State of the City

Mostly sunny with a bit of cloud, growing cooler as summer comes to an end, city residents can expect more of a chill than they're used to with the wind coming in off the ocean only a few miles away at its closest point. The forest offers some protection to the east, but at least now that saltwater smell has a definite source. It might be a good time for some home improvement, with the still pleasant weather not being as stifling as earlier in the year. Humidity is still high, but the breeze keeps it from being too uncomfortable.
Dahlias, salvias and hibiscus are adding splashes of colour to the plains and the edges of the woods, amongst other autumn flowers.
City News
Animals and native creatures are still unsettled but slowly creeping back, though they're still showing some unusual behaviours. Those who might have readily approached are shying away from any contact and those who would normally attack on sight can be seen turning tail and moving away if they're spotted too close to the city. Pursuing them will result in normal attacks once the distances reaches half a mile or so from the city walls. The city may feel a few small tremors over the course of the month as the leviathan living in the lake below expresses its pleasure at the return of its master, Atien Moore. Don't worry, it's not going to hurt anyone.
Unless someone decides to pay it a visit.
Store stocks are still holding steady, though they wouldn't suffer for some supplementation from the residents. Fresh meat, in particular, is something that is often seen to be in short supply. In fact, the only thing that seems to be a constant is the pumpkins. Isn't that odd?
September 24th will mark the second appearance of The Emporium, beside the pond across from the observatory. You have until then to make your requests, so if there's anything you'd like to try for, get them submitted! As a reminder, those who didn't respond with their stated trade during August can resubmit, but they might get a different (and potentially trickier) request in return for their second try.
All major structural damage from the Night Mare event has been repaired by the trio of Prudence, Lex and Ratter, and the three are still making themselves known around the city. Even the seven 'overseers' appear to be baffled by their presence, though as of yet, they haven't made their concerns widely known.

A few reminders! There will be a new test drive next week, but for now there is still the August test drive, running and available for use.
Also, please remember that we now have an NPC Contact page. These are for contacting our current NPCs via network, though the one that you're trying to contact may not always be the one that replies.
Finally, don't forget that there is a well populated bestiary entirely for your use! Please let us know if you'd like to have a monster encounter NPC'd, we're more than happy to oblige.
