1. Using a journal of a character you've considered apping in Ruby City, post a comment as if they're already in the game! It can be audio/video, accidental/on purpose, intro/been there for ages.

2. Tag around with others--potential characters or characters who are already in the game--to see how well they fit.

3. Get a better idea of how well they'd work out in Ruby City, and app or not app accordingly!

[ my goodness who is this dashingly dressed young man with the huge pants stepping off the train and looking faintly puzzled at his watch. maybe if he prods at it enough he'll figure out what it does? which conveniently enough manages to switch the video feed on. ]

This doesn't look like any world I've been to...

[ what an astute observation. oblivious (for now) to the fact that he's actually turned his watch on, he'll be looking around the station for a bit before moving to look around the surrounding area, if anyone wants to enlighten him as to his situation and prevent him from running into any villains and making more terrible life decisions. ]

[Ven's boredom was reaching new heights so he kept prodding at the watch in his room, trying not to let his mind wander what he knew was going to happen when he finally let this place.

Then, all of a sudden, he sat up. A certain person had arrived whom he recognised and he wasn't at all happy at the sight. Sure that Aqua had seen it too, he escaped through the window on his glider instead of via the door, landing not far from the station and walking in with his Keyblade summoned.

Seeing Terra, Ventus did his best to whack him around the head with said Keyblade before walking off again. No words. No explanation. Just a simple attack.]

[ luckily for Terra, years of training have made his reflexes nothing to be sniffed at, and he manages to summon his own Keyblade in time to parry the blow before he's even realised who it is that's suddenly coming out of nowhere to hit him.

and then he gets a better look, and he almost drops his Keyblade in surprise. what--? ]

Ven?!

[ why is Ven here, wherever here is? and more to the point, why is he attacking Terra? ]

[Ven knew the blow wouldn't contact but he needed to try anyway. He needed that out of his system from the moment he returned here. Walking back to the apartment, he did his best not to stop and try and attack Terra again for what he did, but he knew he would never be able to win against his...against him.

So he just walked away, back to the forest. Maybe attacking the training apparatus would help calm him down.]

[ Terra is...... confused, to put it lightly. he can't think of a reason why Ven would attack him so suddenly - not in a way that seemed that serious, anyway. it can't have been more than a day or so since he last saw Ven, in Radiant Garden. just what has gotten into him? could it be... no.

only one way to find out. frowning, he sets off after his friend. ]

Ven, wait!

[ normally, he'd give his friend time to cool off if he was this angry - mostly because it's so rare to see Ven get this worked up. but this came right out of nowhere, and it worries him just as much as it confuses him. ]

[Ven knew he had advantage here due to knowing more about the city than Terra did. So he took a slightly detoured route to the forest, summoning his Keyblade again and attacking the apparatus he'd wished for, more in anger than in training. He continued to hit for a few minutes before calming down enough to actually train and take his mind off Terra.

It had crossed his mind that his friend would follow but he tried not to think about it, using both magical and normal attacks, he trained for the next problem the city would bring.]

T-Terra!!

[That's the only kind of reply he gets over the watch before Aqua is pulling on a pair of sneakers and pulling on her necklace, the pin that marks them as Keybearers hanging from the chain rather than strapped across her chest and she runs out of the apartment and downstairs.

It doesn't take her more than five minutes to get there, and she's barely out of breath when she does get there.

He'll notice a distinct change in Aqua's appearance. She looks a couple years older now and has much longer hair than she used too, thanks to France's objections to her cutting her hair, and she's dressed nothing like she did when they were studying under Eraqus.

And she just throws herself at him for a hug.]

Aqua?!

[ he sounds surprised - surprised to find her here, surprised at her change in appearance - it can't have been more than a day or so since they last saw each other, surely? - surprised at the way she throws herself right at him. reflexively, he catches her, returning the hug in a way that's almost bewildered. whatever this world is, however he got here - something's strange. not right. ]

Are you alright? [ because yes, that is his first consideration. ] What is this world?

I'm fine, don't worry.

[Gosh Terra, don't be such a worrier. That's Aqua's job, remember? And she's got an entire city to worry about, both healthwise and defensively.]

This is Ruby City, it's completely disconnected from the Worlds we know. And time works differently, so don't worry about what's happening back home, okay?

[Completely ignoring the added years on herself, okay? Okay.]
