Hi all! I'm Mark, new to Ruby City and I'm bringing this totally unknown guy from some no-name canon. You probably never heard of it. But he's cool, I promise.

Legolas is a Tolkien-flavor Elf, coming to you post Lord of the Rings, where he's been traveling around the world with his BFF Gimli.

Pffh ha. Guess Legolas can keep the dwarf but Thranduil is just happy that Legolas is alright, he's been told a bit about the War of the Ring.

IKR. ;_; well, I headcanon that sometime when most of the Elves in the kingdom are gone or faded into the landscape he takes a boat, so one day?

I believe so as well, Thranduil would not leave his people as long as they are there, even if it means not sailing for a while after Legolas and everyone else.

Yeah, exactly. I think he needed to be king for a while and see the kingdom to the end. <3

Serious is good sometimes Haldir, but there's also archery contests and hanging out in the woods. Trees are cool.

We have the issue that in the book Legolas knew the twins, how would you like that handled? Would they have said anything about the wound and the sailing and stuff? Or just "yeah she sailed no details kthxbye"?

I'm okay with about anything. I figure it would be hard to keep something like that quiet but he could probably have gotten something out of them about it?

The last time I had him in a game with Celebrian, we went with him having heard from the twins that she was hurt by orcs, and the wound wouldn't heal so she sailed - but no real details, because they were probably sadfacing at the time.

However, if you just want to go with something more vague, like knowing that she sailed and that it was extra sad for some reason, rumors suggests that she was hurt - but the twins didn't talk about it, so nothing direct.

Pick one and I'll go with that? :3

ah, okay last Celebrian must have done it differently with some headcanoning. Okay so basically after she was healed she just went "sad now, celebrian out"?

Very likely! But the book says "she was healed in body by Elrond, she lost all delight in Middle-earth, and passed over the sea." so it might be that the other one missed that.

Basically but more like too traumatized, verge of fading/dying so her family said "You're gonna sail because you dying is just too awful." And she lasted about a year after being saved before she ended up sailing.

I know she didn't miss that, she was just headcanoning. It's my bad for not being familiar with the story to remember what was headcanon or not, but I haven't studied Imladris as well as the other side. No big deal though as long as I'm on the same page as you.

...and yeah that's what I meant by "sad now" I was just being quick about it XD
