I'm Celty. The watch thing you have sends out messages, videos, stuff like that. We all got one when we wound up here.

[Pauses to glance over the screen again when its shown to her, nodding as well once she is done.]

It's a-- a pleasure t'meet you then, Celty. I'm Seras. [At least this person seems to be pleasant enough in the explanation of this strange place.]

And that would explain why people've been managing to talk t'me through this thing... 's weird. [She purses her lips and glances back down at the watch.]

Ruby City? Where is that? I don't think I've ever heard of it...

[Celty gives a little shrug before typing again]

It does audio and video and text, sometimes when you don't want it to, so be careful. The video quality is better than most phones back home too. Not sure about the tech specs or the network.

[Her shoulders sag a bit.]

There's no internet here either.



Anyway, not sure where we are. Seems like a pocket dimension or something. Personally, I think our captors are aliens. It's the only thing that makes sense.

[Seras is so many hells of confused about that. How can a watch be capable of all of this stuff? Phones aren't even capable of this sort of thing back home.

But she will not ask about that yet; it's not that important. ]

A... pocket dimension? Aliens? H-how... How is that even possible? [She frowns heavy, brows furrowing before her expression lightens to one of mild skepticism.] I've only heard about that sort'f thing in sci-fi novels. [A little scoff and a laugh-- maybe this is just another illusion. None of this makes any sense.]

[Celty strikes a thoughtful pose for the moment, resting an elbow in one hand while tapping the bottom of her helmet. Finally she types up a new reply.]

Well, aliens have been at work for a long time on Earth, right? They've been involved in building who knows how many ancient sites. And now they abduct people and experiment on them, very likely for an impending invasion.

If you think about it, this city may be a testing pool.
