1. Using a journal of a character you've considered apping in Ruby City, post a comment as if they're already in the game! It can be audio/video, accidental/on purpose, intro/been there for ages.

2. Tag around with others--potential characters or characters who are already in the game--to see how well they fit.

3. Get a better idea of how well they'd work out in Ruby City, and app or not app accordingly!

[He isn't paying such close attention as to notice the slide of her eyes, though he is paying quite close attention. Why, you could call it staring if you were inclined to do so, though he is trying his hardest not to stare. There is something... Well, there is just something odd about her arms. He gets closer, tilting his head to the side as he keeps trying to stare in the most stealthy manner possible. It's just a matter of time until he throws all feeble attempts at tact out of the window and just starts interrogating her.]

Ve? [Oh, nowhe had been so busy staring that he had forgotten to respond.] Oh, I'm sure there is a word for it! Germany would know, he's smart. Mister Austria would know it, too. I will ask him the next time I see him! He is a musician and he is very smart, too.

I'm a painter. [He giggles, enjoying his little insider joke.] A Renaissance painter!

[She shrugs passively. At least she's enough of a slacker to not know that those are countries.] We'll learn it some time along.

[She gains a lazy but genuine smile at this.] I'm a painter, too. Maybe it's just something that happens to artists after a while. [She tilts her head to the side.] What makes someone an artist, anyway?

[He coos gently as a matching smile tugs his lips upwards.] Ve... I wouldn't know... I'm not smart like that. I would rather think about why they say that a four-leaf clover is lucky or why kittens mew. But we can think about what makes someone an artist, too! Maybe we can find an answer together.

[While they are on the topic of questions, he just can't help himself anymore.] Why are you hiding your arms?

You give weirder answers than Sensei does. [This gains a bit of broadening in her smile, although the half-open eyes make her look a bit stoned like that.] Maybe artists are artists because they say funny things a lot.

[The question gains him a non-commital shrug, but no response. Maybe she's spacing out again. As is her voice sounds more like she's talking to herself than to him.]

[He pouts, he doesn't like being ignored, it is mean. Feliciano puffs up his cheeks and exhales slowly. His new friend is hard to talk to, just like Temper and Loki, though she isn't as mean as them. Why does he have to try to make friends with such difficult people? Well, persistence usually gets some response from Temper...]

Maybe they are! Or maybe artists are people who see the world with different eyes. They see things that other people don't notice because they are too busy rushing through their lives. They wouldn't notice the kitten or the clover at all. [A heartbeat of pause.] And you didn't tell me yet why your arms are weird.

Woah, it told me I lost my post but I hadn't. o_O

It must be sad if you can't see things like kittens and clovers. [She pauses, and then waves her arm-stumps experimentally. An expression crosses her face that seems rather offended, although the term is used loosely.] It's not important. They're just not there.

DW is trolling you again.

[Oh wait, what's that? He stares at her sleeves, having forgotten all about his attempt to be discreet. They are suspiciously empty. Just flopping about in a way which doesn't look like she is hiding her hands in her sleeves, now that he thinks about it.]

You have no arms! [Whoops. So maybe such a loud, triumphant exclamation wasn't completely appropriate. Feliciano's cheeks turn pink.] How do you paint without hands?

Goddamnit.

[Her lazy smile returns. Brutal honesty is a good trait.]

I use my feet. [She says this as if it's completely obvious.] If you give me something to draw with, I can show you.

Your feet! [He tilts his head to the left and stares at her face, then at her feet. Nope. He isn't buying it. Who does she take him for, a gullible person?

Feliciano rummages around in the pocket of his coat, unburying after some searching a sketchpad and a pencil. He offers the pencil to her, then just holds out his hand awkwardly when he realizes she has no hand to take it with.]

Here... you...? Ve!

[quiet_like_the_sky]

[She doesn't seem to notice the awkwardness of this, or chooses to ignore it. Instead she just nods toward the ground, and seems to address it instead of Feli.] You'll have to drop it so I can use it. Unless you want to hold it up for me while I sit, but that won't be as comfortable for either of us.

Oh! [He crouches down and places the pencil on the ground in front of her feet, the open sketchbook next to it.

Feli goes back to unabashed staring once that is done.] I have never seen anyone draw with their feet!

[This time she doesn't respond at all. She just quietly picks up the pencil between her right foot's toes, and places her left foot on the edge of the sketchbook to balance herself and hold the paper. Her lines are precise and methodical, just like any person drawing with their hands, and it's clear she's had years of practice despite her young age. Before long, a rough sketch of Feli's face is becoming more and more clean and detailed by the second. Her only problem seems to be that erasing means putting the pencil down, twisting around and picking it up from the opposite angle, and then repeating it to start drawing again.]

[Feli watches her, at first with confused amusement, but that changes as she keeps drawing. There is true artistic talent in her pencil strokes and as he watches in fascination, he forgets for a while that she isn't even using her hand. Feliciano remains uncharacteristically silent, just watching Rin work is enough to keep him occupied.

He speaks up only when she is done.] Ve... it's me! It looks just like me... [He smiles at her.] You're a good artist! I've never seen anyone do what you do!
