CR/Plotting/Handwaving Meme
Time for another of these! You all know what to do by now, and we all love some good CR, don't we? You can either ask for/offer CR you'd like to play out... Or you can discuss what may or may not already have happened!
INSTRUCTIONS
♥ Post with your characters, one per comment or a catch-all. If you have any CR in particular you'd like to rally, mention it here!
♣ Go around to other characters and discuss ways your characters may have interacted in handwaved settings. This could be casual meetings at the pub, patrols they may have gone on together, hikes and explorations, or just whatever strikes your fancy!
♦ Come up with some backstory for friendships that might not have gotten played out as fully as you'd have liked. These guys are trapped on a floating island together, 24/7... You know they bump into each other! New CR is highly encouraged - you never know what might happen.

CHARACTER(S): Dave Strider
WHO ARE THEY?: Traumatized time-traveling memelord engaged to beautiful Victorian babe. Dangan Roleplay CRAU. Extremely millennialTM. Wears his sunglasses at night.
CURRENTLY: Recovering from his first Ruby City event--he really didn't like having his entire life/memories altered and knowing people he doesn't actually know. Also, he's been nursing a black eye the size of his face after the Black Rabbit raid, and he's vain enough not to want to socialize while he looks like hot shit. Also, AU Dave's WWI flashbacks brought up some ugly memories for him, so he's been quieter than usual.
CR YOU'D LIKE: I didn't get to play out everything I wanted in the event because time crunches along like a speed eater, so if anyone wants to a) handwave some things, like checking in post-raid or attending the Striders' movie premiere or b) still play out heavy stuff, hit me up here! I'm happy to keep things going in the log or in inboxes or whatever, and I'm also conscious that the game moves forward.
I'm also eager to play fallout after the event, given that folks may assume certain connections between AU Dave's tragic background and Dave's actual tragic background. That and he got to talk to a lot more people than he previously knew, so it's been a nice way to cement himself into the city.

CHARACTER(S): Rip van Winkle
WHO ARE THEY?: She's....a vampires that likes to kill things?
CURRENTLY: If she's not in trouble, she's either out hunting or hanging around her shop (The Leather Shop) or just randomly around town.
CR YOU'D LIKE: All of it. Rip needs to get back into the swing of things so anything and everything is welcomed at this point.

CHARACTER(S): Show Pony [
WHO ARE THEY?:
Show Pony is a Killjoy, a rebel freedom fighter, if you will, from a post-apocalyptic futuristic setting that mostly takes place in now mostly desert California. Show Pony and others from their worlds call themselves by that title, set in fighting the evil mega corporation BL/Ind (Better Living Industries), which control the only major city in the desert, Battery City. Killjoys's ideals focus around fighting against tyranny, freedom of expression, art, music, and the like. In the original setting, Show Pony is DJ Doctor Death Defying's assistant, a fairly known figure in the Zones, and a friend and ally of the Fabulous Four.
In Ruby City, Show Pony is a little more worn down. Having been in another world (read: another DW game) that definitely left a few marks, most of them unseen, Pony isn't as energetic as they used to be a little less on the positive side. However, since they've showed up in Ruby City, along with Cherri Cola (who came from the same previous world/game as Pony), they've been settling well into the city and dealing with its usual shenanigans. Pony is fairly approachable and can often be seen skating around the city and observing events/gatherings from the sidelines. When they communicate in the network, they often avoid showing themself in video feeds, a habit maintained for a good few years now. However, they're happy to talk to anyone who wants a word.
Steven is a half-human half-Gem (alien creatures based on real-world gems, with myriads of magic powers, including projected physical forms) boy from a world based on our real world. He's part of a group called the Crystal Gems, a band of aliens who've been living on Earth for a very, very long time, defending it from danger and protecting all its creatures. Steven is the son of a human man, Greg, and a powerful gem, Rose Quartz, an important figure and former leader of the Crystal Gems.
Steven is very friendly and sweet. Often times in the past, he's shown to be a little naive, though he's had to grow out of it as life and events transpired. Learning to find his place between the human and gemkind, training in order to control his powers and grow stronger as a gem, and dealing with taking his mothers place in the group (as she had to give up her physical form so that he may exist), Steven is a lot more mature than people often take him for, but without losing his child-like wonder and care for everyone who he comes to meet. He's also got some sweet magic powers and super strength, too.
Alphys is a lizard-like monster from a world where Monsters and Humans used to live together, until a war between these peoples broke up and the Humans drove the Monsters underground for centuries. Living and hoping for one day living in the surface again, monsters made their lives underground as best they could. Alphys, having gained the title of Royal Scientist, was charged with finding a way to help that process - which, unfortunately, went less than positive. However, in the end, with the help of a human that had fallen into the Underground, like many before, monsterkind was finally set free and given the chance to live on the surface again.
Alphys is quiet, awkward, and extremely introverted. She exhibits signs of severe social anxiety throughout her story, partly explained by the events in her life. While she does show some progress towards the end, Alphys is still an anxious creature. She's very much the excitable nerd kind too. Despite everything, she is friendly and aspires to do the right thing, even if, sometimes, she might not have the courage to do it.
CURRENTLY:
Show Pony is often seen skating around in the city in the mornings, both for excise and scouting purposes, trying to see signs of future events and anything that grants a warning. While they haven't told anyone yet, they're considering the possibility of exploring outside the city. They're also pondering on revisiting the idea of offering some kind of delivery & trade service, and helping out with the radio work.
Steven is mostly going by, dealing with his recent trip to and from the catacombs (and the first time it did not involve going back to his world at all). As we get into February, he's having ideas on how to celebrate Valentines' Day and try to spread some cheer and putting smiles on people's faces. He also visits the stores, specially the music store, very often, and can be seen going to classes at the School.
Alphys is dealing with the idea of being in Ruby City, attempting to accept it for what it is (and struggling). She's been trying to go outside more often and meet some of the residents, torn between homesickness and the idea of starting anew. She can often be seen walking around, specially around the Laboratory and the Library. And the train station.
CR YOU'D LIKE:
Anything, really. Both positive and negative CR, though I'd specially appreciate more positive CR for Alphys, and someone who can give Pony some sort of task.
