Test drive meme!
TEST-DRIVE MEME

Maybe you've considered appping a new character but you're not sure how well they would adjust to the in-game scenario? Well, here's a chance to give it a try!
• Post with a character journal you'd like to voicetest or you've considered apping to Ruby City. Feel free to play them as newcomers or as if they've been here for a while - the setting is your own choice.
•Respond to other threads with new characters or with characters who are already in the game.
• Explore different interactions, find castmates, develop possible CR - anything you want, as long as you have fun!

It's good that you're taking it in stride, but if you need help from other people, don't hesitate to ask, okay? I know I'll be willing to do what I can, and so will a lot of other people.
[She's just concerned!]
Since you might be here for a while, you should know that food, clothing, and shelter are all free, so don't worry about not being able to pay for things. [Though she doesn't like the idea of him being on his own.] There are apartment buildings with empty rooms. You might want to stay in one of those, so there are people close by in case you need anything.

So I just take anything I need? [It was easier to ask about than living arrangements.]

Perhaps later, you can show me?

[Oh, but there's the library. She opens the door and leads him inside.]
Once you're warmed up, we should get you some clothes that are more suited to the weather.
no subject
Thank you.
[Finally entering the warm, he kept the new coat around him. Maybe when he warmed up he would relinquish it. For now, he stared at the mountains of books.]

[She smiles, though, happy that he has accepted her help. She doesn't mind if he keeps the coat for the time being.]
Do you have any questions? I'll explain what I can, but it helps if I know where you want to start.

Oh...could you should me how you made this work? Your voice came out of it but I don't understand how.
no subject
Oh! [She fishes through the pocket of her own coat, retrieving her own watch.] You must have turned it on by accident. You can use these to communicate with the other people who live here. This button [she points, using her own watch to demonstrate] is for video, this one is for voice, and this one is for text.

And you can contact anyone on this?
no subject
Anyone within the city. We're all given one when we arrive.

Mm! Since it's cold out, if you promise you'll stay here in the library, I can go ahead of you and find you a new set of clothes to wear. That way, when I help you look around later, you won't have to worry about the weather at all. There are plenty of books here, so there's plenty for you to do until I come back.
