"Chalk?" He echoed at her question, putting the knife down to look around. He had spotted a folded sign that could be written on with chalk so he figured there must be some around here somewhere. He found a drawer with various knicknacks and lo and behold - some chalk buried in the back of it.

He placed it on the counter for her and then continued to check the heat of the stove. Perfect. He dribbled some oil into the large skillet-like cast iron pan and dumped the meat in along with some pinches of spices and some sauce from a bottle. It sizzled merrily while he washed his hands and continued chopping up the veggies. If his brother gods saw him now - they'd be probably letting him have it. He hoped that wherever they were, they were all right.

"I'm sure you'll be able to do anything you put your mind and heart to." He said, responding to her earlier words. "You have a strength of spirit that when combined with your bond of friendship - it can accomplish anything." He had the feeling she'd make a great healer. Perhaps even a protector.
