March Test Drive!

Thinking of apping a character but not sure they'll fit in the city walls?
Have no fear, a meme for you is here.
Directions:
- Use an RNG to choose a location and prompt, or wait for someone else to tag.
- Post with your character with their name and canon on top!
- If you'd like, leave contact info for people to get in contact for plotting and other such shenans.
- Tag around! Make friends. Don't be afraid to chat OOC while tagging.
Locations
1.TRAIN STATION - The place where everyone gets dumped off at. Your first view of Ruby City, complete with informational posters telling you all about where you've ended up.
2. THE BEACH - Lovely year-round, though in the winter months, you're probably not likely to dip your toes in.
3. THE BLACK STALLION - A rather quaint bar. Supposedly, the burgers are great, but you don't see anyone immediately who's willing to serve you. Maybe you're meant to get it yourself.
4. THE OBELISK - The tall monolith in the center of the city marks the gathering place of many events, though right now it seems to be cold and dark.
5. THE CLOCKTOWER - Offering an impressive view of the city, several residents come here to clear their heads, if they don't mind braving the narrow staircase.
6. THE COFFEE JOINT - the front windows are warm and welcoming, and it seems there's always someone friendly enough to fix you a cup when you wander through.
7. THE CATACOMBS - Intrepid, aren't you? Those weird holes may beg exploring, but go too deep and you're going to be in a lot of trouble, considering the viciousness of the creatures held within.
8. THE CITY STREETS - All told, Ruby City is a lovely place, once you get past the fact that several of the buildings look derelict and on the verge of falling down. There's no harm in doing a little sightseeing.
9. THE PARK - You thought it'd be a lovely stroll, but the park is anything but friendly, if those approaching wolf-like creatures are any indication.
10. CHOOSE YOUR OWN - Don't like what we've come up with? Feel like picking your own place? There's a whole host of lovely locations to choose from in the City.
Scenarios
1. NEW ARRIVAL - Step off that train, walk down the street. People usually latch on to newcomers to try and help them out. Even if you look shy, the other residents probably won't be!
2. WATCH TALK - Feeling lost? Disoriented? Don't worry, everyone feels that way on their first day. Fortunately - if the signs at the station are to believed - the watch in your pocket can be used to talk to whoever else might be here.
3. BAD WEATHER - Aw, man. Whether it's snow, or rain, or just plain cold, today was definitely the wrong day to get dumped off in a City in the middle of nowhere.
4. A RUN-IN - Maybe you weren't watching. Maybe they weren't. Either way, you just bumped into someone. Perhaps apologies are in order?
5. HELP, IT HURTS - Clumsy, aren't you? Perhaps wherever the train brought you from wasn't so friendly, or you just tripped and twisted your ankle. Either way, you're in a bit of pain. Hopefully someone will notice your booboos and help patch you up.
6. HUNGRY - It isn't very obvious sometimes that restaurants are what they are, especially in a place like Ruby City. Where can a person go to get a bite to eat around here?
7. MISTAKEN IDENTITY - Hey, there's someone you know! --Or maybe not.
8. BEING FOLLOWED - Maybe you're just being paranoid, or maybe you've got a reason to be afraid. Whatever it is, it feels like there's eyes on you...
9. CURRENT EVENTS - None at the moment, but feel free to look through our event tag!
10. CHOOSE YOUR OWN - Don't like any of these ideas? Feel free to come up with your own!

Soon.
Right now, the more urgent matter seemed to be his twin that had suddenly popped up. "Did you just get here?"
He had to, right? How else would Billy have missed him... the realization of which has him giving a slightly exasperated noise.
"Tell me the first thing you're worrying about ism't food."
no subject
"I... hey! Don't give me that look. I'm really hungry, and it smells so good, and youknow howIcan't focus that well whenI'mhungry," He slipped a few times, a mix of actual hunger, relief and excitement making it difficult to keep his speech at a normal speed.
He quieted for a moment, half wanting to hug Billy, and half trying to figure out how to ask him to please buy him a burger, but neither things were really in his nature to do. He made a face and looked down at his feet, clearing his throat.
"Would you mind buying me something?" He asked and then brightened up as he got an idea, "And then you can tell me what the hell is going on over food."
It sounded like a flawless plan to him.

