Test drive meme!
TEST-DRIVE MEME

Maybe you've considered appping a new character but you're not sure how well they would adjust to the in-game scenario? Well, here's a chance to give it a try!
• Post with a character journal you'd like to voicetest or you've considered apping to Ruby City. Feel free to play them as newcomers or as if they've been here for a while - the setting is your own choice.
•Respond to other threads with new characters or with characters who are already in the game.
• Explore different interactions, find castmates, develop possible CR - anything you want, as long as you have fun!

[He's got some Materia on him.
She sure doesn't seem okay. Cloud's getting a feeling about this. A not-so-good feeling.]
Your prince, huh?
[What's he supposed to say to that?]
So what's he like?
[He'll probably regret asking. Why does he get himself into these kinds of conversations?]
no subject
[She touches a hand to her chest, fingers beside her wound. It doesn't bleed as much as something like that should, though blood does tend to seep out over time.]
He's gallant and chivalrous, just like a prince from a storybook! [Apparently, she can't contain herself, because she twirls childishly as she speaks. Even just speaking about him makes her giddy, apparently.] It's fitting for him to be like that, too, since he's the kind of person naive enough to believe in that type of fairy tale.

[Leave it to Cloud to point out the obvious, but that doesn't look healed to him. He's also very suspicious of people who can be run through with a weapon and still be alive.]
He sounds real great. [He actually sounds kind of boring based on that description, but Cloud's not going to antagonize the weird girl unnecessarily. Who knows, maybe the guy's not that bad.]
But I'm not into fairy tales. And like I said, they don't do requests.
no subject
Do you think it's indecent? [She laughs.] This mark was left on me by my love, and that makes it as valuable as gold. I'd never be able to forgive myself if I threw it away.
Even if they don't take requests, I know I'll see him again. That he appeared again after eight years is proof that we're fated to be together!
[Though, considering her apparent age, that timeline doesn't sound quite right.]
no subject
Indecent's not the word I'd use. [More like "wrong", or "creepy".]
So, wait, you're saying this storybook guy stabbed you? [This is sounding more and more off.]
I don't think someone just showing up is proof of anything.
[And wait a second... Eight years? She looks like a kid.] How old are you?
no subject
[Apparently, she's getting excited again, what with the way she doesn't seem to want to stand still.]
By now, I'm nearly twenty. It's been eight long years since I've seen him...!
no subject
[He doesn't know the story, so he's not sure who to blame in this situation: the kid, or the guy who stabbed the kid. She's not exactly an ordinary kid. And apparently not a kid at all, either.]
Grail? Summoned?
[He's sensing he's more than a bit lost in this conversation. He doesn't know most of the things she's talking about. He just has the idea that she's probably wrong somehow.]
It could be a coincidence.
[He's not a believer in fate.]
no subject
[Because raising the Beast of Revelation will make him love her. Yes.]
No, it's more than a coincidence. He must have chosen to come back for me, if he answered its call again!
[Ayaka is just a temporary distraction. She'll do away with her when she's no longer needed to keep Saber alive.]
no subject
Can I ask why he stabbed you? [Though it's obviously a very personal question.]
What wish?
[He's all but given up on making sense of this girl and her weird story, but for some reason, he's still making an effort. He guesses that's what he does: make efforts.]
I don't know about this grail, but maybe he came back for some other reason?
no subject
[It wasn't mutual at all, but over the past eight years, her thoughts have become deluded and her memory warped. It happens.]
At first, I didn't understand it, but when I thought, I realized why he must have done it. [After all, she hadn't had much to do besides think.] By casting me into the Grail, I gained this immortal body. And when he returns to me this time, I'll return the favor, so we can be together forever!
[When he asks about Saber's wish, her expression shifts just slightly. The light to her eyes is just as innocent as before, but it's a different kind of excitement than what comes with her love for Saber.]
His wish to see the Holy Grail activated. I'll give him the thing he wants most in the entire world! That's why he has to have come back for me!
no subject
Age is pretty important if you're a kid.
[Whatever this grail is, he's getting the idea that casting someone into it probably isn't a good thing. Like casting Sephiroth into the Lifestream. Confused as he may be, he's already on Team Not Throwing People Into the Grail, Whatever It Is.] I don't know if that's a good idea. What's that gonna do, exactly?
Yeah, but... he's not here.
[Just going to point out the obvious as he likes to do.]
no subject
I told you. It'll give him an incarnate body, so we can be together until the end of time. [Though, well, with the amount of mana she has, she could probably sustain him indefinitely regardless.] It doesn't matter that he isn't here. Either he'll return to me, or I'll return to him. That's all there is to it.
[And, obviously, she isn't going to believe otherwise.]
no subject
Right. Sounds great. [No, it doesn't. It just makes no sense to him, that's all. He's clearly not going to break through this delusion about Mr. Stabby Storybook she's got going on, as it seems fairly entrenched. He feels kind of sorry for this guy, whoever he is.]
So, what're you going to do til then? Since he's not here.
[Cloud: not the best at subject changing.]
no subject
I'm not sure yet. Whatever seems fun, I guess. [The place seems a little desolate, but there are people around, and she knows there's a coffeeshop. It can't be all bad, then.] It's been a while since I've been able to go out like this. Maybe I'll try to make some friends.
[Actually, it's strange and a little lonely being away from the Grail, but...]
