Welcome to DreamWidth!

Welcome to DreamWidth

Well, welcome one and all. We know that a move like this can be disorienting. So, take your time and poke around DreamWidth to get familiar with it. If you have any trouble, please comment here with your questions.

Anyone who knows the answer to any questions posed is encouraged to share their knowledge. :) Otherwise, we as mods will do our best to answer whatever we can, or if not, research that answer and get back to you.

It's not a question, but I thought this might be useful for some people! 8)

< user name = > works the same as the one on LJ. >.> And you can link to other sites in a similar way by doing < user name = blahblah site = www.livejournal.com > so in the end you get [personal profile] rubycitymods and [livejournal.com profile] rubycitymods So if you have icons you want to credit whose users made them on LJ, that's a neat little thing.

Also not a question, but I come bearing possibly useful stuff for people! ^.^

How to change the look of the site theme to resemble ex-LJ and a few alternative tweaks:

Also, possibly useful ~> http://starlit.dreamwidth.org/272.html How to get LJ layouts on DW. ^.^ There's a few other codes for other layouts in the comments. [profile] style_sheets is also super helpful for layouts and importing help.

And, lastly, I saw the RC mods mention how you can get refunds? It's true. A friend of mine managed to get back the money from a gifted 6 months paid she gifted. As long as it was sometime after the 9th of December, I heard, you should be able to do it, but goodness knows for how long, so do jump on it! ^_^b
