TEST-DRIVE MEME

Maybe you've considered appping a new character but you're not sure how well they would adjust to the in-game scenario? Well, here's a chance to give it a try!
• Post with a character journal you'd like to voicetest or you've considered apping to Ruby City. Feel free to play them as newcomers or as if they've been here for a while - the setting is your own choice.
•Respond to other threads with new characters or with characters who are already in the game.
• Explore different interactions, find castmates, develop possible CR - anything you want, as long as you have fun!

[ Luck is quite the intangible concept, but he knows he can help. ]
Perhaps I might interest you in some wares?
[ He pulls out two cards, distinctively saying "luck" and "fortune" each, waving them slowly. ]
no subject
[Before he could answer the question, or even question it itself, his attention is drawn the cards, observing them for a moment. Luck had a strange way of working for him and perhaps this meeting could be a sign of it.]
Your wares?
[Well, he's interested.]
no subject
[ Huhuhu. ]
Ah, but you seem to be an... interesting individual indeed.
[ Chuckle. ]
Peut-être un rabais est en ordre?
no subject
[An interesting indivual, you say? Oh, he'll eye the cards in your hands until you put them away.]
Would you be up for an information trade, maybe? If you can answer any questions regarding our location.
no subject
[ But of course, as a dedicated merchant, the market of information is always very profitable, either in monetary or philosophical gain. ]
Toutefois...
[ Huhuhu. ]
I'll tell you all I know, if you would care to tell me about your luck.
no subject
Ah, my luck. Well, you see.. they call me a super highschool level student, meaning I stand out and excel in a specific field. Whether you consider it or not an actual field of study or a talent, mine, is good luck!
[He says it with a smile on his face, most naturally.]
It's the only thing I can say I'm good at and the only thing I truly believe in, my luck.
no subject
[ He mutters something under his breath before a slight, low laugh. ]
C'est pour très intéressant en effet!
[ Wherever it was he happened to find himself on, it seems he's not about to find a lack of interesting individuals. ]
Would you consider happening upon this place being bad luck?
no subject
[His smile broadens, as grips his own sleeves.]
no subject
Ahh, l'espérance...
[ Huhuhu. ]
The preceding misfortune, you say? Votre définition de la chance, c'est rare, mais très intéressant...
[ It definitely piques his interest, the other's reaction, though. ]
What would happen to be your name, stranger?
no subject
Ah, my name, of course. Nagito Komaeda. Doesn't really bother me whether you use my first or last name, usually Komaeda is just fine. May I ask what is yours?
no subject
[ Huhu. ]
Je m'apelle Zacharie, a pleasure to make your acquaintance.
[ Zacharie looks up, his mask fixated on the teenager's face. ]
Dites-moi, Komaeda, do you consider our meeting to be part of fate, or luck?
no subject
[His attention is yours and he believes this meeting can prove itself of importance].
no subject
[ His stare is still fixated on the other. ]
Could you have been destined to meet me, or am I but a part of your cycle of misery and fortune? Pensez-y.
no subject
[He believes in his good luck so blindly.]
I'm looking forward to see what does the future have in store for us. I can only hope this meeting is a sign of something to come!
no subject
[ Chuckle. ]
Comment savez-vous que ce n'est pas malchance?
no subject
[The same, slightly... lunatic expression might be showing again.]
no subject
Eh bien, je vous souhaite la meilleure des chances dans vos entreprises de hasard.
[ He reaches into his backpack, and pulls out a Luck and a Fortune ticket. ]
Perhaps you might want these, to tip the scales in your favor, non?
no subject
[You never know.]
Ah. And you still haven't done your part in our trade.
no subject
[ He laughs a bit. ]
But of course! A merchant always keeps to his promises...
[ Huhuhu. ]
The extent of what I know about the city is...
[ A slight pause. ]
Absolutely nothing!
no subject
[When your life is a roller coaster of good and bad luck, that is.]
Oh..? Absolutely nothing?
[He frowns a bit at the answer.]
Have you arrived on this same train, then..?
no subject
[ Hehe. ]
Rien de rien. I arrived precisely the same way you did.
no subject
[As long as there is hope, all seemingly bad situations shall be overcome.]
Perhaps we should explore? Who knows what may we find.
no subject
[ That earns another chuckle from Zacharie, after which he does a little hop, adjusting his gigantic backpack and looking toward the city. ]
That does seem like a good idea, my friend. There is much knowledge to be found in the unknown.
[ Oui oui Zacharie. ]
no subject
To the city, then. Perhaps there we will find answers.
