I wonder, if I were to leave a plate of nachos on the front porch would you and your brothers come prowling? I may have to experiment with that.

Nachos?? Girl, I'd teleport my ass over there and become a feline vacuum before the others even got a distant sniff.

[He hasn't had good nachos in a fucking coon's age and he's suddenly reminded that it's actually been a while since he's eaten. Maybe there's somewhere he can get some nachos around this place.]

Hey hey, speaking of nachos, are there any food places open? Or at least somewhere I can grab a snack for cheap, 'cause I'm wastin' away over here.

I know. I've seen you eat. I'm still slightly astounded your jaw can't unhinge.

[He'd practically inhaled the cake at her wedding.]

There's a general store, a pleasant little tea shop, a coffee shop, the saloon if you're in the mood for a liquid lunch. Don't worry about payment. Everything is free.

[There does not exist a dumber giggle.]

Free is my favorite price. I gotta find these places and give myself a proper welcome. Feel like joinin' me? I could use a little friendly company, an' you seem like a pretty chill gal.

[And there she goes, smiling even wider.]

Hmm, you know I may be able to spare a bit of time in my hectic schedule to give you a small tour of the shops. I think Diamanda will forgive me for abandoning her to nap in the library for the day.

[That's a weird name for a cat - or at least, what he's assuming to be a cat. For all he knows it could be some kind of Eldritch abomination from the furthest reaches - he is talking to a Lalonde after all.]

Er, yeah. A tour sounds great! It'll take me forever to find everything myself, I keep gettin' distracted. Ah, you know how it is.

Mmhmm, she can be very picky about where she sleeps.

[She is a cat but she'll leave him to wonder. It's more fun that way.]

[Rose arrives fairly quickly for her house being nearly clear across the city. She's made the walk to the station enough times to know the fastest route and the right shortcuts to get there faster.

She smiles when she spots him.]

Hello, Bro.

Whu-- Hey, girl!

[He whips around and grins, giving her a little wave in greeting.]

That didn't take long. You live nearby or what?

[Strider please, Who are you calling 'girl'? She's twice your age. But she'll let it pass.]

Clear across the city actually. I've just gotten very good at shortcuts. Shall we?

[He lifts an eyebrow above his shades, then shrugs.]

Fair enough.
But yeah, let's get outta here, this station's startin' to get a little boring.

[She leads him away from the train station, toward the center of the city and the grocery store, just as she said she would.]

You never asked my name, you know. You invited me to join you on a stroll around the city and you didn't even ask for my name. I'd almost consider that rude.

[Judging by the smirk on her lips she's teasing.