So, whether Tommy decided against the hug or not, he was getting one from Billy. It was brief, but tight, and done before Tommy could protest too much about how he doesn't hug or something.
And then Billy actually laughed. Really? Fine. He was in too good of a mood all of a sudden to protest much. "Go grab a seat, Tommy. I'll be right there with some food, okay?"
no subject
His face lit up and Billy's hug transgression was immediately forgiven and forgotten when his twin agreed to buy him food.
"Got it!" In a blur he'd found a table, but half a second later he was back at Billy's side, "Hey. No lettuce or tomatoes, okay? Pickles are alright. They're hamburgers, right? I smell hamburgers? 'Cause it smells like hamburgers. Doesn't matter, whatever it is, I don't want anything green on it."
Without waiting for any kind of answer Tommy was back at the table, seated and playing with a fork and knife he'd found.
no subject
He still can't believe it. Tommy is here. That's-- actually way more comforting than it should be, he thinks. Any familiar face that isn't Loki would be. Problem was, he had no idea when Tommy came here from or how much he'd have to fill him in on.
"You know there's no real currency here anyway. You can just grab food to eat. Same goes for places to stay."
A pause. "So you really just got here?"
no subject
"Took you long enough," Tommy teases with a huge grin, eagerly sliding his plate in front of him and taking a bite of the burger. He pauses when Billy basically tells him that he'd planned out an entire dine and dash scenario for nothing. "Seriously?" He asks with a still mostly full mouth and then swallows.
He takes another bite and actually chews and swallows it before speaking again.
"Yea... what... is going on? 'Cause back home, you weren't missing, or anything," He leans in, voice dropping like he's worried they'll be overheard, "What is this place? Can't we leave?"
If there's one thing Tommy absolutely hates, it's being trapped.
no subject
"No. We're being kept here as some kind of experiment, Tommy, and my magic is worthless so far... at least as far as taking anyone home. We're stuck for the foreseeable future basically."
What else? Oh-- "The Avengers are here... some of them anyway. They don't recognize us though. They're from some different world where we don't exist."
no subject
He pales at the mention of this being an experiment. Kept here. Stuck. Suddenly, he's really not hungry anymore.
"Oh," He nods a few times too many, forcing the waver from his voice, "Sounds... kinda weird. So. You've tried to leave? And... nothing? Or, what happened?"
He wasn't going to panic. He wasn't.
no subject
And besides, he doesn't know what Tommy would do, being trapped in a place like this.
"We'll figure it out. There are people working on ways to get out..."
no subject
"Right back here? How? So, if I just run... I'll end up where? Back in the middle of town?" He already knows what he'll be trying the second he and Billy go their separate ways. It isn't that he doesn't trust his twin, but he won't be satisfied until he tries himself.
He realizes he's twisted up a napkin in his hands and quickly pulls it off the table and shoves it in his pocket.
"Okay... How long have you been here?"
no subject
"I've been here about a month, I guess. What's the last thing you remember before coming here anyway?"
no subject
"A compulsion. Huh. Compulsions can be ignore if you fight hard enough," He said sagely, a tone that really didn't fit coming out of Tommy's mouth.
"A month is so long to be trapped, B. So long," He groaned, pushing the plate away so he can fold his arms on the table and bury his head in them.
"A warehouse, then a kiss and a party. You being huggy," He reported without lifting his head, voice muffled but audible, "I've been 'back' about two weeks." He even manages to untuck his hands long enough to make quotation marks with his fingers for Billy.
no subject
"I came right from the party," he answered after a moment and, after a short debate, reached over to ruffle Tommy's hair lightly. He felt like he had to do something to try and cheer him up, or at least comfort him. He looked absolutely miserable right now...
"Come on, we'll figure it out, Tommy. Like I said, there are too many people working on it right now."
no subject
He grumbled quietly and made a half hearted swat after Billy's hand, raising his head to give him a glare. He tried to let that distract him, but the reality of the situation was quick to return.
"Sure," He said unconvincingly, "At least I'm not alone this time, I guess."
