Everything is back to normal! Well, almost everything.

Though the stalls have disappeared (anything won from them is yours to keep!), the dryads have retreated back to their forest and the fireflies, though still present, are no longer creating mischief, the obelisk is now being made conspicuous by its absence. Instead, the large well with its slightly cryptic, ominous message remains in the middle of the city, perhaps putting to rest any concerns that may have been had about a time limit.

Or perhaps not.

There is currently a poll here, regarding what will be asked of the well should all coin pieces be brought together ICly, in which everyone is encouraged to participate!

The mod team is looking forward to the outcome and how we might implement it!

Hiatus, news, whatevs

Good afternoon, doves! Luciano-mini-mod here.

You may have noticed that several things around Ruby City's interface have been being updated lately. This is my project; getting Ruby City updated to a smoother, easier to use, and more professional-looking level.

This takes a lot of time, however, so my tags have been slow and Fee has been taking the work re: updating the threat level.

In more exciting news, I'm finally at a point in my transition where I will be changing my name! This... requires a lot of work too. Changing ID cards, birth certificates, etc., and doing all the necessary doctors appointments means that I have very little time between this and site updates, so tags have gone ignored.

I promise, I will get back to them all soon. However, as to avoid accumulating more, I'm going to be putting Virgil, Maya, Conrad, and Saber on autopilot hiatus. Sissel will be dropped. Once all this is over, I'll be back in business.

Thank you for your patience, and I hope you all enjoy what we're doing to make your RC experience more pleasing as well!

Super Late Hiatus - Fuck You Life

So as many of ya'll have probably noticed, I've been awol for at least two weeks. Work has become a chaotic mess, my mother is visiting for the entire week, and I just am nearly at wits end.

So with a heavy heart I'm pulling a 'I'm sorry for those I plotted with for the event and other things' hiatus starting today for the next week - maybe two.

Again, so many apologies to all your lovley dears who I plotted ideas with for the event. I'll make it up to you somehow!

Full Weather Report | Threat Report

The weather's going downhill, we're sorry to say, with high temperatures, high humidity and frequent thunder storms blighting the first half of the month. It seems to be bothering the local wildlife, with hunting being scarce and even the predators looking a little more jumpy than usual, moving in larger groups.

City News

The summer event is over, the dryads have returned to their homes (and to the realm of moderator controlled interactions), the stalls and games have disappeared from the streets but the strange well remains in place of the obelisk that normally dominates the city centre. At the moment, the NPCs are simply watching the progression of current events, but hasn't it been a long time since anyone last saw Tim Lear?

In light of the behaviour of her subjects over the past week, the dryad queen is paying the city a visit. More predatory creatures will keep away from her for as long as she's there - it's never wise to threaten a creature who can control the trees - and she is open to being approached by anyone in the city. Those who suffered less than gentle treatment from the younger tree spirits will find her to be a much kinder audience.

Keeping with the warmer weather, the supplies in the shops have shifted - clothing in particular - and the general store is currently experiencing a bumper supply of herbs and spices not normally found in stock. Take advantage of them while you can!

Captain America and Waver Velvet are co-ordinating a polling system to decide what the coin pieces from the event will be used for, should all of them be ICly collected together. While there is no time limit on this decision ICly, the poll itself is time sensitive! Please go ahead and vote in it, as we currently have less than 50% participation! After this poll closes today (July 1st) at 9 PM EST/6 PM PACIFIC TIME, there will be a second with narrower options.

Current and Upcoming Events

The presence of the well will have unforeseen effects in the following weeks whether it is used or not, but for now, everything is back to normal.

Miscellaneous

The Activity Check will be going up on Saturday, July 5th. Guidelines can be found in the rules and also in the handy visual guide drawn up by our own helper mod Luc! As always, if you have (or suspect you will have) any trouble with activity, please feel free to contact a mod ahead of time.
