Heeeey, Ruby City. You all are great but my attention span just isn't focused enough for a game, plus now that life kind of happened and zapped all my energy I think it's best I bow out.

Weather

With the month rounding off it's starting to get a little warmer naturally (what, you didn't think those balmy 60F+ degree temperatures were here to stay until at least May, did you?), hitting a high of around 53F on the 28th. Consistent daytime temperatures above freezing mean that the river is starting to thaw, so ice skating on it is not recommended unless you want to take a dip in the water!

The lake is also thawing, slowly, though the ice is still thick at least a dozen metres from the shore. Unfortunately, for any of you gardeners out there, the ground is also pretty much frozen solid, and it's probably not a good idea to plant anything just yet with all those nasty snap frosts.

City News

After recent events it's safe to say that NPC activity is currently on an increase, particularly a certain blonde female going by the name of Chari Landry. She and Chassie have been getting up some some mischief while Dil, Gene and Temper are busy with.. other things (that we can't tell you yet). Tim, (un?)fortunately has been missing entirely for several months and Atien's lack of appearance along with him can't be good news.

The thawing, however slight it is, is bringing some of Ruby City's 'native' fauna out to play. Wildlife available for hunting and trapping is on the increase, and with the ice in the centre of the lake broken, anyone around that area at the times of sunrise and sunset may see the long tentacled arms of the kraken waving over the surface. The mer are still absent, riding out the cold temperatures deeper in the lake's murky waters. Most of the forest's inhabitants are still sleeping, making it a dangerous place to be without the friendlier spirits and nymphs to warn unwary travellers out of harms way.

Stores are currently stocked as normal, though fresh produce looks to be a little on the small side.
