Um, yeah, very different. We're just... normal humans with magic. We're not tied to any gods.

Mine is, yes. It varies from person to person. It's not tied to the elements though.

One of the most powerful Wizards became a servant of the Enemy. He set his will against those of us who sought the Enemy's destruction. A mountain was nearly brought down on top of us.

I'm surprised, with Wizards in your world being... um, divinely created, I suppose, that one would be willing to be anyone's subordinate.

You forget that Light and Darkness are apart of creation.

Most of the Valar are good and wish for the beauty of the world to continue. However there was one who set himself against their will. He, in turn, recruited an apprentice of sorts to follow after him. It is that apprentice that gained the Wizard's attention and favor.

One did, but it was a forest of Ents and two Hobbits that spelled his doom. They did not take kindly to him chopping down their trees, you see. Ents are shepherds of the forest.

I didn't realize forests had shepherds.

They ensure that the trees grow strong, though their numbers are far fewer after they lost their females.
