yes, didn't I mention?" he said wryly. "The only three people here from our world, are myself, the Dark One, and Emma's son Henry. And now you - so that makes four." He smirked faintly, his eyes dark. "Isn't it grand?"

"If there's only four of us, then where are Emma and Snow White?" And more importantly why were they separated from Henry again. Did Neal fail in helping them in Neverland? More importantly, where was Hook taking her if it didn't involve meeting Snow or Emma?

"The Dark One being here is anything but 'grand,' Hook."

"Back in Storybrooke, I'd wager. That's where they were when I was drawn into this land," Killian said off-handedly.

Eyeroll. "I was being sarcastic, Mulan. I don't believe you know, but I once swore revenge against the Dark One. Him being here is not exactly my favourite thing about this place."

Mulan had to resist the urge to sigh in exasperation. There was a time and place for sarcasm (which was never, really) and discussing the Dark One while they were whisked away to another world was not the right time. "I'm sure you're not the first to swear revenge on him."

Still, that didn't make Killian any more trustworthy. But he did say that Henry would vouch for him...But if Emma and Snow weren't here...

"If Emma and Snow aren't here then who's protecting Henry?" Because it obviously wasn't this pirate.

"No doubt you're right," Killian agreed. "Though I may have come closest to fulfilling it." Not that he'd...succeeded... but never mind.

He frowned at her. "Henry lives with his grandfather, who is more than equipped to protect him. And I also protect the boy."
