Hello everyone! Zorn here again! I haven't been back for about a year, so most of you probably don't remember me. But for those who do, I used to play Eridan here.
BUT NOT TODAY.
I'm bringing with me Lord Haurchefant de Fortemps from Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward! For those who don't know who that is, he's an eccentric noble from a super religious city-state named Ishgard, which has been in a millennia long war with dragons, and also has been stuck in an eternal winter for like 5+ years now. While Ishgardians are known for their aloof, stand-offish, and often inhospitable natures, Haurchefant is very much the opposite.
He's a really nice, encouraging, and all around friendly guy! He's just a little weird and excitable, not to mention quick to shower praises onto people to the point of being a little uncomfortable. But overall he's a really great dude!
I'm looking forward to getting CR with everyone here, if any of you would like to read my app for Haurchefant, you can find it here, but if you don't want Heavensward spoilers then don't read it. IT'S FULL OF THEM.

My main's SMN(/BLM) and I got SMN to 60 first, it's just that... I had to spend like two weeks yelling at SE support, because my CE arrived without a registration code so I couldn't play after early access ended. AST is prrrrrrobably gonna be my next 60, so I can do law grinds w/out having to sit through dps queues DX

Nice, yeah I have smn and blm on my main, but now I'm focusing on smn, blm will be next! Also that SUCKS... SE needs to get their shit together, I heard there were quite a few people with issues similar to that, eugh. From what I've seen of AST it seems like such a fun job, I should probably lvl it sometime too... I just wanna lvl everything, gdi.

Yeah, it was a maaaajor pain, although I've been back on for a bit now, and have been scrabbling to catch up to plot and gear. I've got almost all my gear law or expert dungeons now though! So I'm getting somewhere. Also AST is hella fun, imo, but it hasn't got as much coverage for the "oh shit" moments. Essential Dignity is pretty good, but that's it so far (at lvl 50)

I'm glad they finally resolved it for you! I won't lie, I hated ast for a bit because when I was lvling drk, for some reason asts would let me get to like 10% hp before healing me, so I was like I BETTER NOT SEE ANOTHER AST AGAIN... and then I'd always get one... But now that I've seen what they can do when someone who LIKES to heal, does the thing? They seem really really resourceful and a lot of fun.
I actually pseudo main sch, I was an end game sch till 3.0 came out, now I haven't touched it because the changes have kinda pissed me off, but maybe I'll see how much ast sits with me once I have other things done!

Yeah, they gave me a standard reg code and told me to contact them when my account was registered for that so it could be bumped to CE (which should be done now; I was talking to them about that earlier.) And yeah, I can... see why they might? Essential Dignity does more heals the lower the hp so I can see a lot of the draw there. Plus keeping on top of card buffs takes a lot of time - I've heard there's a lot less time to dps with AST especially post-50.
On the other hand one of the stances is basically "SCH without the pet", so maybe that could be a replacement? Although I do know AST barriers will replace SCH barriers and SCH barriers are for more so you'd probably want to swap stances in 8-mans if there's a SCH in.

See and I would totally understand that to an extent, except none of them were... They would just heal me up with benefic II or whatever. So it was even MORE puzzling to me. I can understand the whole jostling with cards, but pls heal the tank...
Yeah I'll have to see. I still really do like having a healing pet and sch in general (I'm just super mad about lustrate >:[), and maybe I'll get over it with time, be I'll just have to compare the two eventually!

...I got nothing then. But the swarm of people trying the new shiny should be mostly over by now.
Yeah, that threw me too - I mostly have SCH up because SMN and might as well - but I can understand why too? Like if a non-WAR tank has ~16k hp it'd start to get a littttttle op to heal for percentile damage.

Also someone in my FC tested it, and I haven't looked to see if it was a bug or not, but eos' healing buffs didn't affect lustrate. I hope it was a bug that's been fixed, but I haven't heard anything about it yet.
