TEST-DRIVE MEME

Maybe you've considered appping a new character but you're not sure how well they would adjust to the in-game scenario? Well, here's a chance to give it a try!

• Post with a character journal you'd like to voicetest or you've considered apping to Ruby City. Feel free to play them as newcomers or as if they've been here for a while - the setting is your own choice.

•Respond to other threads with new characters or with characters who are already in the game.

• Explore different interactions, find castmates, develop possible CR - anything you want, as long as you have fun!

[Atta girl, mini Rose. Keep up dat aloofness.]

They seem to be particularly picky about who they bring. I've meet three John Egberts in the near year I've been here. They seem to have a particular fondness for Striders as well. We previously had an abundance of them.

[Apparently aloofness will serve her well in the future, so.]

It appears there's still an abundance with some new arrivals, no? And an ample supply of Lalondes as well. The latter being much more fathomable than the former, of course.

There's been a severe lack of fellow Lalondes these past few months. I've been the only one for so long I'm intrigued as to what brought on the sudden rush.

[And a little disappointed Roxy isn't among them, whoops.]

Perhaps our captors grew weary of Striders and Egberts.

[/kind of hoping Roxy doesn't come because holy shit, Mom being here is already way more than she can handle]

I wouldn't be surprised. Lovable scamps that they are, they can become tiresome in large number over a long period of time. [She loves her boys to death, don't get her wrong but she has been dying for more ladies who get her.

And +1 on complicated Mom feelings but she has a natural bias to want her daughter with her. It's the curse of the Guardians.]

In the past, I've only had to deal with a maximum of two at a time, and that only short periods.

Living with one of them is trying enough, of course. The inexplicable obsession with phallic symbolism is endless, and the pining for apple juice is equally inexhaustible. Is there an ample supply of the magical golden nectar known colloquially as "AJ" to satisfy the numerous Strider incarnations here?

[hahahaha. MOMMY ISSUES.]

There is. Christmas saw to that. They want not for their beloved "AJ" and I'm glad of it.

I'd advise against going near Davesprite's personal supply. It ruffles his feathers.

[Even in other universes MOMMY ISSUES REMAIN. Damned memories of a past universe.]

Ah, he did mention that. Right after elaborating extensively about the rules of Casa de Strilonde, most of which referred to his nest.

Ah yes, his nest. He's quite protective of that. I'm still trying to figure out if that's from the crow he's fused with or if it's a natural Dave quality.

I would have to guess the crow, but now that you mention it, the one I left on the meteor has grown somewhat fond of the trolls' piles.
