RUMOR WAR EVENT
The Wallmaker's Puzzle - Prizes

Good day, Ruby City!

Thank you for your eager participation in the first Puzzle event! We've learned a lot of things about how these events should go now, and are excited to form new and more intriguing puzzles for the next time. Our next Rumor War will be a comedy/action event, though, and we're eager to get to it; it's planned for July.

The changes that will be made to the city for Pride's win will be announced in the log for the Pride Ball.

As stated in the first post about this rumor war, those who participated in this event will be receiving some interesting prizes. These prizes are designed to help with future events, so if that is something you would like to take advantage of, please feel free to.

The Event Prizes are as follows:

-2 small but Useful Objects associated with the assigned fairy tale

One of these objects is allowed to be a weapon. However, that weapon may only be a weapon that is the length of the characters' arm or shorter. Any weapon that would be bigger than that is not permitted, but don't worry.

An outfit from the fairy tale also counts as one of the two objects.

You do not have to choose a weapon or an outfit; it can be something else like a box or accessory as well.

-1 Vial that, if consumed, will bestow an ability associated with the assigned fairy tale

This vial can be of any ability the fairy tale has, but not a puzzle ability. For instance, a Cheshire Cat character may receive a vial that will allow the drinker to disappear, but not a vial with the ability "climb" or some such. Though Abilities will come into play in other events, they are an event-specific mechanic.

Characters do not have to consume the vial. They may keep it for later or for trade, or be far too suspicious to drink it. This is fine. The vial will bestow an ability to the drinker, not to the person who received it.

-1 Festival Doll of the character dressed as their assigned fairy tale

These dolls are similar to those from the Summer Festival and those that can, on special events, be won at the Boardwalk, and are just small character dolls with outfits. They have no other specific use.

The Ball Log will go up tonight (Friday, April 24th) at 5pm EST. Again, we will announce the Pride changes to the city in that log, as well as the rest of what will be happening during the day of the ball. (We apologise for the bit of lag in those details.)

However, we encourage you to continue backtagging both the event and the ball. Have fun, and thanks again for participating!

If we opted for a mythical creature over a specific fairy tale, are there any variations in prizes? Some of these don't really translate.

EDIT: specifically the Useful Objects (weapon/outfit) + Vial??? but THE DOLL THING IS FINE and also adorable.

I am so sorry for making your job harder I love you guys really.

How close to the puzzle abilities is too close? For example, I was thinking of having the vial either turn Diarmuid into a rabbit or just shrink his size...but would that be too close to the ability 'small' to use?

I can't think of any ability for Peter Pan that wasn't a puzzle ability. His main two attributes were flying and fighting, both of which I gave to Henry for that reason. I suppose I could use youthfulness as never growing up is a trait associated with the fairy tale (and it would save on icons) but that depends on how long the vial lasted.

Though I am totally giving him the Disney outfit as an object and possibly a small knife? Since they appear in the Disney film.

And since I'm asking questions, I am planning for Henry to go on canon update once this event is over. Can he disappear at midnight of the ball (very Cinderella-esque) and still receive his prizes?

I asked on Plurk, but it might be useful to ask on here too. I was thinking of giving Gold the crossbow that's in his version of BatB as well as the golden arrow that causes the situation (turning him into a beast). Can I do that, or would the arrow be considered a weapon as well?

If not I'll likely just go with the arrow and the outfit the Beast wears, sized to fit Gold.

Are any of the useful objects themselves magical, or are they just "useful?" Like for example, I have characters who wouldn't really be able to get much of use if they simply got objects related to the fairy tales. (Aside from sharpened candy sticks, I suppose. Wheee, pointy.)

Ssssso about those objects. Would it possible for Xemnas to get what amounts to a heart in a box, only less the physical organ and more one of the kind that would have actually gone into Kingdom Hearts? Not necessarily Xemnas' heart specifically, but something along those general lines all the same?

This is a question that comes from reading the newer post on vials, I hope that's okay. It said that a vial that allows permanent ability to transform isn't allowed, does that include if part of your fairy tale involved the character transforming into a creature and back, such as in the swan princess, where the woman changes to a swan during the day and back at night? would the character be restrained to the restrictions based on the tale?
