Locations

1.TRAIN STATION - The place where everyone gets dumped off at. Your first view of Ruby City, complete with informational posters telling you all about where you've ended up.
2. THE BEACH - Lovely year-round, though in the winter months, you're probably not likely to dip your toes in.
3. THE BLACK STALLION - A rather quaint bar. Supposedly, the burgers are great, but you don't see anyone immediately who's willing to serve you. Maybe you're meant to get it yourself.
4. THE OBELISK - The tall monolith in the center of the city marks the gathering place of many events, though right now it seems to be cold and dark.
5. THE CLOCKTOWER - Offering an impressive view of the city, several residents come here to clear their heads, if they don't mind braving the narrow staircase.
6. THE COFFEE JOINT - the front windows are warm and welcoming, and it seems there's always someone friendly enough to fix you a cup when you wander through.
7. THE CATACOMBS - Intrepid, aren't you? Those weird holes may beg exploring, but go too deep and you're going to be in a lot of trouble, considering the viciousness of the creatures held within.
8. THE CITY STREETS - All told, Ruby City is a lovely place, once you get past the fact that several of the buildings look derelict and on the verge of falling down. There's no harm in doing a little sightseeing.
9. THE PARK - You thought it'd be a lovely stroll, but the park is anything but friendly, if those approaching wolf-like creatures are any indication.
10. CHOOSE YOUR OWN - Don't like what we've come up with? Feel like picking your own place? There's a whole host of lovely locations to choose from in the City.


Scenarios


1. NEW ARRIVAL - Step off that train, walk down the street. People usually latch on to newcomers to try and help them out. Even if you look shy, the other residents probably won't be!
2. WATCH TALK - Feeling lost? Disoriented? Don't worry, everyone feels that way on their first day. Fortunately - if the signs at the station are to believed - the watch in your pocket can be used to talk to whoever else might be here.
3. BAD WEATHER - Aw, man. Whether it's snow, or rain, or just plain cold, today was definitely the wrong day to get dumped off in a City in the middle of nowhere.
4. A RUN-IN - Maybe you weren't watching. Maybe they weren't. Either way, you just bumped into someone. Perhaps apologies are in order?
5. HELP, IT HURTS - Clumsy, aren't you? Perhaps wherever the train brought you from wasn't so friendly, or you just tripped and twisted your ankle. Either way, you're in a bit of pain. Hopefully someone will notice your booboos and help patch you up.
6. HUNGRY - It isn't very obvious sometimes that restaurants are what they are, especially in a place like Ruby City. Where can a person go to get a bite to eat around here?
7. MISTAKEN IDENTITY - Hey, there's someone you know! --Or maybe not.
8. BEING FOLLOWED - Maybe you're just being paranoid, or maybe you've got a reason to be afraid. Whatever it is, it feels like there's eyes on you...
9. CURRENT EVENTS - None at the moment, but feel free to look through our event tag!
10. CHOOSE YOUR OWN - Don't like any of these ideas? Feel free to come up with your own!

She made small adjustments again, though less than before. She stepped back to watch. "Second form. Once you have these two perfect five times in a row each, we can move on," she said, cheerfully.

"Such a slave driver" he sighs but twinkles at her and obliges, taking the positions as she directs.

[nadenagi]

She grins, unfooled by his words. She again makes minute nit-picky adjustments. "First form."

[asinglebook]

"First form" He repeats obediently, obliging her, and will continue to do so.

[nadenagi]

So she would run him through the two forms until she was convinced he was perfect at both. It would probably take a few hours. She'd clap happily. "you're doing wonderfully! And picking it up so quickly! We can do more tomorrow though, you're going to want to rest those muscles. Tea break?"

He's tired and he knows he will be sore by the time she lets up, but he's been tireder and sorer for much less pleasant a cause than a young lady's smile, so he does not begrudge her.

"I would appreciate it, aye" He agrees when she offers.

[nadenagi]

"Great! You could use something sweet. You worked hard, you earned it," she said with a warm smile. "Then a good night's rest, and we can get back to work in the morning!"

She bounced over and hooked herself over his arm again.

"Thank you milady." He says dryly. "Although I do wonder if it is you who wishes a treat!"

He stretches slightly and pats her hand fondly. "But I will not deny that a good cup of tea would go amiss. Come then."

[nadenagi]

"That too," she said with a smile, walking with him. "However, you need to replace the calories burned until your body is used to this kind of work."

[asinglebook]

"Wise words" Erestor nods, and escorts her across to the tea shop. "And are you one of those fond of early morning starts then?"

[nadenagi]

"Well I have to be," she said with a warm smile. "Guardians meet before and after school, and I need time to rehearse. So I get up four hours before school begins, to make sure I have time for everything. Especially since I make the tea for the Guardian meetings, so I have to bring everything in!"

[asinglebook]

"A hard worker" Erestor nods, approvingly. "You will certainly get along well with Glorfindel - that one I suspect does not sleep at all."

[nadenagi]

"Sleep is important for the body to replenish its stores of energy and for musculature to heal right," she said a bit primly. "But I still look forward to making a new friend!"

[asinglebook]

"For mortals this is undoubtedly true" Erestor chuckles lowly.

"But we Eldar do not sleep, as you do. And Glorfindel is old enough to not need to sleep almost ever, so far as I can tell."

[nadenagi]

She just stared at him for a long moment. As did Temari. "You're.... not mortal?" Like she was trying to figure out if he was teasing and she was missing out on a fine joke.

[asinglebook]

"Not as you are" He shakes his head. "The Eldar are bound to Arda and its fate, and although we can be slain, we endure so long as it does."

[nadenagi]

"And that means you don't need sleep?" she said a bit enviously. "School must have been so much easier. Or do you still have as little time to study, even with an unending day?"

[asinglebook]

"Not quite - but we do not need as much." Erestor explains "And the older we get, the less we need. The oldest of us sleep because they can, not because they have to, unless they are injured. Most of the time, it is enough to merely drift in memories of happy times."

"As for school" He shrugs a little. "I was born in a time of war, so I had little formal schooling in my childhood beyond what my parents could spare the time to teach. My lords saw that I could read and write and fight, that I knew the history of our people, but most of my learning came later, when I was into my young adulthood."

[nadenagi]

She blinked then squeezed his arm, sympathetically. "Did you finally get to attend all the classes you would have wanted to?" Nadeshiko asked softly.

[asinglebook]

"Well we did not have classes, as such" Erestor explains. "I was not nobility, after all. But my lords were always very good about opening their libraries and I had access to plenty of information growing up, so yes, I suppose that i did."

[nadenagi]

"Then..." she considered. "Do you want to go to school?"

[asinglebook]

"Oh, no!" He smiles and shakes his head. "I am long past the age for schooling. These days I am the teacher, and not the student."

[nadenagi]

"Well then," Nadeshiko said brightly, just like a girl with a crush, "I look forward to learning from you!"

Erestor pats her hand fondly. "A mutual exchange of ideas, hm?"

She smiled brightly and nodded. "I like that!" Nadeshiko declared happily.
